Close to an XD-V75TR purchase, quick question...
sdevino replied to SiWatts69's topic in XD-V Digital Wireless Microphones
Pin 4 provides a lower impedance option via a 20k ohm resistor. If pin 4 is open the input impedance is about 1MΩ. This is the normal configuration for instruments such as guitar that want to see a high impedance. For vocal pin 2 is normally shorted to pin 4 so that the input impedance becomes just a little less than 20kΩ -
Connection Issue Between TA4F Cable and G50 Transmitter
sdevino replied to venicegtrtek's topic in Relay Digital Wireless
I think the issue is actually your transmitter. If you contact customer service they can fix this for you. -
You mean literally? The G50 receiver would burn a battery down very quickly. We are always looking at possible applications. There is a long thread over on our idea scale site http://line6.ideascale.com where you can add your vote. IEM is one of the most popular requests there. Sorry I am not answering your question directly but we cannot talk about future product development, but we do pay close attention to the ideas submitted and viewpoints expressed on IdeaScale.

You also never clarified what the antenna setting is: Use the Setup button to access the ANT IN menu and select the inputs your antennas are connected to. If they are on the front it should be C&D, if they are on the back it should be A&B. Do not select BOTH unless you have 4 antennas connected. Also make sure you use the supplied 50 ohm terminators on the unused antenna inputs.

It looks like either will work assuming the 2.5 inch width will stretch to 2.75 inches. The small just fits in terms of length. This one fits well http://www.amazon.com/Levys-Leathers-MM4-Wireless-Receiver/dp/B00074B67A/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1410796011&sr=1-1&keywords=levys+mm4 and allows you to access the battery door while it is in the pouch. Which is better depends on your needs.

BTW here is a link to a photo of violinist Eddie Jobson (Curved Air, Roxy Music, U.K., Jethro Tull and Yes) with a G50 Transmitter rigged to his violin.

XD-V35 compatible headsets
sdevino replied to ScooterDK's topic in XD-V Digital Wireless Microphones
Check with Countryman or other mic makers. Most have our requirements specs. They can usually make up a termination to suit your needs. You should also know that most 3rd party lavs and some headsets are available unterminated if you are comfortable wiring up the connector yourself. -
RF2 works very well in rooms where there is little WiFi. It offers lower latency and choice of 2 more channels.

How old are these body packs? We had an issue with RFI on handful of body packs. Sounds like you may have some of them. Please contact service for help with that.

There is a post requesting this feature on http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Wireless-Digital-Output-Mode/535811-23508 Go there and add your vote or comments. You may have to register if you haven't already done so. BTW 11 other people agree with you there so far. Thanks

Line6 P180 Antenna Placement
sdevino replied to voicemaster's topic in XD-V Digital Wireless Microphones
The problem with covering the antenna with your hand is not just reduced power, it also effective changes the shape and size of the antenna. In other words your hand becomes part of the antenna and your hand is not designed to be a good 2.4 GHz antenna. This is an equal problem for all wireless. In technical terms we say you are de-tuning the antenna. -
And I would recommend using 180 degree paddles if you decide to go that route. Point the hot side toward what your performers and the cold side towards whatever you want to ignore, such as a WAP.

sdevino replied to voicemaster's topic in XD-V Digital Wireless Microphones
You can run 4 paddles or antennas with the G90 receiver. -
I usually press the edge of the key against a table top or bench and slide the rest of the receiver body in front of the desk or table. The table edge stops the key, but your body weight easily moves the receiver. I also recommend contacting customer support to buy the new style key before re-assembling. The new once have no tension whatsoever.

While the whole thread was not reposted (I do not have admin capability to do that) I did repost the topic. As my Avatar states I am part of Line 6 staff.

I want to try to add perspective to this thread. Every speaker cabinet from every manufacturer will buzz or rattle under the right sonic conditions. We know this because we had no problem generating buzzes and rattles in every one of our competitors speakers that we have tested, all speaker builders know this all to well. Once you know what combination of sound and power it takes to create the buzz, then you can recreate it over and over again as well as teach others to do the same. If you happen to be a user who happens to use any speaker from any manufacturer in a way that causes an undesired rattle, feedback, frequency bump, or if your speaker turns out to be too heavy, too big, too small or in any other way inappropriate for your use then you should contact the retailer you purchased it from or customer service and work with them to resolve things to your satisfaction. If any speaker you have from Line 6 is not performing to your expectations due to some kind of electrical or mechanical issue then you should contact customer service to address your individual issue. If your speakers are working well for your application then please keep on keeping on.

I do not think the earlier posts were deleted intentionally. But we may have to wait until Monday to find out more. In the mean time this is what we posted on Friday: Line 6 is aware that some L2 model speakers are exhibiting a rattling noise in specific cases and applications. We have determined the root cause is the fan. We are aggressively working on a solution that will undergo extensive testing to ensure that: · the noise problem is addressed · the fan performs as expected · no new issues are introduced Although we’ve made this a high priority, we can’t commit to a timeframe until we have a qualified solution in house. Once that work is complete, customers who report the problem to Line 6 Customer Service will be given appropriate guidelines for repair. We will report a solution at the earliest opportunity, and we thank you for your continued patience. What this says is we do know what the problem is and we are actively working on a solution which requires finding, replacing, and testing a new part. I am sure all of you would appreciate this being a thorough and well tested solution. Until the parts arrive and the testing is completed there is no legitimate way we can give you a time line without being misleading. So for right now it is still TBD which is the only accurate answer we can provide for now.

Line6 P180 Antenna Placement
sdevino replied to voicemaster's topic in XD-V Digital Wireless Microphones
When using directional paddles it is just as important that the paddles be pointed AWAY from interfering sources as it is having them point towards the transmitters. On pro tours we recommend using boom stands with the boom on an angle. Set the Paddle above head height and angle it so the paddle points towards the performers and away from anything overhead. -
There are two of us that approve accounts. To my knowledge only one has been denied because the address was all numeric and did not appear to be human. Since we are both in the US on PST sometimes you have to wait over night our time to get approved. For what it's worth I am reading this. For whatever else it is worth all the product development team spends a pretty good amount of time on IdeaScale looking at the suggestion threads.
