Igor Stolarsky (the guy who‘s written a lot of the code for the Helix at Line 6) put this video upon his YouTube channel last night... It’s full of useful information, not just about guitar tones, but making music in general.

Simplest and most practical and logical would be between your guitar and the PGO; guitar -> volume pedal -> PGO -> etc.

Hi datacommando, so what do you think about it? is it an hardware issue? It is easy to get an input failure and i'm alone sure.. but i don't think that a input damaged can really cost 217 euro to change a full I/O board? There is a buffer and sure the unit have 2 years and some months .. isn't a really old unit even if not guarantee.. i will like to know what about think the line6 support. Have a good time!

Or just place a gain block in front of everything, and drop 3 or 4dBs when using the Les Paul, maybe more for super hot humbuckers. Works good for clean tones, and you dont need to create a dedicated preset. Second option, just roll down the LP volume pot a bit.... :P
