  1. Try the attached preset. If we're hearing the same thing, it may be caused by having your amps in series. Putting them in parallel paths with an A/B split solves what I'm hearing. You'll probably need to rethink your Snapshots. PRACTICE Mod.hlx
  2. Global Settings>Footswitches>Stomp Select OFF - always on Homescreen TOUCH - Homescreen unless you TOUCH the FS PRESS - Homescreen unless you PRESS the FS TOUCH & PRESS - Homescreen unless you TOUCH or PRESS the FS
  3. Can't really hear it over the ambient noise. Unless it's what I'm hearing as ambient noise? Attach the preset and I'll test it on mine.
  4. Assign a FS to the FEEDBACK parameter with the MIN set to your default and MAX set to 100. FS ON = INFINITE repeats; FS OFF = DEFAULT repeats. Place your VOLUME block before the effect. Start the effect by hitting a note and the FS (or vice versa), pull back the VOLUME and turn on the tuner. When you're done tuning, exit the tuner and hit the FS again to stop the effect. There's probably other ways and it may depend on the effect, but I tried it with a Simple Delay and it worked a treat!

That looks like hair. Do you have hairy pets? Could it be burnt hair smell?
  6. If you bought it new, return it. If you bought it used, check to see if the speaker leads are connected correctly. The connectors on the speaker are marked +-. If you have another amp, connect it to the speaker to test the speaker itself. If the speaker is OK, then you're probably screwed. Open a support ticket in case it's a known issue. L6 is known to sometimes fix such issues even out of warranty.
  7. I know what the PEDD is. The question is whether or not the onboard EQ will solve your problem, or if the Helix Global EQ would be better. Only way to find out is to try. FWIW - make sure that the PEDD is off the floor to prevent added boominess due to acoustic coupling.

Did you switch it back on? Is it working?

