  1. The simplest way to clear the 6-switch looper is to record a new very brief loop of silence. I can’t really see an advantage though. If you don’t want to use a recorded loop then simply don’t use it. If you want to record a new loop then do so, erasing the current one. What’s the benefit of having a silent loop?
  2. Sorry for the basic question, but you don’t mention it…. Is the Volume knob (top panel) set at or nearly at its max level?
  3. Open a support ticket. Line 6 tech support staff will help you get it authorized.
  4. Try uninstalling HX Edit and then reinstall.
  5. For the HX Stomp, press and hold FS2 and FS3 while powering up to reset the device to factory settings, including factory presets.
  6. I would open a support ticket.
  7. The full MIDI capabilities of the HX One are described in the manual. Specifically it states this: HX One does not transmit MIDI for any of its own actions, but will pass incoming MIDI control and MIDI Clock out via its MIDI OUT/THRU and USB MIDI ports. There is no Command Center, or any other capability to send MIDI on its own.
  8. Thanks for sharing. You’ve obviously put a lot of time and effort into this. Are you aware of this site? https://helixhelp.com
  9. Most PA systems have multiple Monitor Send paths. Perhaps you could arrange for your own on stage PA monitor (not a guitar amp) to carry only your guitar signal from the PA? This would include your POD Go cab block as well as any stereo FX appearing after it. Disregard your POD Go Amp Out and use only the main Outs to the PA, requiring a stereo PA channel (or two mono channels) for your L and R outputs.
  10. Why not just get your POD Go fixed? Open a support ticket. It will be repaired at no cost under lifetime warranty for this issue.
  11. The screen shot you provided is accurate. The firmware update should not be installed until after the Edit program is updated. After updating the Edit program run it again. The firmware update should then be available for installation.
  12. Good question. If there is a way I’m not aware of it. @datacommando described the method to remove all modified User Default models and restore to factory defaults but that won’t identity the ones that you have modified among your current models.
  13. Thanks for the reply Tony. Interesting that Line 6 Monkey sees the JTV through the Helix VDI. I haven’t tried actually performing a JTV update that way, though.
  14. A cumbersome option would be to bring a laptop with HX Edit installed. That offers almost immediate access to all presets.
  15. Not likely to happen. The Line 6 looper is not designed to compete with stand-alone looper devices that are designed to support live playing. It is designed primarily as a practice and tone-shaping tool. It can be used for live play but most people who do so quickly realize it’s shortcomings in that regard (like you did) and purchase a more sophisticated stand-alone looper pedal. The built in Looper in Helix devices supports practicing solos (placed at the end of the signal chain and recording a chord progression to solo with) and tone shaping (placed at the beginning of the signal chain and tweaking the preset settings hands free while the recorded loop is playing).
  16. You can also use the HX Edit Restore from Backup feature to select only the IRs to be restored. This uses the backup file that was created by HX Edit during the firmware update process. It automatically restores all IRs that were present in your device at the time of the backup without having to drag/drop them.
  17. Thanks for clarifying. So the request for signup is a ChatGPT request, not imposed by your ‘helper’? And if you use ChatGPT Plus the request is not made? It’s an interesting tool and useful for some. Thanks for providing it.
  18. The v3.70:firmware update (as all are with Helix) is comprehensive. No need to install any earlier updates first. Just download the HX Edit v3.70 package and install all components. Then run HX Edit with your Helix device connected via USB. Read the Release Notes for detailed installation instructions and follow them carefully.
  19. This mystifies me. The guitar is exactly the same now as it was before its end-of-life was announced. There hasn’t been a firmware update for JTV since 2014 and it has performed exactly the same since then. Why do you suddenly feel, after 9 years, that it sucks but you are stuck with it? Did it suddenly stop working with the EOL announcement?
  20. Try this: https://line6.com/support/page/kb/effects-controllers/helix/helixhx-update-recovery-instructions-r1042/
  21. I would restart my computer to reset the USB ports if nothing else. Perhaps the ‘bit of difficulty’ you had left your computer a little confused.
  22. The v3.7 setlists are attached. FACTORY 1.hls FACTORY 2.hls TEMPLATES.hls
  23. Yes, I plan to open a support ticket. Was just looking for confirmation that the problem is not unique to my PC system. Thanks.
  24. The new Line 6 Central utility states that it is compatible with the JTV series. However, when I have my JTV-59 connected via VDI to my Helix Rack Line 6 Central shows only the Helix as a connected device. It does not recognize the JTV. Line 6 Monkey does recognize the JTV, even though it does not recognize the Helix Rack (no surprise there). Can anyone confirm?
  25. Have you tried increasing the Bias level in the amp block, and/or decreasing the Hi cut level in the cab block? It may be as you say that it is just part of the original amp being modeled. There’s a well known phenomenon called crossover distortion that happens in the ‘real’ world of amps. It’s often referred to as ‘fizz’ and there are many threads here that discuss how to remove it, but sometimes it just can’t be removed.
