  1. In my opinion: no I suggest to follow the tips listed below here, in particular tip n.3 (given that you had already another WIDI Master, now broken but still registered in your system) : https://www.cme-pro.com/support/ copied and pasted from the WIDI Master support site: Troubleshooting 6 Basics to Fix 80% of the Issues Update your WIDI device to the latest firmware version(s) via WIDI app for Android/iOS. Do a factory reset after updating via the WIDI app and reboot your WIDI device by turning the power off and on again. When pairing with an operating system, clear your operating system's Bluetooth cache by removing existing WIDI devices from your general Bluetooth menu and toggling Bluetooth off and on. When the above does not work, perform a manual hard reset. Press and hold the button on your WIDI device when it is NOT turned on. Then plug it in to turn it on, after the green LED light blinks 3 times, release it. This will manually reset your device to factory settings. Follow the exact instructions as provided through the separate manuals for each WIDI device and WIDI App to perform the pairing process and set up WIDI Groups through the WIDI App In addition to the manuals, feel welcome to check out the how-to videos via the available playlists for each individual WIDI device. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  2. Ok... So of what has been said before in this case at least it remains useful to know that POD automatically sends MIDI program changes every time you select one of its presets (and bank+preset) and does so on its set MIDI channel number. Therefore in this case these program changes will be sent to your MIDI interface, which interface is the device that should be selected in the settings of the standalone plugin or DAW. The rest of the necessary instructions can be found in the support section on the Neural DSP website: Using external MIDI devices _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  3. Using a standard MIDI cable connect the POD MIDI OUT to the MIDI IN of your Neural DSP device.. Make sure that the POD and Neural DSP are both set on the same MIDI channel number (by default it should be channel 1) Now as soon as you select a preset on the POD the Neural DSP should automatically change its preset accordingly. EG if you select bank 1 preset A on the POD the first preset of your Neural DSP should be called automatically, if you select bank 2 preset A on the POD the fifth preset of your Neural DSP should be called automatically, and so on.. Arrange (move, save) your Neural DSP presets in order to get the right correspondence between the POD presets and those of the Neural DSP. So as an example when you select bank 1 preset A on the POD you get the right preset on the Neural DSP, and so on.. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  4. Check your mixer (or monitor) unbalanced input if it is working fine.. Check also the 1/4" Out switch next to the pedal, move it up and down a few times, and finally set it to LINE _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  5. You don't need to connect the POD to your computer via MIDI.. Just connect directly a MIDI cable from the POD to your Neural DSP.. You don't even need to program a patch to send MIDI program changes.. As you can see below here (copied and pasted from the manual) the POD sends automatically corresponding MIDI program changes every time you select one of its presets.. All you have to do is to create a sort of setlist (or rearrange your device presets) on your Neural DSP in order to get the right correspondence between the POD presets (fixed order of banks and presets) and those of the Neural DSP. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  6. As mentioned above by pianoguyy the reason of your problem is that you have changed the FS5 through FS8 footswithes function from "preset mode" to "pedalboard mode". _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips

  8. Between the Delay models you can find the one called "Auto-Volume" This model gives you two effects in one. A volume fade-in swell used for a bowing effect. The other effect is an echo, complete with tape-style wow and flutter modulation. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  9. Obviously if there's no active reverb in the chain, the patch is technically reverb free, but your patches contain an active delay, and generally speaking both the delay and reverb are time-based effects that add, albeit differently to each other, a sort of third dimension to the sound, a sense of space and distance. In a sense, reverb is basically made up of multiple "delays" and feedback that make the "echoes" blur together. Turn off the the delay in your patches and your guitar part will be 'in the face', guaranteed.. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  10. As soon as I opened your patches (without even trying them with my equipment) in the Editor I saw the reason of your dilemma: both patches include a long delay fx active in the chain. With certain settings the delay fx works as a sort of reverb. Turn off the delay fx and your patches are "reverb" free. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  11. Yes, I can clearly hear a long reverb effect applied to your guitar track.. if it is not from the POD it must be from the DAW.. If there is no reverb effect in the POD chain it is impossible for it to come from the device. Anyway, if you want, put your patch here as an attachment so we can check it and see if we get the reverb from nowhere too, or if there is a logical reason why it is being heard. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  12. As long as you do not share the audio demo you posted above in google drive (by setting the relative permissions), it will not be possible to download and listen to it. However, if DAW monitoring is disabled as you said, and no delay or reverb effects are active, the only parameter I can think of that could give a reverb-like effect is the ER (early reflections) of the cab when this is set to the maximum (or close) value, thus giving an effect similar to a room reverb. