I hope it's a typo and that there is infact a 1.11 firmware available too, fingers crossed
-
Yeah I'm sometimes playing a riff, singing and trying to look cool while changing patches, I only ever manage 2 out of the 3 but having to time the patch change early so it's in time with everything else is a step beyond my capabilities
-
I'll stick with my Zoom G5 for now, I already tried most other modellers in the same price range including the hd500 and I didn't get on well with any of them, I don't like the digital sound of boss stuff either so I'll just wait and see if either zoom bring out a successor to the G5 or the Firehawk gets fixed and I'll buy it again I'm not that blown away by the helix tbh, for that kinda money I'd want more effects
-
I got a response for my support ticket They said do a system reset after reinstalling firmware and app and if that doesn't work I need to send it to a repair centre I already tried resetting and I'm not about to send a brand new firehawk to a repair centre so I'll be getting a refund next week

If you want the Firehawk to handle effects and the DT for your amp sound then you need to research the "four cable method" or "4CM", personally I don't use that method so I'm not in a great position to advise you on that In the unlikely event that you want to use the Firehawk for amp models and fx then you just plug from the Firehawk into the fx return of the DT amp, but then the DT won't be responsible for your sound it will just be amplifying the Firehawk sounds

I've opened a support ticket with line6 and while I'm waiting for a response I contacted my supplier to see where I stood, they have offered me a refund and have said I can give it a few days to see if my support ticket resolves anything So I doff my cap to Andertons they have been really easy to deal with both this time and when my first firehawk arrived faulty
-
I think it's all of them, it looks like a software bug, when I got it I wasn't pressing hard on the pedal or switching patches multiple times
-
I'd be more confident if someone from line 6 would come forward with some information...
-
Yeah I get what your saying, last night was my first band rehearsal with the Firehawk and it locked up once and the patch changes were much more noticeable than when I've played alone, maybe I'd got used to the clunks and warbles, much like your experience my bandmates loved the sounds I was getting but they all agreed we just can't risk it live, our next gig is an outdoor festival that is being recorded by the BBC in England, we are 1 of 3 bands that were picked from hundreds and it's a massive opportunity for us, we only have time for 5 songs but definitely can't risk it locking up as there are no second takes I was fairly happy to wait out for another update but there has been no response from line 6 about the issues in about a month So we don't really know if a fix is in the works or not I don't think any musician would argue that it CAN be used live, not as intended anyway, I mean I basically have a multi fx that I'm scared to change patches on
-
I experienced it for the first time tonight, while switching between 3B and 3A both patches were ones I'd made from scratch I'm going to enquire about a refund this week
-
Yeah I can see it now too, and I can change all the blocks to whatever I want
-
Wow that's weird I searched for the tone but can't find it, how did you come across it?
-
I'm yet to experience this problem (touch wood) but so far I'm only switching with my hands as I'm still setting up patches on a table as I have a duff leg which is on the mend, so it got me thinking is it possible that it's due to excessive force on the switches or some other mechanical problem? The obvious thing is a software problem but maybe it's not the obvious
-
Maybe they should have called it vampire fx instead of firehawk fx
-
Well it's a bit weird to be honest, first few weeks I had it the bluetooth light would always come on when I powered up the Firehawk, but recently a couple of times I've had to press the bluetooth button and then it connects automatically, I'm not sure the reason for this but it could be that I'd been using the Firehawk for a while without the app and it just timed out or it might have been because I switched the bluetooth off on my phone to save battery (I'll keep an eye on it in future) Interesting what you said about Android staying connected, mine doesn't and I'm finding it annoying to keep reconnecting
-
I too was thinking of getting a stagesource speaker and a jtv guitar, but I've put all that on hold for now. I've said it somewhere before but the most frustrating thing is that this pedal sounds exactly how I want it to sound, I genuinely love the tones I'm getting and I find the app a pleasure to edit with, the warping sounds are the worst culprit, the rest of the band keep looking at me like I farted everytime I change a patch
-
Not sure of an answer to your questions but I can say that my phone automatically connects to the Firehawk whenever the Firehawk is switched on I'm using an android phone though not apple. However I also have to reconnect everytime I minimise the app to look at emails or texts etc

Remote App Rating Nag Screen and Overall FH First Impressions
mcbeddall replied to RafterRattler's topic in Firehawk
You can save manually using the pedals on the Firehawk which should suit you better when ABing with your old gear Just long press on the patch your editing Screen flashes (save mode) Either select a new patch location or just long press again to save If you give the app a rating it will stop asking for one, you can change it later so just rate it as you see it -
The way I see it is that you are correct it is unsuitable for live use, so I think we have a good case for getting a full refund should they not fix it, the question is how long do we wait it out?
-
1) when you select "bender" hold your finger down on the parameter you wish to control with the pedal and set it to pedal 2) set the wah as you like it and turn it off before saving, now when you select that patch the wah will be off, just press the toe down on the volume pedal and it will switch the wah on, there are led's next to the pedal so you can see whether it's in wah or volume mode All of that is in the manual, might be worth a read

I mentioned the top right drop down menu a week ago in this very thread lol
-
Do you know what preset number it is? I'm having a mess about with the Firehawk now, I could tell you if mine is the same
-
Try going into your tremolo and disabling the fx knob (if it is assigned to any parameters) by long pressing on the parameter in question, if that gets it working then you have something set incorrectly regarding the tremolo and fx knob, if for example the fx knob is controlling time it may be defaulting to the slowest time everytime you select the effect making it so you can't hear the tremolo, then as soon as you move the fx knob it kicks in, if that is the case then you will need to move the sliders in possibly If you upload your patch to the cloud I'll download it and try it out on my firehawk if that helps
-
Make sure you find that patch name and post it in the corrupted patch thread, if we work together we can help line 6 eradicate the problem
