You need to use the AMPLIFi Remote app on an iOS device. Once you modify a preset you can save it to the hardware.

+1 to Zap. But you can upgrade to POD Farm 2.5x free, it will still be tied to the UX though. Here's the standard, and as Zap mentioned, any model packs the you purchased will also work http://line6.com/store/item/187/ And here's Platinum (includes every model / effect) http://line6.com/store/item/188/

For chorus, try the Dimension in the post position. It has 4 switches, each one increases the effect a bit. I would try them one at a time to get a feel for them before turn on more than one.

One of optimal ways would be to run the UX's 2 analog outs to the Edirol's RCA ins. But the way you have it currently hooked up is just fine. The headphone out on the UX is hotter the the line level analog outs, so just be careful turning up the headphone level so you don't clip. The reason it did not sound as good when you tried one of the analog outs is because you only getting one side of the stereo output.

New to the UX1, need help
Triryche replied to mikek2111987's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
With the black-faced you should have POD Farm 2 license tied to it. One option is to just leave your speakers connected to the UX1. Eventually you may want to get a set of studio monitors, especially if you plan on doing a lot of recording. -
problem phones ux1

Are you saying the sound is different or not there at all? -

Triryche replied to mikek2111987's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Yeah, it can seem overwhelming at first if you are new to digital recording. Rest assured, you are not required to purchase any additional licenses, you may choose to in the future to add other model packs. Three main things to get you going. First off, do you have an older red-faced Toneport or a new black-faced POD Studio? This will determine if you should be using POD Farm 1.12 or POD Farm 2.5x, you do not need gearbox. Second, the interface becomes your computer's sound card, that is why you need to hook powered speakers directly to it, you can also just use headphones. An easy way to connect most common computer speakers to it is thru the UX2 headphone head phone out. You may need just a stereo 18" to 1/4" adapter. Third, you will need a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). A popular choice is Reaper, free to try for 30 days (technically it is free beyond that with a nag screen at start-up) but well worth the price IMHO. I think currently $60 US. Also, check out some of the videos in the Knowledge Base for setup. -
Thinkng of buying a Line 6 POD X3 (a defective X3 to be exact...)
Triryche replied to alex_paoloa's topic in POD X3
The cool thing about an X3 is you basically get a POD Farm 1.12 Platinum Plug-In License with it, which allows you to use all the models in your DAW as a plug-in as long as the X3 is recognized via USB (acts as a dongle). -
If you have access to one at a local music store, I would test drive it and hear it person. But depending on your other half, the fact that you can plug in your guitar too could be a pro or a con!!

Thinkng of buying a Line 6 POD X3 (a defective X3 to be exact...)
Triryche replied to alex_paoloa's topic in POD X3
(cross post, man I type slow!!) Depends on what they're asking and how much of a risk you want to take. Could be a s simple as a bad PSU. http://smile.amazon.com/Line-6-PX-2-Power-Supply/dp/B0002PZEGS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407158889&sr=8-1&keywords=line6+px2 Or it could be totally bricked and not worth repairing. The PSU is 9V AC A common mistake people make is using a 9V DC PSU when the original dies. Maybe if you could get your hands on a known working PSU if the correct specs you could see if it works, if it doesn't, IMHO you're better off getting an X3 that is in known working condition. -
I hear what you're saying. But I'd be willing to bet that if you surveyed how many musicians have an iOS vs Android device the ratio would be different compared to the entire market. Also there's this: http://opensignal.com/reports/fragmentation-2013/ Pure speculation here, but perhaps Line6 wanted to be first to market with this type of product, so they had to make some compromises. But I do hope they release an Android version soon.

You can try starting with the bass and treble all the down and the mid all the way up. If you amp has an effects loop (I don't think the jr does) you can run the main outs to the effects return.

Podfarm 2 Trial Problem with reason (7)
Triryche replied to friedrich_drei's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
The PODxt is acting as a dongle for the license for its models. As Zap suggests, you could try purchasing POD Farm, you have 30 days to return. What ever you do, do NOT get the iLok version for this purpose, it is not refundable. -
Can you reproduce the Reaper crash? Is there a certain thing you do in Reaper that causes the crash? I know if I disconnect my UX while Reaper is using it it may BSOD, I wonder if somethong elsa is tryting to grab control of that USB port. OR it may be a power management setting on your pc. I get the ASIO error when opening Reaper and I am using a different device. Just a long shot, but try saving your Reaper project before it crashes and see if you still get the error when opening. Of course that does not address the crashing.

The is no PODxt rack if that is what you are asking. It their the models and effects. -
I do not not know the exact technical limitations of the BT connection, but I would imagine streaming music takes up most of the bandwidth. As it stands right now, I think they have the only amp/effects unit that can stream music via BT. I can't speak for Line6, but perhaps they viewed the momentary interruption as a limitation vs a flaw. I do hope it is remedied in a future fw update. Regarding slowing down songs for learning, you could post a feature request (not sure if it is posted or not yet). http://line6.ideascale.com/ While you're there vote for these (shameless plug!!) http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/AMPLIFi-FX100-Assign-Pedal-to-Tweak-Function/626369-23508 http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/AMPLIFi-FX100-Heel-Toe-Paramters-for-Wah-s/629572-23508?submitted=1

If they did implement something like that, I could see limiting it to 4 banks. That way you would not have to navigate too far from any bank.

UX2 Overloading and Screeching
Triryche replied to Verdigo's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Have you tried a new USB cable? -
I was not implying that whatsoever. That is just my posting styling, knowing these threads can get bumped years later. You could submit a feature request on IdeaScale. http://line6.ideascale.com/ But I personally don't see a clean way to implements this. Without an iOS7 device or a floorboard, how would the AMPLIFi indicate the current bank?

Question about WIFI, Bluetooth and changing banks...
Triryche replied to archtopeddy's topic in AMPLIFi
You can change banks with the app without WiFi. It uses the Bluetooth connection and works fine without WiFi. -
Currently you can not change banks directly on the AMPLIFi.