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  13. Both track monitoring in the DAW and POD direct hardware monitoring are likely enabled at the same time, and DAW monitoring by its nature is plagued with latency (delay) which is out of phase with the direct signal and results as kind of a bad echo effect. The solution is to disable track monitoring in the DAW. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  14. the above comment doesn't make much sense to me.. the summing to mono feature exists for a reason.. If the guy connects the POD 1/4" jack output to the EFFECTS RETURN of his amp, ie to a single mono amp, the POD 2 channels signal needs to be summed to mono not to lose any part of the intended sound... so why on earth should he put a dummy plug into the other 1/4" jack? _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  15. Of all the possible connections between POD and an amplification system, the one between POD and the front panel input of a guitar amp is the worst (especially if you use the POD amp or preamp models). I would rather suggest connecting the POD to the EFFECTS RETURN input of your Prosonic, this way you will avoid passing the pre-amp signal from the POD into the Prosonic pre-amp and it will go directly into the power-amp. Doing so you should get a much more balanced sound, less fizzy and boomy. (If you do, remember to set the 1/4" Out switch next to the pedal to LINE). As for whether or not to enable cab models when POD is connected to a guitar amp, nothing prevents you from experimenting. Perhaps the cab models sound good through the Prosonic's amp/speakers. Certainly patches built to sound through FRFR monitoring will never sound the same through a guitar amp. The suggestion here is to always build the patches with the same rig system that you intend to use live. Regarding instead your question about FRFR monitors the best thing is to try them live with your own equipment, it is the only way to understand if you really like them. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  16. The driver did not install properly in your pc. Try uninstalling the driver and installing it again. This time instead of using Monkey download the driver installation file directly from the DOWNLOADS section of this site and use that. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  17. If all of his patches use the same input configuration and all he has to do is change input1 from Guitar to AUX the global setting could only be an advantage, not to waste time patch by patch. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  18. Since you were using the single input approach [ie with input2=variax (like saying: null)] I suggest using the setting you said above to retain the same response you had previously from your patches.. FYI several POD users prefer to use use the fixed 1 megaohm impedance input setting instead of AUTO in their patches. (eg you get a better bypass signal) The AUTO setting exists only to have a slightly more faithful response from a very few effect models like the Fuzz Face, and to do so the Guitar In input impedance circuit AUTOmatically changes its configuration depending on the very first effect model (on or off doesn't matter) placed in the chain. However the fixed 1 megohm impedance you get from the AUX input is perfect for all amp models and most of the effect models. When the Guitar In input is set to 1 megaohm impedance it behaves exactly like the AUX input, no differences at all. The good news is that the input settings can be set as Global, doing so all your patches will use your Global input settings and you don't have to change them all one by one. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  19. I suggest trying the AUX input instead of Guitar In to see if the problem depends on the input used. The Guitar In input is equipped with a particular circuit for impedance change, while the other inputs do not. Maybe there is a problem in the Guitar In input circuit, if you do the test above you will find out. If the AUX input works well you can use it regularly if you want, it has a fixed impedance of 1 megaohm which matches that of most guitar amps _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  20. How do you know that the floorboard works properly individually if the connection with the POD isn't working? Are you sure the floorboard model you are trying to connect is compatible with the POD model you have? What floorboard model do you have? 23. I suggest you try to contact directly the official Line6 support guys by opening a support ticket: https://line6.com/support/tickets/ Here in this forum we are all just normal users like you and we help each other if and when possible. 24. USB\VID_0E41&PID_4159&REV_0000 is the hardware id I read for my POD HD500X, line6 driver v. 4.2.7.6 running on a windows 10 pro pc. since perhaps a power glitch has occurred in your studio it may be that some driver files in your pc have become corrupted, and for this reason I would suggest to uninstall and reinstall it. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
  25. Yes, it would be a mistake,.. connect only the guitar to the POD if you really have better options for the voice.. If you buy another (supposedly better;.. and the Motu M4 could be one) audio interface mainly to get a better mic preamp, the mic should be connected directly to it and not to POD, otherwise this solution would not make sense. In this context the very first pre-amplification encountered by the mic signal is what makes the difference. In this way, for the effects on the voice you can use only the plugins available in the recording software, for the guitar you can use the effects available in the POD and/or those available in the recording software. PS. I just discovered that the two of us have talked about similar topics time ago: https://line6.com/support/topic/55928-is-a-preamp-like-gap-pre-73-can-be-good-for-the-hd500x/ _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
