Likely a communication issue. Try deleting and reinstalling the app. Also forget the BT connection and reconnect. If you recently upgraded the firmware make sure to do a factory reset.

On some machines you may be able to use a USB audio interface while only controlling the PODX3 via USB.

Pod Farm 2 Amps distortion not working!
Triryche replied to Howard7x's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Is this an older "red-faced" Toneport or a newer "black-faced" POD Studio? If it is an older Toneport and you never paid for a PF2 upgrade it will not run properly. -
They can work with a powered hub, in conjunction with a computer, and on some machines it works properly with a hub vs the pc's ports. But I think the OP was wanting to use an mp3 player with just the UX2 and a powered hub and no pc.
-
Short answer: You can not use the UX2 without a computer. It is a USB Audio interface for your computer. The computer does all the processing.
-
I don't think it is THE reason, but I'm guessing it is part of it. The CRL sandbox is a lot bigger on a pc's os then an Andriod os.

No one knows what tomorrow knows. The manual states USB for future use. I sure as heck hope it will be a future fw update!! Or at least a flash utility.

FWIW, on the FX100's current fw, the pedalboard's display will not reflect a bank/preset change from the AMPLIFi Remote app. For example, if you are on 1A, you navigate to 23C via the app, the FX100 still displays 1A even though the current tone being processed is 23C. hit the B,C or D FS and the prest will be 1B, !C, 1D (respectively).

It's been pointed out more than once, but just for posterity. http://opensignal.com/reports/fragmentation-2013/ I imagine this is one of the reasons they developed the app for iOS first. I personally would rather see PC connectivity before an Android app.

You should be able to with an iOS7 device.

PodFarm dual tones & RedWirez IRs
Triryche replied to Studio162A's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Yes, just select "No Cabinet" for each signal path. -
It's likely because the Trankliink is not an ASIO device. Do you have the standalone license for PF2 or a Line6 interface? If you have just the standalone, you could try recording you guitar into Reaper without PF2 and then add the PF2 plug-in post processing.

Toneport UX2 and Pod Farm
Triryche replied to etaoinshrdlu's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Go to the downloads page. Under software there is POD Farm (right above POD Farm 2). (Support>>Downloads). But the best is to download the newest Monkey and have it install the drivers and POD Farm for you. It may let you install POD Farm 2, but you can skip that since you do not have the license. (It will run but in trial mode with limited amps/effects). After that you will need to run the License Manager. -
Not sure the UX2 comes with Ableton or Riffstation. Make sure you are selecting the Line6 ASIO drivers in your DAW. As or MIDI, at this point I wouldn't worry about it until you get more accustomed to recording, but long story short, you can not record a normal guitar via MIDI.

The setup is the same. But if you are connecting your speakers directly to the GuitarPort, there is no need to connect the Headphones to your Mac, unless I am understanding something.

I used a bookshelf stereo system for a couple years with satisfactory results while I saved up for monitors. IMHO, JBL's, M-Audio, and KRK active monitors are all very comparable at the lower price point range. I am personally partial to JBL's. There is nothing wrong with 5" monitors, but if it were me and I could stretch the budget, I would try to get into the 8" category.
-
First thing I would check is to make sure you are using the Line6 ASIO driver in Cubase. Also be aware that there are up to 4 channels available to Cubase from the UX. Then in PF2, check your record sends in the Mixer View. How do the waveforms look? It is possible for digitally clip going into your DAW but sound fine on the monitors.

Check the app for firmware updates. Settings>>Device Flash
-
Good question! I for one hope, at the bare minimum, it will be the ability to flash the fw, those BT flashes are brutal!! An editor for PC/Mac would be awesome too.
-
What would be cool is to have the ability to assign the FX to the pedal allowing you to change a setting on the fly. I submitted the idea to IdeaScale. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/AMPLIFi-FX100-Assign-Pedal-to-Tweak-Function/626369-23508

POD HD500X USB Buzz
Triryche replied to fellpeach's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Recording via USB with the 500 is your best option right now without you purchasing other gear. MIDI is a different story entirely, it contains no sound, just numerical information. -
Registering and Activating Pod Studio UX2
Triryche replied to Jazzguitar59's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Download the newest Monkey from Line6 to get the latest drivers and software. If you cannot register it and purchased it as new, I would contact Line6. -
I decent Hi-Fi will suffice, but studio monitors are a great investment, especially if you plan on having a home studio.
-
Yep, that's what I was getting at regarding adjusting settings and saving it to the hardware. To reassign the FX knob, tap and hold it in the app.

If you have an X3 Live you already have the plug-in version of POD Farm 1 with all the model packs when using the X3 as a dongle.
