  1. Run the the Main Out(s) to your AMP's FX return. Build you patches with No AMP/Cab sim. With this method you get the color of your AMP's preamp, power amp, and Cab with only the effects of the FX100.
  2. I would try plugging headphones directly into the Guitar Link. If it is an ASIO / Core Audio Device, that would be the proper setup.
  3. The AMPLIFi Remote App communicates with the FX100 via Bluetooth (BT for short). The Remote App has a music player. If you play music from the app's player, it will stream the music via BT to the FX100. This stream is routed to the Headphone and the Main Outs, not the Amp out.
  4. 1) Yes they are different. The AMP OUT is more EQ'ed for going into the front of a combo amp and contains on;ly the guitar, no BT music stream. 2) The main outs are line level, any balanced 1/4 to XLR should be fine, keeping in mind it is Line Level. 3) Plugging one cable into the L(mono) Main Out it will mono sum the output.
  5. Just for the record, if you try to connect you pc via BT, it would be for streaming only, so if you are running the AMPLIFi Remote App, it is likely taking over the BT connection. You cannot connect to more than one BT stream simultaneously.
  6. Check your volume pedal. Also, if you updated the flash, you need to recalibrate your volume pedal.
  7. The POD HD becomes the sound card, so all your pc sounds will go thru it too. You could connect your pc's speakers to it, depending on your setup, a cable like this may help. http://www.zzounds.com/item--HOSHMPY
  8. Yes, you need to connect your speakers (or whatever your monitoring solution) directly to the POD HD.
  9. Yo need to do a pedal calibration. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/fx100/post-flash-update-instructions-for-fx100-r645
  10. Running the POD HD500 analog outs into the AMPLIFi 150's AUX In is likely the best way to go. As far as no sound when turning off Reverb, try with headphones per phil's suggestion in this thread to see if you have an issue with the woofer. http://line6.com/support/topic/10137-turning-off-fx-in-chain-disables-all-volume-normal/
  11. Yes, it is the FX100 signal without streaming, but it is EQ'ed to go into a the front of a guitar amp, to my ears the main outs to the fx return was the way to go, if you do not have to worry about the BT stream going to the fx return.
  12. If you mean visa USB, then no. But you could run the headphone outs to a recording interface.
  13. The models and effects are based on the POD Farm/X3 series. They are a bit different, with the X3 you could have dual tones. With the Fx100 you can use more than one of the same type of effect. I do not have any specifics, but to my ears, the FX100 seems to have hotter main outs and headphone out. Also, the models seem a bit more defined. Also, I think the models are somehow rendered different than the xt/X3 series, but I do not know the details. I compare it playing a DVD on a Blu-Ray player.
  14. Not sure. But that is how it is at the moment. I hope they change this behavior in a future update.
  15. Full Range Flat Response Studio monitors are a good example, there are also FRFR amps. PA's are pretty much in that realm as well. What sounds best would be your call, but the main outs to a PA is a good setup. Also, if your amp has an FX loop, the main out(s) to the return works well too, but if your are streaming music it will go thru also. Not sure if that can be done on a FW update, but it would seem reasonable that sending a studio direct signal minus the BT stream would be doable. You could post a suggestion on idea scale.
  16. Yeah, that is exactly what it is, a time based effect transitioning to a new time. btw, I think a new topic for each question/comment is cleaner anyways.
  17. I was able to update with a Win8 laptop. What I'm not sure of is if the Win7 utility currently works with a 32 bit OS.
  18. Think of the main outs as the "studio direct" setting from other POD's which is meant for a FRFR. The amp out is EQ'ed more like the "combo" setting of other POD's.
  19. LOL!! No shame, we all have our moments!!
  20. Make sure the mods are post amp. If they are pre amp, the amp will mono sum the signal.
  21. Yeah, it may not be that obvious because "no amp" is only an option under clean. You can also select an amp and have no cab/mic.
  22. +1 to phil, Also, the most recent firmware (as of this post) is 2.0
  23. Amp>>Type>>Clean>>No Amp
