For me personally there would be much more important things for a new POD Series to add. I'm using 3-4 Amp models over an over again - just not intersted in the other models. Some things I'd like to see if a new series comes out are: - Posibility for Reamping as it was in the X3 - Phantom Power in the pedal version - better equilization - better editor software - more sensitive tuner ....

This is a screenshot of the driver paths on Win7. Its for my HD500 but the paths should be the same on the x. I'd try to delete all those files and then reinstall the drivers for the HD500x.

Thanks for your reply. It's such a pity - I think that would be a easy fix. I'll try your suggestions next time I do an update.

Befor updating the firmware of my HD500 I did a backup of the whole Bundle. Then I updated the firmware and also overwrote the presets since I wanted to see if its something new in there. Then I imported my original Bundle again and I noticed that the names of the setlists didn't update. They are still named after the factory setlists. I mean the presets and setlists are all there but the names of the setlist not. I always give the setlist my own names and this is very annoing. I noticed this behavoir long time ago and thought it would have been adressed in a software update but is still there (might have been years). Anyone else having this problem?

Have you tried to uninstall the device in the device manager and reinstall all over again? Right klick on the device in the device manager and select "deinstall" (Deinstallieren). Then unplugg the POD from you computer and install the driver for the HD500x again using Line 6 Monkey. Plug in the POD only when requested in the software dialog.

Variax JTV-69S & Seymour Duncan Hot rails
Dshow replied to Dshow's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Thanks for the replies. I have already asembled a Stratocaster with vintage specs and did the whole wiring myself. So I have a little experience with soldering. Actually I like the sound from the stock pickus of th 69s but just thought it would be nice to have a bit more "balls" on the bridge pickup. I don't play metal or anything like that mostly classic rock.I guess I will keep the stock pickups for a while and then decide if it is worth changing them. -
Hi, has anyone tried to change the bridge Pickup of the Variax JTV-69s with a Seymour Duncan Hot rails. Is there a place where I can see the values of the stock single coils of the JTV-69s? I'm thinking of changing the Bridge Pickup to a hotter one but I'm not sure if it will fit and how it is installed. I have already some experience with changing Pickups on my real strat but on the variax it is more complex wiring. Thanks

So what is with the blow out prices?

TheRealZap, on 22 Jun 2014 - 5:46 PM, said: neck issues were fixed long before the "S" models were released.... in other words... no "S" models ever had the neck or bridge issues that the early 69's had Thanks for the anser Zap - I have the JTV-69s now here for testing - I really like it. Like the real pickups even more than the models. I think I might keep it, since it is a very flexible solution together with my POD HD500. Consider me a new Varix user ;-) -
Earvana installed this weekend - my experience
Dshow replied to ajktsb's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Hi, can you tell me if this one would fit the JTV-69s: http://www.shop.earvana.com/Fender-Style-Shelf-Nuts-FDRNUT.htm I don't like the one with screws. Thanks a lot -

Dshow replied to digiprod's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Hi Charlie, how can you tell, that those issues are fixed? Is there a date afte that the issues were fixed? I'll receive a JTV-69s to try next week and I'm willing to keep it if I like it. The serial starts with 1208 so it's build in August 2012. The only thing it has is a mark in the finish where the wood shines through under the clear finish - It looks almost like a relic. But doesn't bother me if everything else is OK. Thanks -
Yeah I also find the Tuner on the POD HD500 is not accurate. Even an online tuner I use is more accurate. Line6 should keep that in mind for future gear.

pod hd desktop as audio interface(daws, latency questions)
Dshow replied to lalka_ebasos's topic in POD HD
Thanks for the reply TheRealZap. I have installed the software on my Laptop, which works fine for recording. Maybe I should try it on my desktop at work, that's a pretty actual PC (16GB Ram...) ;-) -
Did you try to do a global reset after updating the firmware? http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/pod/pod-hd/video-tutorial-how-to-reset-the-pod-hd-series-r209

pod hd desktop as audio interface(daws, latency questions)
Dshow replied to lalka_ebasos's topic in POD HD
As for monitoring the POD works fine, but did you try it as Interface to play with an Software like S-Gear 2 or Amplitube...? I mean not recording but actually play. I take an empty preset with the volume all up and go take the sounds from S-Gear to play with. There is a really noticable latency. -
pod hd desktop as audio interface(daws, latency questions)
Dshow replied to lalka_ebasos's topic in POD HD
What are the values you get for latency? I'm not able to get a good latency value I would expect from a professional gear. I mean for recording it ist OK but if you use it as audio Interface there is too much latency. I get 5,238ms for the Input and 10.567ms for the output (with lowest buffer size). Which sums up to ~ 16ms this is way too much - Go0d drivers work with a latency around 2ms. I wanted to try out to use the POD HD500 as audio interface in Cubase and use the sounds for the S-Gear 2 PlugIn. There is a really noticable latency which is not fun to play with and you never can get a good feeling. -
Thanks for the suggestion - I guess I will reorganize my setlist ;-)

Not gigging at all at the time - just playing at home. But I switch between the sets quite often (organized in Styles) and have to crawl under the table or open the Edit software. Can't answer your second question since I haven't tied yet.

Thanks for your replies and the Ideas. I will definatley try out with a Midi cable.

Hi, Is it possible to change the setlist with a footswitch? I mean with the bank selection you can switch through the banks of the actual setlist. But what if I like to change to another setlist. Can this only done manually with the Preset knob? Thanks

If you buy a second hand POD, will you have USB connection issues?
Dshow replied to hoodermaniax's topic in POD HD
I don't think this is Line6's fault. I think it is a problem with the pc or operating system itself. Have you tried to completley de-install / remove the device in the device manager? After de-installing disconnect the POD and reboot. After rebooting install the driver (not with monkey, donwload the driver itself and double click on the .exe file to install). Reconnect the POD when you're asked for. I'm on windows7 too and this worked for me. If you have trouble remove the POD in the device manager this video should help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uNW26y9HSo -
Great thanks for the bundle!

There is a Patch on Customtone but I didn't find it using the search. So I attached it here. Just rename the file with the ending .h5e instead of .txt (I got an error uploading the .h5e file) bass simulator.txt

You have to logIn otherwise nothing happens when you click on the links

This is what I noticed after updating the firmware. I was waiting for that since I bought the HD500 and I bought it right after it came out. Recording options where much better in X3 anyway but this is great to have finally.
