theKennyG
Good grief! All of the hipster guitarists must be crying over their (insert your favorite boutique jazz master/offset guitar brand here...)!!
Joepeggio
Install the optional Helix chimney. Use butane to model the tea light candle.
cruisinon2
Marvelous. Because the world would be a better place if guitarists were all arguing over which brand of tea light and wick length produces the best tone. Don't miss their "Flints-Tone" line of pedal-driven rotary speakers.... Ugh.

allennobles
Modeling a light bulb is so yesterday... Can you model a flame?
spikey
Yesterday's tones are often copied and seldom achieved , for good reason. ;) Love the above vibrophase!
HonestOpinion
This thing is awesome! Talk about post-modern retro. Can I get a candle/solar powered distortion and phaser too? :D

hideout
I think it's an interesting "Proof of concept" type device and all it's gonna take is some famous artist using it on a recording and... Boom. Lots of people will want one or at least want to try one. It's a different effect but it makes me think of those old oil can echo units. It's unusual things like this that make the creative process more interesting - especially when you've run out of ideas in the recording studio. It' probably has to be used in the dark and that never hurts the creative process. Oh and Kudos to ZVex for being willing to explore different ideas. I could see this effect being put to good use on a Fender Rhodes, a Clavinet, a Synth pad or even a B3

Just because something is one-of-a-kind, doesn't automatically make it noteworthy or useful. Sometimes weird is just that, weird. And how about the practicality of this device? Open flames in my studio? Thank you, but no. And who in their right mind would drag this thing to a gig? It's got "Oops..." written all over it. But what do I know, if they partner with the "Pet Rock" guy, maybe they'll sell millions... 1
robbieb61
I thought this was a joke or something. But it isn't! It's a real company that makes boutique effects. Wow: http://www.zvex.com/
phowell
Would look great next to one of those movie projector amps from the Tim Pierce and Pete Thorn show on YouTube1 (worth watching if you haven't seen it - I think it was in episode 1)
