I'm looking for suggestions to warm up my tone for my Cordoba GK. I've gone through the obvious contenders and have yet to find an amp/cab combo which gives me that low end warmth without breaking up or burying the clarity across the spectrum. I guess I'm kind of looking for something that plays nice with Piezo PU and approaches that sick Gabriela Quintero tone. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks. Santa got my six year old a hoverboard. He's more in to the kart-attachment application (which is scads of fun, btw) while I enjoy riding it freestylee. I've actually gotten fairly good at it. Sadly, I hit a 'bot's dot' at about 10 MPH and landed on both palms. It was fine for the next couple of hours, but by that evening I was in a corner whimpering like an unloved puppy. So now my wrists are in splints. Looking forward to the DL page coming up soon. This new update sounds like the exact reason I bought this bad boy.

Logged on to find the 2.50 update has been released. I haven't been on the site in months, nor have i played in months, due to both wrists being in splints. Mistakes were made. I'm still injured, but I need to at least try to get some strings in. Go to DL the 2.5 annnnnd... 503: Service Temporarily unavailable. Back to the splints.

I doubt you even need a MIDI floor controller. Just run a MIDI through from one to the other in a daisy chain?

I haven't seen any information on a 2.30 update. In fact I was getting ready to ask if there is anything in the works. Can someone point me to a thread that discusses this?

ayup. Exchange it and get two. I use a volume pedal and to ME pedals. A volume pedal really showcases the accuracy the Helix has in emulating amps and FX. On gain-heavy presets I use the first EP on pitch shift to sim feedback by controlling the mix on a +12 signal. I use the onboard pedal to control gain and the VP to control the amount of signal coming in to the unit. EP 2 is there if I need to mix in delays or swap in a wah as either a filter or an active wah via snapshots. That's just one of wtf knows how many different configurations I use them for, but it's my go-to on dirty setups (think Tool or Melvins). On shred songs I use a similar approach, only with a greater emphasis on mixing in different filters via (or Vai) the second ME pedal. Best. Setup. Evah!

Just a casual observation, but it used to get me virtually every single time. I'm about to update to firmware 2.12 AND editor 2.12. While this seems like a good thing, there is latency between the two versions and that can create issues. Perhaps switching one to something like 2.12.0 or at least explaining that these are two separate updates in the descriptions L6T so faithfully creates when he posts might help a few people whom I'm sure have ended up taking that shot of mescal which he prescribes in his nine-step disclaimer/warning.

Seriously? You have three registered products and you create a thread about something that you apparently *don't* have regarding the lack of a feature that said product *does* have, and you claim you're a producer? Nothing from nothing, dude, but every producer I know has read the manual for a given piece of equipment, taken the time to understand it, and actually *used* the device before they complained about it. And if you're a studio tech you can easily patch spillover in post production.

My understanding is that they haven't figured out a way to transfer that much data between a tablet and the device. I agree that it would be helpful, but so would a pony and a trip to Europe.

+1 on the VH4, only I'd prefer to see all four channels.

What he said. The problem has been solved for quite a while. If you're turning the knob or bumping the stick in a given direction inadvertently the problem disappears immediately. I use the joystick when needed, such as when auditioning IRs, but aside from that it is all comp interface. Your back will thank you.

Was anybody else a bit nervous DL'ing the updates today given that it's April Fool's Day? Totally digging on the new Firmware. I've freed up enough DSP to put parametric EQ after two parallel IRs. Thanks guys!

Cool. Thank you very much. I FINALLY did the 2.12/2.11 updates yesterday and am zeroing in on a tone I've been chasing for a while. Need to start experimenting with IRs to see if that helps solidify the high end of the tone. Very much looking forward to the upcoming 2.20 release and the stated feature of less DSP-intensive modulations.

And the proximity to April 1 has nobody concerned? What could possibly go wrong?

I thought that I had read somewhere around the time H-Native was announced that there were some IRs here to DL. If so, could someone point me to them? If not, can somebody tell me what was in that damn tea?

I have two ME EP1-L6's. I use them for anything a dedicated EP can be used for and they're great. Give them a call as they typically build them the day they're ordered. I have a red one and a greenish one.

mostly disagree. I always run dedicated stereo signals and balance it during sound checks. It just adds another dimension to delays and mods. However have to admit that your comment regarding multiple guitars is spot on.
