  1. I think you are hear how the reverb reacts to different effects/playing. Or are you saying the actually settings are moving?
  2. Technically, yes there is a slight reduction. But if you have everything set up correctly, you would be hard pressed to notice it, especially in the final mix.
  3. Always a wise plan!! Buying a product in anticipation of would it might be in the future many times ends in disappointment.
  4. Per your suggestion, there would have to be a default preset to load, for example A, so if you bank up or down and stop, then it loads preset A of the current bank? Then there would need to be a time limit, otherwise every bank you scroll thru will potentially load preset A of that bank, causing many unnecessary loading of presets.
  5. The nice thing about the Hardware Independent version, is the 30day money back, so you can confirm that it works with your setup.
  6. Also download the newest Monkey, it will update your drivers. You may also want to install POD Farm 1.12, it replaces Gearbox for the Toneports. Unless you purchase(d) an upgrade to POD Farm 2, do not bother downloading it (Monkey will probably show it as available). You will likely need to run the License Manager, which is bundled with the Monkey.
  7. Digitiech has one, but I never tried it. Also try a google search. But it sounds like you need JTV Guitar!! I recently purchased one and can say the 12 string models far exceeded my expectations. http://line6.com/guitars/
  8. In Reaper's preferences, you should be able to select the TT as a recording device. It will probably say something Line6 ASIO TT. You should be all set, nut need to use the Focusrite if you just what to send the TT to Reaper via USB.
  9. Do you have a DAW? (Digital Audio Workstation) Reaper has an unprincipled demo, and the full version is only ~$60 (haven't checked in a while), they also have a decent forum, plus many users around here use it too. IMHO great bang for your buck, but there are plenty to choose from. Just make sure you get one that supports ASIO.
  10. If you pump your processed guitar to Reaper via USB or add POD Farm Plug-in within Reaper, it is you PC processing the modeled sound in both cases. So if prefer "what you hear is what you get on the fly", no need to good thru the workflow I described. I'm more of, get my tracks down with proper timing and technique, and craft the final tone later.
  11. Do you have a Line6 UX type device? If so you have a nice workflow. The quick answer is the sound is the same, assuming equal levels. The follow assumes a Toneport or POD Studio device. In Reaper select Line6 ASIO as your device and enable First Input = 1 and Last Input = 4. Create 2 new tracks and arm to record. One will receive Send 1/2 and the other Send 3/4. In POD Farm (standalone) Mixer view configure 2 of the sends to send dry and the other processed. Now when record you will hear the modeled sound but simultaneous capture wet and dry. The when you are done you can add the plug-in to the dry track for extra tweaking. The wet track gives you a reminder of what you were after, and the dry track can be reprocessed with the plug-in many different ways for fine tuning.
  12. Assuming you have a compatible iOS or Android device to edit the patches, you have access to 100 presets. You can edit any preset and save it to the hardware, also the last 4 presets (Bank 25 A,B,C, and D) are empty.
  13. I like to have a HDD dedicated for recording. I run the OS, DAW and other software on one HDD and the recording/capturing on the other. To silverhead's point regarding performance, best would be to use the desktop only for recording and only connect to the net as needed and not bog down your pc with unneeded software. And be sure your OS is 64 bit, 32 bit can only see 4G of RAM (most Windows machines are these days).
  14. I wonder if her is referring to the AMP out, which definitely colors it.
  15. Also, connecting a cable to the amp out will remove the guitar from the main outs and headphones.
  16. Could it be that you do have the i-Lok version? The standalone may still work with available amps of the trial version.
  17. In Gearbox you can back-up all the PODxt's presets as a bundle. Word of caution when reflashing, if you purchased it 2nd with added Model Packs you will loose them, unless the previous owner gifted them to you or surrendered their Line6 account. If YOU purchased Model Packs, no worries.
  18. No difference in sound quality. The UX2 has phantom power (required for condenser mics) the UX1 does not.
  19. POD Farm does not have a hardware insert per se, but you may be able to do something depending on your DAW's options. Check out this video, might be what you're looking for. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ao3L74R7t7M
