  1. UPD: I solved the problem (at least partially) by install both versions (3.70 and 3.82) and copying all the “resources” folder of the newer version app to the older app. Now I just use the old app with the new “guts”. All amps an effects are visible now in 3.70 version. Seems like a good temporary solution. YMMV.

  2. Thanks @Schmalle. Using a TRS cable fixed the issue. For some reason, though, when I tried the pulling the TS plug out a little and adjusting the polarity, that didn't work. What happened was the volume pedal correctly adjusted parameters when they assigned, but when I used was in Pedal Edit mode, the pedal acted as if it were inverted. Either way, I'm going to pick up a short TRS cable now--much appreciated!

  3. I don't see a "Get Tone" button either. I see a list of presets. Superimposed on each is a rectangle with an "eyeball" icon. Tapping it appears to "select" it, but that's it. Since I've never found a useful sound on Customtone, I long ago stopped bothering with it. Workaround - works using OneDrive (OneDrive app required) or iCloud Drive: DL the tones to your iCloud/OneDrive, then (on your iPhone, from FILES>BROWSE>iCloud/OneDrive) copy them to the FILES>BROWSE>On My iPhone>Catalyst Edit>Presets folder. They'll now appear in the list when you select Load Preset in Catalyst Edit on iPhone. If downloading tones from Customtone directly to your iPhone matters, I suggest you contact support. My bet would be that it's a known issue.

  4. Not sure about where you are, but where I live I can pickup a used Windows 10 laptop for dirt cheap and could be used for a lot more than just HX edit.... moving forward you may find you will need it more and more. Even then... Microsoft moves the goal posts even further on Oct 14th 2025 when they drop support for Windows 10. NOTE: I'm not suggesting you move your stable studio setup to a cheap windows 10 laptop... I'm suggesting you use it for the things your old machine isn't allow to do anymore.

  5. Use a TRS cable to connect the pedal. Alternatively pull out the TS plug a little on the AUX input of the pedal and use the Tip/Ring switch in the pedal or Global Settings -> Preferences -> Tip Polarity.

  6. Ye gods - this is like pulling teeth. You wanted CONFIRMATION of the information, which I had previously supplied to you, and that was a direct cut and paste from the Line 6 Knowledge base - it states:- From the HX EFFECTS FAQ page: Does HX Effects have an audio interface? No. It's designed for your pedalboard. It will send and receive MIDI data over USB, however. So, the CONFIRMATION from an official source was not a GOOD thing? This is borderline insanity. It’s starting to travel down the same sort of wormhole you started back in October when you said you had bought a new HX Effects and failed to understand how stereo inputs work. That was fun - not! I fail to see how my response, and a similar one from @codamedia, could be confusing. Both of us explained that in order record any audio from your HXFX into a DAW, you need to use a dedicated stereo audio interface to capture any sound created in your HXFX, up to and including the onboard synth pads. In fact I did actually mention the 3 note and 4 OSC generators. Is that too confusing? I also pointed out that, as the HXFX is NOT an audio interface, in order to use it with a DAW it has to be treated like any other outboard multi-fx unit. Please, research how to connect external audio effect processors to you particular DAW. Ah, yes - I’m one of those people who use a Helix as an audio interface, and have used it daily like that since 2015. I must be afflicted with actually knowing what I’m doing with this stuff. I have come to the conclusion this an exercise in total futility.

  7. Below you find a link to the updated cheat sheet, now updated with the nice stuff brought to us in the Line 6 firmware 3.80-update. I have used Ben Vesco's method to calculate the relative DSP values. Technical info in the pdf that was not published by Line 6 has been explored through available info from manufacturers, forums and other "reliable" sources. If you find something wrong/strange don't hesitate to let me know. Download the cheat sheet from my Dropbox (pdf-format) – https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/3ye2g1okvx18ypsww746w/Line6-Helix-Model-and-DSP-Summary-3.80.pdf?rlkey=8ygh0iqax8ewds0i3yn0nxc86&dl=0 Some of you have used my DSP calculation tool in Microsoft Excel. I have decided to put this tool on hold for now. The reason is that I found myself making the calculation I need from this pdf-document, quicker and more "on the fly". I had some other ideas to include too, but that will be later... Hope you find it useful. And Line6, I have left space for at least 30 more amps, cabs and effects in future updates... :-) /Per

  8. I have looked up all the solutions and nothing is working. I am getting the MSVCR100.dll error on my ASUS laptop running Windows11. There is absolutely no reason this program shouldn't run on this PC and having to search the web for hours and jump through hoop after hoop to no avail is inexcusable. I even tried to type in a command to register the file (in system32) manually and the program still refuses to open. Needless to say I am right upset at the moment, so I am sorry for the tone of this post. What can I do to easily fix this? I tried to find a link to Pod Go Edit 1.10 to see if that might work and am having no luck. Line 6 needs to provide their program links under the product itself instead of hiding them in a forum. This is a crock of B.S. Again, sorry for being so angry, but I am beyond frustrated at the moment.
