  1. Try forgetting the connection on both devices (Android & iOS) and then do a factory reset. Reinstall the app before attempting to pair the AMPLIFi again.
  2. Have you tried the Synth Harmony or the Bender?
  3. You can have a patch that is essentially blank (no amps or effects) which will send the dry signal which is virtually unprocessed. I say virtually as there is an A/D convention and a gain stage.
  4. I'm powering my POD with the official Line6 PSU it came with.    Currently I am only doing home studio projects, monitoring with a pair of JBL LSR4328's.
  5. If the firmware is current, you really do not need a computer. Have you try using you HTC with it?
  6. Quite possibly. FWIW, the update Utility is fairly recent, prior to the FW that added Android compatibility an iOS device was the only was to flash.
  7. Just for clarification, the Bluetooth stream is not routed to the AMP Out, only guitar. But if your guitar is not coming thru, that is an issue. Have you flashed to the current firmware? Also, after you flash, do a factory reset and pedal calibration.
  8. Me too, that can be a dangerous move!! I can't complain either, my wife has been very supportive over the years.
  9. Are you able to use the AMPLIFi with the HTC now that the FW is current? The only thing the Utility does is flash the firmware, although it is very fast compared to BT, I hate flashing via BT, so I'd be frustrated too. I have seen other users report problems trying to update via the Utility, so if it is a bug hopefully Line6 will get it sorted soon.
  10. Make it a great day!!

  11. In Setting>>Options>>Auto Tone Loading Make sure this box is not checked. If the box is not checked when you play a song in the app, it will still suggest tone matches, but not load them automatically.
  12. The 100 presets (25 X 4) are stored in the amp, you need the app or compatible Line6 floorboard to access the other banks.
  13. The AMPLIFi stores 100 presets in the hardware, not the phone/app. In the App any tones you save to "My Tones" are stored in the cloud for your Line6 account (with a local copy on your phone/tablet). Currently there is no PC or Mac editor for the AMPLIFi series.
  14. Line6 does this to weed out the unworthy... You shall pass!!
  15. You have to be very careful with the Level on the DS-1, start very low, it is easy to come in too hot which will clip the input on the GX.
  16. By chance can you hunt someone down with a Win8 machine and try that? I know it's a PITA!!!
  17. Absolutely!! My go to drives are the Screamer and the Tube Drive, really love that Tube Drive. Rounding it out is the Classic Distortion, it's pretty darn close the first pedal I purchased, the Yamaha DI-10MII
  18. Yes, you can connect any guitar pedal in front of the GX or POD HD. But there are also good Distortion models in the GX, and POD HD.
  19. My apologies, I didn't catch the Apple or Laptop reference, from the 1st I had the impression you were trying to update from a tablet. What OS is you laptop? Can you try a friends Laptop/PC? Or maybe go to the retailer to help with the update?
  20. I'm a lefty, but learned righty because I didn't want to wait 6 to 8 weeks for a special order (I was16yrs old). On the one hand, I wish I would have learned lefty, on the other hand playing righty is convenient because chances are, if there's a guitar laying around, it is right-handed, on the other hand . . . never mind, I'm outta hands.
  21. Yep!! Regardless of what type of Input Controls your DAW may have, you can't "Un-Hot" what's already coming down the USB!!
  22. And channel volume of the amp, don't forget that, it will directly affect the signal strength pump down the USB. If monitoring gets too quite, turn up the Master.
  23. The mixer in the POD, which can also be seen/adjusted with POD 500 Edit.
  24. When you say the waveforms are "maxed out" are you saying they are flat on the top? Try turning your down the channel volume on the amp model and/our the faders on the mixer block. Also make sure there are no plug-ins on the track.
