Yep. But the cheap ones can have mixed results. Line6 recommends the M-Audio Midisport. Here are 2 versions: http://www.amazon.co.uk/M-Audio-Midisport-Uno-Interface-Bus-Powered/dp/B00007JRBM http://www.amazon.co.uk/M-Audio-Midisport-1x1-MIDI-Interface/dp/B00006I5HD That's not to say the cheaper one won't work, but at least returns thru Amazon are easy.

UX1 Tones for Live Guitar Rig
Triryche replied to thickage's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
The PODxt Live and POD X3 Live use the same algorithms, they are legacy though. The FX100 is based on the same POD Farm algorithms, but the signal chain is a bit different. You might also look at the POD HD 500x, it's the next generation of their algorithms. Also Line6 just announced a new pedal board at NAMM, Firehawk. -
I would guess when they become available, the will give us a all the details.

Playing video games in an unmeaningful way is tragic. :(

I called Firebirds Firebirds too!! :D It's a different make.
-
Are you saying when you engage the Wah effect, you are getting a volume boost?
-
When I first heard the name, the first thing that came to my mind was the Firehawk Trans Am.

There are rumors of a Yamaha Variax guitar?

The Mobile Pod isn't really meant to intergrate with the HD or DT series. The HD and DT integrate with each other and the tones are, IMHO, superior.

I didn't look at the actually patches, but starting @ ~ 4:10 it seemed to be the exact sound the OP is after.

Very interesting!! Glad you got it sorted though. -
This guy seems to get pretty darn close.

Have you tried downloading the newest version of Monkey from Line6?
-
What kind of crash is happening? Can you reproduce the crash? If so, what is the recipe?
-
In the meantime, do you have an iOS 7 or 8 device you can use? If so you can update via Bluetooth.

Does Monkey see the JTV? -
Also give the Particle Reverb a try, it has 3 conditions. Not quite the same, but does give some shimmer.
-
Not that I am aware of.

Plugging into the front of the amp will route your guitar signal through the Vox's preamp, and thos the Vox's modeling. Going through the FX loop bypasses the preamp and goes straight to the power amp, and is going to get you closest to what you hear in the headphones, but it is going to be mono (unless your Vox is stereo).

That does sound strange? Are you using a stereo cable (TRS) to connect to the mp3 in?
-
Start with your quietest patch and adjust the volume, then lower the volume of all the other patches to match.

You can only synch the app to 1 AMPLIFi device at a time.

My guess is it is normal feedback. But hard to say without hearing it. Can you post a clip? Does it happen with a blank patch?
