  1. yeah, i have one of these which works a treat for home use http://www.musicstore.de/en_EN/IEP/art-GIT0007806-000 powers my varian with a TRS cable and ac adapter but generally i am connected to hd500x viz VDI... don't even know where my battery is! i lost the battery charger during a house move a while back and never bothered to replace it :)
  2. hey charlie, i just dropped it in to a local luthier who fitted it and added a bone nut. only charged me 50 bucks, he said the neck went in without hassle and settled quickly. was gonna do it myself but my we just had a baby so between running to and from the hospital etc i figured it easier to drop it in and collect two days laters.
  3. that Birds Eye is stunning. Mine is a Mighty Mite with oversized headstock. the neck slotted into place easily enough and had the nut swapped for a bone one. All in all extremely happy! have this decal ready to go (i had grand aspirations of designing an original one but those died pretty quickly, and we all know how well 'original design' went for the tyler neck and headstock! :D :D :D ) for now i am liking the blank headstock. will give it some tim and decide whether or not to add the decal. also..at first i wasn't happy with the original pick guard shape but with the new neck i really like it.. they offset each other nicely.
  4. Don't think you can buy the neck separately but i posted a pic of mine with replacement maple neck in the below link. Love the look and it plays like an absolute dream. http://line6.com/support/topic/10348-jtv-neck-replacement-pics/?do=findComment&comment=72239
  5. there ya go folks..... absolutely loving the neck, cannot stop playing it!!!
  6. Aha!!! sorry was reading it on my phone and didn't see the name!! great!!
  7. Hi, no not a compound radius but that's not huge for. The big improvement for me is the neck shape. I am very impressed with the quality of the neck. Frets are finished nicely and live the oversized headstock. Will post picks when done. Would love to see pics of yours!
  8. Hi, You should be able to do all the routing within the HD500 on a patch by patch basis. For example you have your 4CM which i presume would be mono anyways.... then send your balanced left or right (whichever is not being used for mesa) signal from the hd500 straight to the desk. That way, by simply switching a patch you can go from electric through your mesa to acoustic straight to FOH.....(via your pod of course) it also means you can send a 'effected' signal from pod to FOH, which for the variax acoustic models IMHO is necessary. hope that helps!!
  9. While waiting on my maple neck replacement i was curious as to what a strat style pick guard would look like. I cannot draw for crap with a mouse but thought you may be interested :) its a gif, click on image to see animation
  10. Hi Folks, I am in the process of replacing me JTV 69 neck and have been scouring the forums for pics, There seem to be a few threads out there and tricky to find so I thought i would start a thread where people who have done so in the past can post there pics . Two pics i found on this forum so far are below. They are not mine but thought it would be a start. Please take credit for them if they are yours :) Rosewood fingerboard was origional posted by snhirschand the Maple fingerboard was original posted by infor-bumeran and please, if you have replaced your neck do post some pics. I will certainly post some of mine when done!!! :)
  11. Hi Folks, I ham experiencing the exact same issue, even after the flash update. its like its line of sight only... if i 'dance' in front of the amp (amplifi75) it stops streaming altogether. I need two be within to metres on the amp to get a stream. Dodgy as all hell. I connect to my old bose bluetooth and my car bluetooth system without issue!!!?? using iPhone 5s any suggestions? may just have to bring this amp back and call it quits...
  12. Just received my new Sonic Port and love it! I have the analog iRig and the irig HD which I have been using with amplitude and bias but there is something extra with the SP VX. Not sure if they have extremely low buffers or the impedance is better matched but the SP sounds better, guitar 'feels' better to play. Anyways...... One question.. Is it just me or is there a distinct lack of overdrive/fuzz pedals in Mobile Pod app? Am I missing something? Keep up the good work Line 6!
  13. Quick update on my smashed LCD. (Based in Ireland). Line6 UK sent me a UPS label to ship the unit back. I tracked the parcel and they received it on Monday. I spoke with them on Tuesday and the unit had already been repaired and it was on its way back to me. Cost 90 quid (incl shipping). I have it back and am delighted with the quick turnaround and level of customer service they gave me. cheer lads! :D :D :D :D :D :D I had to play one gig with my analog rig over the weekend and it reminded me how much pain my POD has taken out of the gigging experience!! I will definitely take better care of my baby from now on!! lol!!!
  14. They have raised a return & Repair ticket for me looks like it will run me around 85 quid.... hopefully the turnaround is good!
  15. I got one of these and they are superb. i'd say are are made with the same cable as the best-tronics one. 3m worked out perfect for me
  16. Excellent!!! I am sold!!!!!... I have the same 69.... may go with a maple neck....... Looks ALOT better with strat neck
  17. I used to own a PE60 2x12 back in the POD XT Live days. I wouldn't exactly call it Full Range considering they had a pair of Celestion 70 80's & no tweeter. They are good powered cabs but will require a bit of tweaking and there will be a discrepancy between your headphone sound and live sound. There are a few schools of thought in terms of whether to use Studio or Combo output mode....... I would start with studio but definitely experiment with the Combo mode and trust your ears. I eventually moved to the Atomic FRFR 50 (50watt tube power amp closed back 12" & Tweeter) Gave me a much punchier sound plus i was was able to use Variax acoustic tones which i couldn't do with the PE60 (I also jumped to HD500 at this time....) Now, since we upgraded our PA i go direct in (and use in-ear monitoring) couldn't be happier with FOH tone. If I were to go the powered cab route now it would definitely be the line 6 stage source series..... my 2 cents..... hope it helps.....
