I had a look at the video, you could try replacing that tone by powering up the firehawk and save a different tone in that slot using the app, if that stops it freezing then it looks like a corrupt patch
-
Is it the A and D patch lights of death?
-
Very clearly explained bravo! Really like the colour coded cables and stickers
-
Are you using single coil pick ups?
-
Check my post above, I was editing it when you posted

What are you recording into? I tried the xlr's into a usb audio device as I didn't want to bother changing the soundboard settings everytime I switched from recording guitar to recording vocals but I got a ton of latency and had to keep pulling the tracks back in time I found recording through the usb straight into the computer to be much better and I think all the other outputs of the firehawk still work as normal, the usb connection doesn't mute the other outputs
-
I think that when you select amp mode the xlr's only carry mp3 playback from the app. You get guitar through them when your in line mode or direct or whatever it's called, check the manual it explains amp mode in there Not sure why the fx loop is affecting it though, I don't think it should

To be honest I'd assumed there was something in the works for a pc app because so many YouTube videos state that you CAN use a pc, many of them we'll known reputable channels
-
I had no problems at all using it as an asio device into cubase 5, in fact I was surprised at how easy it was to set up, I only recorded a few guitar tracks though, I haven't used it at length yet
-
Might be best to open a support ticket for some official advice

We all have this problem unfortunately, line 6 are working on a fix but we don't know how long it will be, using the same delay times in both patches would help, or having the delay set to off so that when you change patch you then have to switch the delay on via one of the footswitches, not ideal I know but that's all we can do
-
From the app select "playlist" and play a song from there, the app will then search for tones
-
1) yes you understand that correctly 2) normally 4 cable method is intended to let you hear the sound of the actual physical amp your using so you would turn any simulated amps and cabs off Obviously there's no harm in experimenting but your delays and reverbs should sound good using just your physical amp
-
Zoom publish their latency times when changing patches, but as the g5 changes patches in 2 milliseconds I guess they would shout about it
-
If you want line 6 to hear ya buddy then posting it on ideascale is really the way to go, lots of ideas on there end up being implemented
-
An alternative for making the second row of buttons higher that some of us have used is to swap out the rubber feet at the rear of the firehawk for taller ones
-
I'm just curious because it's still not clear, can corrupted tones still be downloaded? Do they still exist on the cloud?
-
+1 to the above summed it up perfectly
-
It's part of the issues unfortunately, however we have been told a fix is on the way. In the meantime some users have reported that in some cases if you use the same amp in both the clean and distortion patches the pop is reduced Another thing that helps is if you can set up a patch that does both clean and distortion by toggling a drive pedal on and off
-
Not sure if that was an intentional phone pun or not lol
-
(corrupted tones cannot be uploaded because they crash the unit and thus can't be selected for uploading). I don't really understand what that last bit is trying to say
-
I recorded with mine for the first time a few nights ago and I had a really good experience doing that, it was super easy to set up, zero latency and the tracks sounded exactly how I intended, and I intended them to be awesome! The sounds I'm getting through headphones are incredible, I literally could not be happier with the sound of this thing, going through my amp takes a bit more tweaking but the end results are very very good for live use however I find the firehawk a struggle, the patch changes are too long and noisy with pops, crackles, warping sounds etc they are noticeable even with a full band blaring away so if you switch patches often it is sure to be a big frustration, they are fixing it though so who knows? By the time you open the box and programme all your tones into it the fix might not be too far away
-
I'm not that excited about it to be honest The price is off putting, for me to spend that sort of money it would have to do more, also not sure I could go back to editing on the unit after finding firehawk app so easy to use

Using expression pedal to manipulate multiple effects simultaneously?
mcbeddall replied to BillMaslanka's topic in Firehawk
I haven't used bender yet but I just tried assigning the pedal to control position and it worked first time, I'm guessing you already know this but just in case.. You need to hold your finger down on the position slider until a dialogue box pops up asking if you want to assign tweak to the fx knob , click yes and then enable the pedal using the small slider on the same screen -
We have about 4 changes of tempo per song but none of them deliberate
