I'm going to persevere a little longer, I'm hopeful that improvements are just around the corner, I admit it is incredibly frustrating though, I'm loving the sound of this thing but using it live is going to make the whole band seem amateur

Latency half a second at preset change on Firehawk?
mcbeddall replied to alexdreamworld's topic in Firehawk
Looking forward to that bond -
The lt3 has 2 speakers so it will be legit stereo and sound fuller to your ears, especially when using stereo delays/chorus etc but if your part of a band and playing to a crowd then in my opinion it makes no difference, because the speakers are so close together in the cab your average audience member won't hear any difference and sometimes it can even sound a bit washed out when compared to running in mono, I mean with the sound guys we usually get I'm happy if my guitar can be heard in the mix so I rarely bother them with setting it up in stereo, it only seems to make them even more grumpy than they already are when I ask lol

Not possible at the moment, I'm not sure if the bottom row of switches can change colour

£500 for an 8 inch speaker? Did I read that right? I'm not sure you'd get it loud enough for a gig or rehearsal I'd definitely recommend trying one first, your not too many dollars away from a stagesource lt2 or l3m (which will do stereo) and they will have you covered for any kind of gig, rehearsal or whatever, A cheaper option would be a fender mustang iv amp, that will do stereo and be plenty loud enough and sound great for $200 used

I think he's just pointing out that using another expression pedal would fix your problem as you'd have one pedal for volume and one pedal for wah
-
You could try tightening the pedal a little or even loosening a little so you can feel when the pedal is fully toe down and you'll know not to push any harder and avoid activating the switch, I think that's what the included Allen key/wrench is for

As far as I can tell it only saves where you tell it to, if I save to my tones it doesn't appear on my firehawk until I send to firehawk, I've got myself into all kinds of bother with it to be honest, with some tones disappearing from the my tones list so had to recreate, that's why I'm saving everything to the cloud
-
I haven't been saving in that manner so I haven't experienced that problem, I've been using the app, I create the tone and then save it to "my tones" then I also share it via the cloud, that way I know if the hardware or app go wonky for any reason I can always find my tones by searching my user name. Once you can see the tone in "my tones" you can save it to the hardware from there by clicking the top right of the screen Also the way your doing it (long press to enter save mode) the next press isn't a long one just a short press on whichever destination patch you choose
-
I've been using the Firehawk similarly to yourself, I have approx 25 hours of programming time invested so far and I've had hardly any issues, certainly no freezing up or load errors (touch wood) I usually surf around the tone cloud as a shortcut to every patch I make and no issues there either I'm telling you this as I think it may be worth your while getting a replacement, my first unit had a badly installed switch so I had it swapped for another new one so there's evidence to suggest not all units leaving the factory are 100% perfect The one issue I am having is some tones that I save to "my tones" disappear every now and then, and some weren't saved to the unit or the cloud so they're gone for good, not the end of the world but very odd Anyway I hope you get some answers on this one buddy

Sounds like you can apply a simple formula to attain your desired switch height, so I might try and go for a 5mm difference in height by getting some feet about 15mm high

Firehawk Solo Boost, Alternate Preset Mode, Smart Preset Change
mcbeddall replied to freddie0815's topic in Firehawk
Ok I'll give it a vote I've been having a think about how I could personally utilise what your proposing and after another look it would indeed be beneficial to me, 1) we do a folky number which I strum clean chords most of the song but I have to use a different patch for the solo/bridge the only difference between the patches I use is the volume so a simple boost function would suit it better 2) in a couple of our songs I use 2 patches the same with the only difference being the type of delay used, first patch has a reverse delay and 2nd patch has reverse delay turned off and a dotted 8th turned on, everything else is exactly the same so an A/B patch/scene setting would be great for that, but I would probably need a pretty quick way of switching as opposed to "holding" a switch- 4 replies

Firehawk Solo Boost, Alternate Preset Mode, Smart Preset Change
mcbeddall replied to freddie0815's topic in Firehawk
You can do the "boost" by just jumping the fx send and return jacks and upping the db in the fx loop and assign it a switch to turn it on and off I think personally for me I'd find it confusing, I mean how would you know if the red led was getting brighter for a boost or a different scene setting? As for the patch changing I just want the change to be as fast as possible, having delays tail over would be nice but I don't think the processors could handle it I'm not intentionally raining on your parade just giving another viewpoint- 4 replies

Are you both using an extra pedal?
-
I started using powered speakers as amps about 15 years ago, used to get some funny looks back then lol, thing is the old wharfedale I used then sounded great, better than newer ones I've tried, as it was just a cheap speaker the only thing I can put it down to is that the cabinet was made of plywood and not plastic like the ones you get now

Hey that's awesome thanks for sharing

Tony's on the case! Go Tony!

If I were you I'd seriously consider getting a new unit under the guarantee, I know others have had this problem but you seem to be getting it much more often than others
