  1. The same question has been asked and answered with respect to the Helix devices. Helix Native is no different. Search the Helix forums for associated topics. In general your main controls, without affecting tone, are the amp’s channel volume and the Output level. There is also a Gain FX block that can provide a clean level boost. Same with an EQ block with neutral settings except for the Level. Input level and the amp Drive level will affect the tone, but sometimes the Input level can be used without causing much effect. Depends on the amp. Of course the guitar itself can affect levels; hi-gain pickups will be louder than standard. You need to manually change levels one preset at a time; there is no automatic way to do this. Start with the cleaner tones. Adjust the above parameters and compare/balance levels among all of those. Then move on to your crunchy and then hi-gain tones. Use your ears as your guide. Some people prefer to use level measuring tools that can provide numbers for comparison. It’s a tedious but worthwhile exercise.
  2. Hope you get it working. The good news is - you can’t make it any worse!
  3. Yes. You bought a device you were warned is not working. And it's not working. From what you've said the problem is almost certainly a hardware problem. It needs to be repaired at an authorized Line 6 service center.
  4. I don’t have an Amplifi device but I do have a Firehawk FX. I believe the Firehawk remote app is based on the same technology as the Amplifi app. As of 2 minutes ago I am able to successfully search tones on the cloud using the Firehawk remote app on my iPad. I see 30 tone matches for Metallica. I don’t know why you are unable to. It’s probably something to do with your specific environment (mobile device, internet connection, app installation, Bluetooth connection and stability, …).
  5. First, perform a factory reset by pressing footswitches 2 and 3 while powering on the HX Stomp. This will restore the factory presets. It will also wipe out all current presets so back up anything you want to keep. Then run the HX Edit program to see if you have the latest firmware. If not you can update by following the prompts and instructions.
  6. Is your Scarlett connected by USB or audio cable to your IiMac? Use the USB connection if possible and record the Dry guitar signal directly (your Scarlett should provide that option).
  7. Have you opened the support ticket as suggested? There’s really no further point in bumping this every other day, although your persistence is entertaining.
  8. My comments refer to subsections of your post. Presets: Good that cabs are always off. You could experiment with using full amp rather than preamp but using the preamp should be fine.Personally I would put the delay after the FX Loop but that’s just a matter of preference. 2CM: Yes, turn off the amp and FX Loop. 4CM: it might help your thinking to list the 4 cables in the order of the signal flow from your guitar, like this: 1. Cable connecting guitar output to POD Go Input 2. Cable connecting the POD Go FX Send to the physical amp guitar input. 3. Cable connecting the physical amp Send to the POD Go Return 4. Cable connecting the POD Go Main output to the physical amp Return. Think about the signal flowing from guitar to speakers in that order. Note that when the POD Go FX Loop is off there is no signal passed through cable #2 and hence not through #3. That means you physical amp’s preamp section is bypassed; hence you want to use a POD Go amp/preamp that then passes through cable #4 to your physical cab. Make sure your footswitch that turns on/off the FX Loop and POD GO amp/preamp is set so that at all times one of these two is on while the other is off. Review the above signal flow to persuade yourself of the importance of this setup. Global Settings are correct. Observations: 2CM sound is good,. And you’re right - many people use the HX FX a rather than thenPOD Go if they never want to use POD Go amp modeling. Volume difference is because the levels of your amps are different (POD Go preamp vs. physical amp). You can make them the same level by adjusting on or the other amp. Just to clarify - do you mean the volume becomes really loud when you turn ON (not OFF) the FX Loop? This makes sense because suddenly you are using both amps at once. I suspect it not only gets really loud, it also sounds bad. Again, perhaps you just prefer not to use amp modelling. Nothing wrong with that - except you purchased an amp modeler. Questions: Yes all settings are correct as long as your footswitch is set to properly turn on/off the state of the POD Go FX Loop and amp/preamp. Only one of them is on at a time. There is no way to easily switch from 2CM to 4CM without having to adjust presets. Your final two questions have the same answer: No. The POD Go is primarily an amp modeler, and you can’t just turn that off by default. This gets back to what I’ve mentioned several time: you may just not want to use an amp modeler. If you can’t or don’t want to get used to it sell the POD Go and get an FX a only device like the HX FX.
