It may not apply to you, however, just a thought since I do not know your Wi-Fi environment nor if you are using a proxy or software VPN on your PC as well: I am using the Bitdefender version and split tunneling. In addition, as another retired IT guy, I have a ticket in due to the TOTP code 330 error. This is either TFA or a clock issue so I am awaiting Line 6 support to help decide the proper solution. just plain dennis

I’ll have to take a look at my router(Synology RT6600ax). Per your post, my initial connection and update went without issue. It’s when I tried to use the editor via WiFi. agbiggs
Having a similar problem, in that the Helix desktop app (Windows) has trouble finding the wifi connection for Stadium. The desktop app HAS connected to Stadium earlier this day, but now it's disconnected and can't seem to find Stadium again. Frustrating, since this means I can't use the desktop app. I'd rather just use a wired connection, but it doesn't seem to work that way. silverhead
When I get disconnected I do the following things that often work: 1) When disconnected I usually see a screen that has two connection options: AutoConnect and Connect. I select Connect and then on the next page I hover my mouse over the WAN/LAN network icon with the words Helix Stadium. A connect button appears to the right of it. I select that. 2) If that repeatedly fails I restart the Helix Stadium app. If this is happening frequently open a support ticket. I too would like to see a tethered USB-C option. AZGuitar
Same problem here, I opened a ticket. It’s possible my WiFi strength “on the floor” across the house from my ORBI might be weak causing the issue? It would be awesome if they can enable the USB for the connection. That said, played my first set this morning with my Stadium, tones were awesome! People need to understand this is only v1.1. I look at my OG which was also a launch purchase and remember how the updates evolved. Stadium will be the same. Ie the save button does not always light, say after you make a bpm change. They’ll get it fixed, just remember to hit save if you make a change regardless for now.
bverdon
I just received my Stadium XL yesterday and I was able to stay connected for 4 hours.... no disconnects from the edit software (Windows). I have an eero mesh Wi-Fi (currently connected to the main AP) and my AP is in another room, about 15 feet away. I am connected at 5Ghz speeds on both the PC and the stadium. So... for me very stable. I would suggest that if you are having issues, try to get both devices on the same speed but if your AP is very far away, try to get both devices on the 2.4Ghz channel. This may not be a bug for Line6 to address. 1
rwandering
I had frequent disconnects with one old laptop, rock solid on more modern machines. I'm hoping though that this gets better though, because that laptop is my goto for on the fly configuration.
TomPettersen
Same problem here. This is very frustrating. I have the latest Stadium XL firmware. The editor connects occasionally, but closes after maybe 10 seconds. Most times it will not connect at all. I even tried to input the Stadium XL IP adress, same issue. I'm on a Mac M2 Studio Max (Sonoma 14.6.1.) and a very fast and stable wifi home network.

So far I have not experienced this issue. However, I will monitor it. I am using an older Wi-Fi router attached to my ISP's device with the ISP device Wi-Fi disabled. I also have various security features enabled for an extra layer of protection. I've had the Stadium in my office within a few feet of the Wi-Fi and in my music room 30 feet plus or minus away. If I do eventually have any drops I will report back. Otherwise I will stay silent on this thread. jpd
AZGuitar
Installed an ORBI booster and have a better signal, connected right away. Will report back in a few hours. it’s on my desk now, if it stays connected, I’ll move the unit to the floor.
jpdennis
I didn't think to ask ... Mac users will have to chime in for that OS, however, I know that Windoze (not a misspelling this time) likes to "control" power settings for many devices, USB, network etc. For my wired and wireless device properties I always make sure I DO NOT allow the computer to turn off the device to save power. Here is an example for my wi-fi device but the same is true for the wired network device. Just in case this helps for those not aware of this setting. For those aware of this setting please forgive me. jpd
AZGuitar
Stayed connected, good so far. Moved it back to the floor. Will update you again in a few hours.
AZGuitar
Stadium’s been on the floor for several hours now. No app drops, even after my pc went to sleep for a bit I was still connected. All saved changes to parameters via snaps worked perfectly. FWIW, I never had a drop in audio. The output Matrix is awesome. I gigged with it last Sunday, sounded better than OG and had no issues. I did notice I had a stronger network connection on Stadium. I would suggest the drop at least in my case was a weak signal at that spot prior to adding the relay box. Hope this helps.
brydo
I've also had chronic disconnection issues. The software disconnects and is unable to locate the Helix, even if I close and reopen the software. My initial problems were with a new Windows 11 PC on a wired connection and the Helix on WiFi. But I've noticed the PC also disconnects when connected to WiFi and not hardwired. Rebooting either the Helix or the PC seems to temporarily resolve the issue. I also have a Macbook that's a few years old, which only disconnects when the laptop is left unattended and goes into power saving mode. I am able to easily reconnect manually after the computer wakes. I've wired most of my house with ethernet cable and I also have a dual band router with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The Mac's connection to the Helix is solid when on either WiFi frequency or even with WiFi turned off and connected to my network via cable. The connection is stable regardless of which of the two WiFi channels the Helix is connected to. My plan for the week is to test every combination of computer, computer LAN connection method, and Helix WiFi channel for an hour or two each to see which variables affect disconnection the most. The machines, Helix and WiFi router are all in the same room, so signal strength is almost certainly not an issue.
MojoAxe
Mine periodically disconnects. My WiFi signal is strong, so it must be a bug.
