  1. Go to "Settings" in your profile. Here's a direct link. https://line6.com/account/personalinfo/
  2. They won't transfer. Although the tones are based on the same algorithms, the signal chain structure in the AMPLIFi is a bit different.
  3. That sucks that the Utility isn't working and you can't get a hold of a Win8 or iOS as a workaround. IMHO it really is a fun board, but I totally get one can only spend so much time and energy.
  4. Another thing to try, sorry for not mentioning it before, is to make sure the FX100 is NOT enabled as an audio device in Windows before attempting the update. If it is, disable it. I know it's a PITA, but you could call Line6 or submit a support ticket. I know it doesn't help you now. Also, if you purchased it locally, maybe they can help you get the current firmware.
  5. There is a bar that will fill red if the fw is updating, it only takes a couple minutes IG it works. You could try different USB and temporarily disabling any firewall/antivirus. Do you know anyone with a Win8 laptop?
  6. You likely need to flash the firmware. They didn't add Android compatibility until v2.0. The current version is v2.1. Download the AMPLIFi drivers and Utility. Instal the drivers then run the Utility, follow the instructions to put the AMPLIFi into Update Mode. I've seen users report difficulties with the Utility on Win7 64 bit machines, if you encounter problems, try a Win8 machine if one is available. Another option is an iOS7 or 8 device which you can use to update via Bluetooth (takes 3~0-4 5minutes). Once you are current you can also flash with Android. Post back with an update if you can.
  7. I'm kicking myself for not remembering this!! Make sure your app is synched and all 100 presets are populated to the app. Go to "My Tones" Click the options dots (upper right corner, they will not be present if your hardware is not synched, which is the excuse I am using for not remembering    ) Select "Save to Hardware" In the app navigate to the slot you want to save to and select.
  8. Did you try reinstalling the app? Also make sure you forget the device and then re-pair.
  9. I would suggest you demo the DT25 to see if it is load enough for you. The DT25 and AMPLIFi are 2 totally different lines. The HD500x integrates with the DT25.
  10. I'm wondering if you have an overall effect engaged somewhere in FL, like a plug-in. The FX100 has two channels, L and R, so those 3 options are allowing you to select L, R, or L/R (both). Selecting L/R will give you the stereo signal of the FX100. Did you try searching or posting in the FL Studio forums too?
  11. Unless they're active, which I assume they are not, you definitely need to power them with some type of power amp. Did you use the speakers with a Hi-Fi system or other stereo receiver? If so you may be able to run your UX into your Hi-Fi. And depending on the type of inputs, you may need to be careful of the levels.
  12. I am not familiar with the FL Studio interface. Are you selecting somewhere in the software the FX100 ASIO as your device? Sorry for sounding dense, but can you explain how you put your guitar to one of the mixer channels?
  13. My week got away from me! I recently picked up a JTV-89F so I've been mostly playing thru my HD Bean. I will make a pint of it to look at this tonite.
  14. Yes, you could use it. But if you are recording via USB the sound you hear while you play will greatly differ from your recording. Easiest connection would be Left out to one of the 1/4" ins. If you use the guitar input you will need to be careful with the level coming out of the UX so you don't come in too hot. If you use the FX Return it will bypass the amp's preamp, you should still watch the levels coming out, but it is not as easy to clip as the preamp.
  15. Not sure I follow that statement. What do you mean by "different compared to the sound out of FL studio"?
  16. I have the FX100 which I monitor with studio monitors. I personally think they went with the POD Farm/PODxt/X3 tones for a few reasons: Lower price point, first to market, tones may be easier to dial in than HD for many, a larger initial data base of tones for tone matching, and proof of concept. Looks like the proof of concept panned out for them and now they are offering the Firehawk, which can run xt and HD tones. I also own a PODxt and UX2, but for whatever reason, the FX100 sounds better.
  17. I don't use FL Studio, But it sounds like you may have "Monitoring" (may be called something else) turned on. Or a plug-in effect. Or both.
  18. I will have a look when I get home later tonite if someone doesn't beat me to it. But I seem to remember having to change a parameter setting in the editor to get the the "Save to Hardware" option.
  19. It does not need to be an i-Tunes purchase, it just needs to reside on the device. My guess with google music is that it is streamed? You can also search the cloud for tones by Artist and Song title.
  20. Have you flashed the FX100 to the current firmware? Have you installed the USB Audio driver?
  21. +1 to silverhead (assuming by amplitude you mean AMPLIFi)
