  1. I was trying the experiment with the snapshot features, and had an awful time getting back to the “old way”. Honestly, I was in a panic, as I have a lot of gigs coming up. Can the two modes (standard mode and snapshot mode) coexist on a single helix?

  2. thank you guys, yeah she is up and running

  3. So I'm not totally clear what you are asking. I think you are asking if both Snapshots and "Stomps" can appear at the same time. The answer is yes. You can assign any of the footswitches to practically anything in "Stomp" mode. See page 58 of the manual to see how to assign them to a Snapshots. Assigning them to FX is still done the same way as far as I know. If you wan this on the main screen, there are several different modes that those footswitches can have. See page 66 in the Helix manual under Global Settings > Footswitches #2.

  6. You can be as dramatic as you want with the EQ's so something is either wrong in your setup, or wrong with the stomp. There is no "right/mono" on a Stomp. Why wouldn't you come out of LEFT/MONO? Coming out of the right alone may (or may not) be part of the problem. To be honest you are still not giving us nearly enough to help you. What EQ(s) are you trying? What is the rest of your chain? How are you connected to your computer? How are you getting the signal into cubase? How are you analyzing the signal in cubase? Can you share the preset with us? etc.... etc.... etc.... etc....

  9. If you have set your Stomp to receive MIDI clock signal from an external device, then I would expect it to ignore any other tap input. Imagine the chaos that could happen if the Stomp is slaved to an external clock, but the you accidentally hit the onboard Tap switch. This explains MIDI sync. https://www.sweetwater.com/insync/how-to-sync-midi-devices/ Hope this helps/makes sense.

  11. Thank you! I will check it out. The reamping is working like a dream, and the clarification above is very useful.

  12. No idea if this is possible, but here goes: 1. Profiling - handy thing to be able to do if I want to include some of my analog fx not currently in the helix (or amps for that matter) 2. Separate power amps. So I can mix and match with preamps. Example, might be fun to try amps that use 6l6 power stage with el34 instead. 3. Germanium fuzz face. 4. Fuzz faces... with selectable diode e.g. bc108, bc109, nkt white dot etc. 5. Some sort of fx build tool that will allow us to as our own fx into the helix. Eg. we start with a tube screamer circuit, choose our transistors and diodes... audition the sound, give it a name... then upload it to our helix. 6. Similar to (5) but for building cabs. Allowing us to select cab size and speakers for each position within the cab. 7. Granular mic positioning including off axis.
