  1. Try the Studio Tube Pre model in the Preamp -> Mic section. There’s also the Tube Drive model in Distorion -> Legacy. Those are the first ones that come to my mind.
  2. Yes. In HX Edit drag/drop a preset vertically in the preset list. See HX Edit v3.70 manual pg 14.
  3. The diagram can hide the important part you need to understand, which is the signal path. Trace the sequence of cables that the signal follows as a mental exercise and then make sure the cables correspond. The signal travels like this: guitar -> POD Go input -> POD Go Send -> Amp guitar input-> amp Send -> POD Go Return -> POD Go output -> amp return and finally the amp speaker. In your case you have external pedals in the amp FX Loop. That’s fine. Just make sure the final output of those pedals is connected to the POD Go Return.
  4. Your understanding is correct which suggests your cabling is incorrect. Check it against the diagram in the manual.
  5. The device itself doesn’t tell you that; it only shows you that you’re reaching the limit by greying out blocks that can no longer be added to the preset. But you can perform manual calculations by using one of the several tables that users have created that shows the DSP requirements for individual blocks. Here’s what I believe is the original and most popular one; https://benvesco.com/store/helix-dsp-allocations/
  6. Is it possible that your DAW is not passing the keystrokes to the Helix Native plug-in? That happened to me once when I was unable to sign in using Cakewalk. I had to change a DAW setting to pass the keystrokes through, and voila….
  7. Again, no harm in sticking with what you like. But I think you're right to not give up on Helix Native. Also, HN is capable of delivering better tones than Pod Farm. I think you are doing yourself a disservice by trying to just get the same tone. Play and fiddle around, especially with the cab/mic setups. They are extremely versatile and can dramatically change the tone. Try applying some lo- and hi-cuts at around 80Hz and 8KHz respectively. If you haven't done so already explore the factory presets and download some presets from Customtone. There are also very high quality presets available for purchase from Marketplace. Perhaps there are some free samples there you could explore.
  8. I assume your POD Go is set to receive MIDI clock info? See Global Settings.
  9. Also the Looper is a great tool for auditioning. Place the looper block at the front of the signal chain and record a sample loop such as a chord progression. Then put your guitar down and play back the loop. Use your hands or feet to tweak the tone as desired and listen to the tone change instantly without interruption.
  10. Yes, POD Farm has more eye candy. But imho you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t compare the sound quality. On the other hand you may need to invest some time to get a good sound. Don’t just duplicate the POD Farm amp/cab and FX and their settings and hope to get the same or better sound. If you’re happy with POD Farm and aren’t willing to invest some time to get an improved sound then don’t bother with Helix Native.
  11. You could use snapshots and assign a different IR to each snapshot. That will limit you to 8 or fewer at a time depending on your Helix device. For switching convenience set Global Settings to have all 8 snapshots available at once with your footswitches.
  12. No, the sound is much better in Helix Native in the opinion of most experienced L6 modeler users. It’s two generations of modeling technology ahead of POD Farm. And it is addictive if you don’t have a Helix device and so haven’t heard it before. There’s a free trial period.
  13. First make a system backup of your Helix Rack using HX Edit. Then download the v3.70 firmware manually. Run Line 6 Updater and choose Install from File. Select the downloaded firmware file. After installation refer to the v3.70 Release Notes and complete the procedures from the firmware installation point.

  15. I don’t know how it could happen but to get it back I would perform a factory reset on your POD Go. But first backup anything you will want to restore. If that doesn’t work reinstall the firmware.
  16. Open a support ticket to deal directly with Line 6 Technical Support.
  17. Have you followed procedures in this link from the list I provided earlier? If so, at what step in the procedure do things not work as expected?
  18. Not sure exactly what you mean by ‘working’ so here is a list of specific topics from the FAQs….. https://line6.com/support/page/kb/recording/pod-farm/
  19. Contact Line 6 Support (see link at top of this page).
  20. I stand corrected. Thanks voxmann55. I wasn’t aware of that. Apologies for providing incorrect information. I hope it ultimately did/does not cause harm to anyone’s equipment.
  21. Yets, there is confusion. I am confused about what you are asking, since you didn’t actually ask a question or at least it isn’t clear. A TRS cable is typically for stereo signals, but you only mention one speaker. And I don’t believe there’s any difference between a speaker cable and an instrument cable. A cable is a cable. The type of shielding and the end jacks matter, but neither makes one cable a speaker cable and another an instrument cable. Please clarify your question.

    Helix & hxfx

Sure. There are several ways to do it. The simplest would be to use the HX FX in front of the Helix (guitar -> HX FX -> Helix). Use the HX FX for any FX that you want to run pre-amp and use the Helix for amp, cab and any post-amp FX. You could experiment with other setups.
