Which Pitch Shift model are you using? Most models include a Mix parameter which lets you set how much of each note (original/shifted) you want to hear. Hearing both is very common, especially for harmonies in guitar solos. Sounds like two players. But if you want to turn standard tuning into a bass guitar you set the Mix so that you only hear the shifted note (100%).

Open a support ticket if you haven’t already done so. This sounds like a known problem and Line 6 will probably repair your device at no cost to you.
-
Yes, it’s possible. Use the Command Center as described in the HX Stomp manual, pg 47. This allows you to select any Snapshot using a footswitch in Stomp mode.
-
The parameter that has the most affect on the reverb trails is Decay. Try setting it to a higher value. Other parameters to experiment with are Predelay and Mix. For Delay FX experiment with Feedback and Mix.

Only one so far? EVERY electronic device that has received past upgrades will eventually receive no further upgrades. You’re right that the POD Go will someday see its final upgrade. But that day is not today. The same is true of any brand new product you choose to buy instead.

Is there something unique or specific that you want to do with the ‘jailbreak’ patch that you can’t do now? Pls provide details.
-
Glad to help. Hope you enjoy the expanded opportunities you now have discovered in preset design.
-
Just deactivate (turn off) the blocks that you don’t want. You can’t add or delete the FX Loop block; there is one and only one in every preset. Turn it on/off as desired.
-
Also check your power management settings. It’s possible that your settings are causing the USB port to be disabled after some time for power conservation.

Huh? I quoted, cut and paste, directly from the manual. How is it clear here but not there? I tend to promote reading manuals, not to be chiding people but because I find it disappointing that users waste a lot of time here posting questions and awaiting responses when the manual answers the question. In your case you posted your question Wednesday. Here it is Saturday morning and you could have answered the question yourself without even posting the question here. Disappointing, no?

Cannot use the wireless transmitter with recessed input jack
silverhead replied to HappySpaceInvdr's topic in POD Go
Well, I suppose you could create a custom extension that has a 1/4” male plug permanently connected in the recess and a housing with a 1/4” female jack screwed into the guitar body so that it is flush to the surface. Seems like overkill to me. Essentially you would put a bracket on the end of one of the above-pictured adapters and fasten it to the guitar body. -

What’s wrong with a very short guitar extension cable? A simple 1/4” adapter/extender would probably work. Perhaps a 90 degree adapter? It’s almost certainly the simplest solution. -
Using the Helix Control Floor for midi and plugins on computer or iPad

On the contrary, I think the manual answers your question. It says: “Using Smart FX The SPIDER V 20 amplifier includes a built-in Reverb effect as well at 3 assignable Smart FX per preset. The assignable Smart FX types are Dynamics (yellow), Drives (orange), Modulation (blue), Delay (green), and Filter/Pitch/Synth (purple). There are multiple models to choose from for each effect type. You can utilize the Spider V Remote app to change the effect type or model. 1. Press the FX Buttons 1-3 to turn each effect on or off. When illuminated brightly, the effect is on (enabled). When an effect is off (bypassed), it is lit dimly. 2. The FX Knob controls how much of the effects are being applied.…….” I highlighted the bold text above which I think is the key that you are missing. If you want to know how to get and use the Spider V Remote app….. guess where you should look for that info? Yup… the manual.

Have you tested your guitar and cable with another device/amp? Have you tried using the Variax 1/4” (not VDI) output?

Yes. Some time ago a wrote a detailed description of how to do this using Helix Rack and Cakewalk by Bandlab. I will try to find it and post a link for you….. -
Newbie Having Trouble With Software Setup
silverhead replied to UKUNUTS1967's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
What exactly have you been trying to work out? Please describe in detail the equipment you are using and what the issue is. -
Check Global Settings -> Footswitches. Use Knob 2 to select Stomp/Preset for the switch display.
-
Have you tested/checked the cable & connection?
-
Which model of Spider amp do you have? Many devices restrict the number of FX and types in any given preset. Consult the manual for your device to determine its restrictions.
-
Please describe exactly how your cabling is connected, from guitar to speaker/cab/monitor. Even with correct cabling your Helix preset needs to be properly configured. To use only the Helix FX (no amp/cab modeling) your preset needs to include an active FX Loop block (or individual Send/Return blocks) in addition to no amp/cab blocks.

Casino - get back sound
silverhead replied to mozart999uk's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Not sure that will tell you much unless it’s a dry recording. Any sort of processing on the guitar signal will make your determination of ‘better’ meaningless. What might be better is to somehow obtain a pre-HD version of the Variax Workbench factory bundle and temporarily load the Casino models for your own comparison. -
You can probably use Workbench HD to fix it. Or, if you’re using a Helix or compatible POD HD device there may be an alternate tuning stored in the preset. Also, remember that all these alternate tunings are user definable. You could simply overwrite the offending ones with new ones to your liking.
