  1. Nothing personal my man, just saying everyone would prefer you buy their own stuff. Rock On!
  2. Quote: "Hardware Independence now allows POD Farm 2.5 to be used with any USB audio interface. We recommend POD Studioâ„¢ interfaces" L6 has to feed their developers too. :)
  3. I don't know my man. AFAIK there is no editing aside from the front panel for the MKIs. Here is an old thread on it.: http://line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/58181/
  4. I can't say what exactly is wrong but these threads may help: http://line6.com/support/topic/2712-floorboard-wah-volume-pedal-broken/ http://line6.com/supportarchive/thread/30086/
  5. You are going to have to shoot L6 a Support Ticket and see what they say. 9/10 8 black bars = trip to the service center.

    Worst amp ever?

You cannot dial in an modeling amp at low volume and expect it to sound the same at high volume. L6 has traditionally put a neutral voice speaker in their amps but if you have the time read through the Flextone and Spidervalve L6 Amp forum sections and see what has worked for others. The choices made there might help in your research. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fletcher%E2%80%93Munson_curves
  7. Hahahaa!!! One would think we could throw some equations at it to optimize the angle of deflection while we are at it. Seriously though, if the OP has not a clue in regards to "guitar setup", a spanking new JTV would not be a recommended ship to take on that Maiden Voyage more so if there is a warranty to be voided. There must be a beater axe laying around to experiment on unless this is his first and only guitar. We all took baby steps at one time.
  8. Just tried and the drivers DL started. I would try again as they are there.
  9. I used to set the RGs to have a fairly low action but as I got more experience at it I found out even going from an ac cooled house to a humid outdoor gig would throw it off (or even house to house). Cold car ride to gig = bring it in and let the temp adjust. Rule of thumb for acoustics was truss rod adjustments at the time change date. A shipper cannot be expected to do a dead nutz setup unless he is down the street from the dude receiving it (even then personal preference is a huge factor). Floating bridges (ala Floyd) can be quite interesting for a set-up after that most others are cake. Hence its within spec. ;)
  10. The word is "tolerance" as in "the spec is within tolerance". That phrase is always a welcome one. :)
  11. I hear you my man but it is what it is - basic HD programming can be quite "interesting" depending on the level of understanding one has on the system. Real world experience helps greatly especially when eqing out the woof and fizz but too much can narrow the band too much and a wah type filter (narrow mid creeps in). There are some really great HD guys here and you should list your rig and HD settings if you are to properly get some direction. BTW for Rock tones I like the Park amp models. :)
  12. http://www.foobazaar.com/podhd/toneGuide/ampTone That would be the place to start.
  13. Hmmm external exp pedal, loosen the pivot bolt and reverse the 0-100 settings?
  14. You need to contact L6 directly and have them fix it on their end. Chances are they will not see your post here.
  15. That is the floorboard for the Flex II. Serial number aside (which as stated is pretty pointless) does it work with Your Flex II? Y/N No? Try a different cable, check for bent pins in the ports (amp's port too). Any sign of life? Y/N Yes? What? No? Open it up and check any ribbon cable seatings. Try again. You can always buy another one used or try to use a regular midi controller.
  16. The Rocktron Velocity is a great power amp - I used to use an old 120 all the time. However, first try going into the HD147's FX return instead of the 4cm. The HD147 is a beast on its own and so is the HD but combined ala 4cm does not = more greatness. :)
  17. I'm using a Tech21 PE60 myself but these FRFRs sounded pretty good there are some links in the thread. http://line6.com/support/topic/25150-pod-hd500-sharing-patches/ CC has a point CT is a crap-shoot. :D
  18. Triryche pointed you at the right page. There are oodles of controllers but for a Flex3 I would suggest a FBV Shortboard MKI or MKII - find one used if you can. Those will help you get the most out of the Flexy. :)
  19. DunedinDragon laid things out pretty well here. Going FRFR is different then a guitar cab and you will have to use some filtering/eqs to shape the tone (which a cab would normally do). http://line6.com/support/topic/17000-notes-and-lessons-learned-on-frfr-patches/
  20. Set the Output Mode to Studio Direct and if you are not familiar with the HD start with simple patch builds (just an amp/cab) as learn the system. The factory patches are fairly so-so.
  21. If your new saved settings are still there when you restart the amp then the battery is good. At this point I don't know why your presets are not there unless they are saved in another bank then the one you are in.
  22. When you edit a patch and save it is the edited patch still there when the amp is shut off and then turned back on? It may be that the internal battery has expired.
  23. Headphones are fine and yes Studio Direct is the way to go.
  24. Yes with the exception that you can't use the fbv floorboards.