  9. I don’t think the audio interface is your problem. The Scarlett is reasonably good quality and many people use it without a similar issue. Are you recording a dry guitar signal on which Helix Native operates? If so please describe your setup and connections. Often the problem ends up being the level of the dry input signal to Helix Native. Try adjusting it using the Input slider in the Helix Native window/preset.
  10. No, not within the firmware. You could construct some sort of physical block that would prevent your foot from reaching the switch.
  11. Yes it’s fine to just import the setlist.
  12. You say you have the desired notes assigned to the individual Stomp switches in Command Center. Are you saying this assignment is not working? When you press the individual footswitches are the specified MIDI note commends not being sent to your external keyboard? Or are you looking to do something else? Perhaps I don’t understand what you mean by ‘toggling through’.
  13. Or you could set the Global Snapshot Edits parameter to Recall. This will allow you to make changes to any parameter in any snapshot and retain the changes while you switch among the various snapshots. You will only need to SAVE the preset once, after all changes are complete.
  14. Occasionally, but probably not when the topic involves a 25 year old product.
  15. I also find it surprising and haven’t noticed it with my Helix Rack. Seems like this would be shared code among the Helix devices but perhaps not. I’m wondering if it’s a settings thing with the Volume or other pedal assignment, or even a Vol knob setting with a Variax. Sometimes settings are such that the physical position of the pedal or knob when switching presets (or copy/pasting them?) matters, or not as the case may be. I can see some settings causing unexpected behaviours. Of course it may indeed be an actual bug. I don’t see any mention in this thread of anyone opening a support ticket to get a response from Line 6. Perhaps someone experiencing the problem should do that and report back?
  16. Please provide more detail about what exactly isn’t working. Explain the exact sequence of events you are performing and what unexpected result is happening. From your description I can’t tell if a specific footswitch is not working at all or just not behaving as expected. Also describe what you mean by ‘factory footswitch’. A footswitch is a footswitch; nothing ‘factory’ about the switch itself. Footswitches are assignable in any preset - factory or user. A footswitch assigned in a factory preset doesn’t make it a factory footswitch.
  17. If you have a brand new unit and nothing on it that you want restored you don’t need to perform the restoration step. Although it may not technically be required, I would perform the recommended factory reset because that’s how the newest factory presets get installed on your device.
  18. Make sure HX Edit is not running when you run Updater. I believe Updater can’t connect to the Helix because HX Edit is already connected, and for some reason that matters.
  19. That’s because Line 6 Edit is not the editor program for POD HD. There is a PODxxx Edit program for each corresponding POD HD device. For instance, if you are using a POD HD500X device, look for the POD HD500X Edit program.
  20. I’ve done a quick search of the usual places it might be and I can’t find it. It may have been just a printed chart that came in the box. Perhaps someone else can help.
  21. I know they are Jumbo frets. I don’t know if there’s an industry standard reference for that term. EDIT: actually the FAQ says this about the JTV59: “22 medium-jumbo frets and dot inlays”. https://www.fender.com/articles/instruments/different-fret-sizes-explained Personally I found the factory frets too high. I’m not a light touch player; I press the strings down to the fretboard and with the Jumbo frets this would detune the string. First thing I did was swap out the frets.
  22. Did you not see my reply the first time you posted this exact question earlier today?
  23. Define ‘work with’. What exactly do you want to do with them? The Helix provides audio out, and the DT50 accepts audio in, so - yes they will work together. But I suspect you mean more than just ‘Can I connect them together’.
  24. Make sure the level setting for the Helix outputs (Line, Instrument…) match the expected level of your monitor inputs.
