    Big Sur

"Catalina" is and will be a "Windows 2000" for me until my next Mac purchase, sometime in 2 or 3 years or so. By the time I update Mac OS's again it may be "WAP Big Purrrr papa mowmow" lol...
  2. If you are going to spend the $$$ get the rack AND the controller. This way you arn't stepping all over the expensive part.... ; )
  3. The alternative in this is to just play a regular electric guitar tuned to "Open G" (or whatever you like). I may do that but I have already put the 11-52's on the Variax for slide. Gotta wear out a set of strings 1st!!! ; ) Thanks again guys
  4. Thanks guys I'll check it out at a louder volume then (and I will fix the OP), but it seemed so loud at the time I could have sworn "E" was being amplified thru the speakers with the "D".
  5. What the hell does that mean!!!! lol...
  6. This "interaction of strings in alternate tunings" has already been discussed ad-nauseum, but was wondering how any of you handled the little "E" ring sounds along with the "D" ring sound while open G tunings? I can put headphones on and the little "E" natural sounds go away while in Open-G tunings (it sounds normal I.E.- no E string with the D at the same time), but the interaction from both D & E is GOD AWFUL LOUD with no headphones on in open G tuning. And it's "mostly" just the Little E competing with the D! The other 5 strings are not near as bad as the little-E is. So this is not normal. Anyone else with these extremes on their Variax? So what's my workaround (other than to just wear the headphones while playing the Variax in alternate tunings)??? In other words, what is causing this, and what parts do I need to buy/get to fix it?
  7. Hi, I'm running an 8087 coprocessor with a 30 pound monochrome monitor using Dos 3.0 OS... It'll all be ok, right? ; )
  8. I would think that you really needed to be a "tube sniffer" in order to program all those "ones & zeros" to sound like the amp, no?
  9. I have to (and want to) sign into this place every time. It's expected AFAIK.
  10. Kudo's for the info and glad you fixed it! Now could you please add the word "Solved" to the OP topic header? Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving!
  11. Not to pick on "Joe-ritz" cause its not his fault that LOTS of others dont read either, but Line-6 could award a $20.00 bill to everyone who downloaded HX-Edit 1st without asking questions, and there would still be MILLIONS of Helix users without any $$$. sigh...
  12. I just know that Line-6 checked that OS before 3.0 release so what's the common denominator here?
  13. Yea, and I can see where not being as close as I am to Line-6 (versus where you are in Germoney ; )) could also be an issue sometimes too.
  14. Nice that there is an alternative, but..... Unless there is something wrong with the unit (or USB cable), why then would HX Edit fail if I followed the instructions? I had no issues (Mac with Catalina) on my "unbroken" Helix.
  15. Instructions? INSTRUCTIONS???? We don't need no stinking INSTRUCTIONS! ; )
  16. I've Been playing (not tweaking- PLAYING) for over 2 hours now and can state that Line-6 "knocked the Fender Princeton Outta the park" with this one!!!! Best Ive ever heard with that model, owning Helix, Kemper and having owned an Axe FX 2 XL+. I am More than Impressed with this tone! Add in some Time Machine or Volante and play till there is nothing but nubs left LOL!!!!
  17. Logged in just to see if anything was new this morning and was S H O C K E D! Thanks Line-6 ! I better get to downloading YIPPEE!!!!
  18. If I understand this correctly, when you pick up a guitar and play thru your "Pro-Tools" setup it sounds better using Native than using the "very-same" patch in HX-Stomp. And HX Stomp outs are going in a channel on a mixer as Native is, set the same, yet they sound very different. Is all this correct so far?
  19. It Wasn't the WAP lollipop cat was it? ; )
