  1. You can not use the Line In with guitar or mic. You can use Line 1, Line 2, or Line 1 and 2. Guitar, Mic, or Guitar and Mic.
  2. You need to select Line Inputs in POD Farm or the Line6 Audio MIDI control Panel.
  3. Not sure if the OP is referring to ToneDirect settings in PF2, which can send the wet signal.
  4. Just for clarification, is this the Hardware Independent PF2 of the i-Lok version? (i-Lok is plug-in only). If it is the Hardware Independent version, if you go to preferences in PF and click the Hardware tab, does PF see the Scarlett?
  5. I don't have my xt right now to check, but I think it would be in the Stomp "bucket".
  6. The Auto Swell is in the Dynamic group of fx
  7. I don't have a patch for you, but would looking under the Mod FX's and try the different tremolos and the pitch vibrato.
  8. IMHO, plugging the HD500 into the guitar in will kill the HD's great tone. The models in the HD vs the AMPLIFi are totally different algorithms.
  9. The X3 has no packs, it comes fully loaded. It is like a PODxt with all the model packs.
  10. You need to use the POD Farm 1.12 plug-in (unless you purchased a PF 2.5 License). If you want to use specific tones from X3's mem, you would need to save them to your HDD first using Gearbox. Gearbox is the editor for the X3. POD Farm is the plug-in (can not be used to edit the X3)
  11. I think Bank 25 has 4 empty slots, until you overwrite them with a tone.
  12. It's stereo. Try a ping-pong delay to confirm stereo separation.
  13. Sonically PF1 is the same as PF2. There are more routing options for the FX chain, and since POD Farm works only as a plug-in with the X3, can work around it in your DAW.
  14. I am not sure what the native sampling rate is of the UX series, I think it up-samples to achieve 96K. Have you tried setting the rate in your DAW then checking "match host" in the Line6 Audio-MIDI control panel? I don't have access to my UX atm, so I do not remember the exact wording.
  15. A condenser mic requires phantom power, the Pocket Pod has no phantom power. You would need a mic preamp that supplies phantom or a different interface that supplies phantom power.
  16. What silverhead said!! You can easily spend thousands of dollars on an interface. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ApolloQuadTB But it boils down to your needs. Are you looking for just an interface, or interface plus modeling and plug-in's. The Lexicon I linked to was an affordable solution needed for me at the time for the extra inputs, but it does not come with all the modeling the UX/POD Farm series has. If you are a musician or recording enthusiast, there are plenty of interfaces around the $500 or less as well as plug-in software. But spending lots of money on interfaces and gear, doesn't necessarily mean anything will sound better. Mixing a final product is a whole other art than playing, so is recording. If you are at a point where you feel the UX is your limiting factor, you could try another one, hopefully on a 30 day return policy, and see if there is a discernible improvement in your final mix. But beware of G.A.S.!! ;)
  17. I think it really boils down to your needs and workflow. For USB interfaces, I think the UX series offers good bang for your buck with the modeling. I also had good results with a Lexicon. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Omega
  18. Run the Monkey to install drivers and then run License manager. FYI... In the future, best to start a new thread rather than piggyback an answered one, you will get more responses from the community faster.
  19. Also, make sure you do a factory reset after. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/fx100/fx100-update-troubleshooting-r675
  20. Just to make sure you're not missing a step somewhere, check out this video.
  21. The POD HD500X Edit does not produce any sound. It is just an editor for the HD. You need to connect your monitoring solution directly to the HD.
  22. Were you able to try on another PC just to eliminate it being the Line6 devices?
  23. Is it possible the hissing is from the signal chain in Gearbox? POD Farm 1.12 has officially replaced Gearbox for the Toneports. POD Studios run POD Farm 2.5. You may be able to get Gearbox to run on it, but it is not supported. EDIT: I double checked the download page and it does show Gearbox works with POD Studio. But if you purchase a POD Studio, it does come with the plug-in version of POD Farm 2.5, you can no longer get Gearbox plug-in. If you are not familiar with the plug-in work flow, I think you will really like it.
  24. The red-faced units are the old Toneports and run POD Farm 1.12 standalone only, no plug-in (unless an upgrade was purchased). The black-face units are the newer POD Studio which come with POD Farm 2.5, standalone and plug-in. Also, the POD Studio UX2 comes with the FX Junkie pack free. Make sure you run the Line6 Monkey if you haven't already, and run the License manager. What software did you buy?