If it's fried it's fried. No way to tell unless you turn it on again. Mine is almost always on unless I know that I'll be gone for days, 9yo and still rock'n'roll. Out of curiosity - is it on a hard surface or a carpet? If it's on a carpet, DON'T DO THAT! The vents are on the bottom. I keep mine on a shelf from Home Depot.
  10. The purpose of the Global EQ is to EQ for whatever room you find yourself in so that you DON'T have to EQ each preset. The Global EQ is parametric, so it is likely more powerful than the amp's EQ, but there's no harm in trying those settings first, especially if you are not familiar with how parametric EQ works.
  11. Adding to what @ricstudioc said. Use one of these to change the impedance, cable built-in: https://www.amazon.com/Hosa-MIT-176-XLR3F-Impedance-Transformer/dp/B000068O69/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2I3J0S1KJHHRJ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.op2CXd8UUCo1-OC7bBV8NYkHQriqWDBwRexjPsYQYpBmRCx23vYju8wKd4Y2jH7LDT4MjVV-nAuLUO6DMGy9LuyjlU6YMg4dCXo5xE_pRWcaHZ9g02yGemJlagKZOW-FuGvCBDzqWMnE5aVNrY3LnLjnvGPTD8KHJSDtesDRcPGzf7kVyVBs8PkIXTgXPVaJ39uAl6zezUaS5nzmohBgi38ik-ecZi6BG1KUwqAk-tG2dkBuGxFzp4QAQy8yLbH7qS6Hr6KDJ23UXCI5gUlh_5S0p02g17t94zh7AzS7trs.1z39n2rPXXXDsNyab1IltMqqDqG_KnQuxcwg1QkzyoU&dib_tag=se&keywords=mic%2Bxlr%2Bto%2B1%2F4"%2Btransformer&qid=1746288555&s=musical-instruments&sprefix=mic%2Bxlr%2Bto%2B1%2F4%2Btransformer%2Cmi%2C254&sr=1-4&th=1 I tried both the AUX and a RETURN and got a much better signal with the RETURN. Attached is a demo preset. You're already using the SPLIT on the MIC path, so I used the split of the GUITAR path for the second mic. Vulture1.hlx
  12. I'm actually thinking about getting another PC112+, or even a plain PC112, to "stack" under my Catalyst. It could be that when I had the PC112+ I just didn't know how to use it. One reason that the PC212+ is for sale is that it's just too heavy (I'm old!) so it never leaves the house. It could be that the "fullness" that the FRFR112 adds to the Cat's sound would be even better with the PC112+. Plus... STACK! Would look SO much better than the FRFR112, which works really well on its own as a bass amp. IDK though, money, and I haven't seen a used PC112+ on sale here in the Denver area in ages. OTOH, there's currently three PC212+ for sale.
  13. You are correct, there is no "TOGGLE" setting. AUTO and MANUAL just determine what happens when you're in ACTUAL Snapshot Mode (accessed by pressing the UP/DOWN switches concurrently) - RETURN to PREVIOUS (Stomp or Preset) Mode immediately upon SS selection or remain in SS Mode until the CANCEL (MODE) switch is pressed again. To accomplish what you want, set "Preset Mode Switches" to "8 SNAPSHOTS". This effectively changes PRESET Mode to SNAPSHOT Mode. In that setting, to get to the actual PRESET MODE you first press the MODE switch to go from STOMP to 8 SNAPSHOTS, then press the UP or DOWN switches to enter PRESET MODE. IOW - the reverse of the default behavior.
  14. Check "Settings View", Page 8: 2 MIDI Thru Off, On On When On, MIDI OUT also acts as a MIDI THRU; that is, it passes through any MIDI messages received at the MIDI IN jack or USB MIDI IN. NOTE: Incoming MIDI Clock is always routed to MIDI OUT/THRU and USB MIDI OUT, regardless of this MIDI THRU On/Off setting.
  15. Why TWO footswitches? Are either of those configured as CC TOGGLE?
  16. Glitch. Computers. Can't live with them, beating them with a stick just causes more problems.
  17. You've got that switch set to CC Toggle.
  18. You only get 4 Snapshots on the HXFX. FS1: Calls SS1 - activates amp's channel one via MIDI with Comp and Reverb ACTIVE/ON FS2: Calls SS2 - activates amp's channel two via MIDI with NG and OD ACTIVE/ON FS3: Calls SS3 - activates amp's channel three via MIDI with NG and OD ACTIVE/ON FS4: Calls SS4 - activates amp's channel three via MIDI with NG, OD, Delay and EQ ACTIVE/ON FS5: Toggles Chorus, regardless of SS FS6: Toggles other effect regardless of SS SAVE each SS with the requisite FX ACTIVE/ON. Unnecessary FX should be BYPASSED/OFF when the SS is SAVED. Since you only specified Chorus on Ch3 with NG, OD, Delay and EQ (SS4), placing the Chorus on FS 5 right next to FS4/SS4 allows you to hit both switches at once. Dicey, I know, but in lieu of a 5th SS, it's the best I can think of.
  19. You can't assign a FS to a different FUNCTION in different Snapshots, only different VALUES related to a function. Likewise, a named FS, even if you change the FUNCTION (which changes it in ALL Snapshots), retains the NAME you've assigned it across Snapshots. IOW - If in SS1, FS1 is assigned to NOTE and a VALUE of D4, then in SS2 it will be NOTE but with the default VALUE of C3 until you change the VALUE. If you change the FUNCTION to MIDI CC in either SS, that change will apply to all other Snapshots. Regardless, the NAME will remain the same in ALL Snapshots.
  20. Although the HXS functions work for most people, inevitably someone comes up with a scenario that just flat requires an external MIDI controller. Glad you got it working!
  21. As I said previously: There is no GLOBAL VARIABLE in which to store the preset #. You can't use an IC to call an HXS preset, only an EXTERNAL DEVICE preset via MIDI. Out of curiosity - WHY do you need to always be able to return to Preset 000? It makes no sense to me that you would want to change Snapshots on preset x and at the same time return to preset 000. Maybe I'm misunderstanding. Help me to understand. It's possible that you can use the Morningstar's PRESS&HOLD function to allow the Morningstar to duplicate the HXS "Snapshot Stacking" function. Then you MIGHT be able to use the DOUBLETAP ability to send the PC#000 message. IF you can do all of that, then you can use a single Morningstar FS to do it all from one switch, but it would still take two separate actions.
  22. First, what do you mean by "the foot controller switch"? The HXS FS as I demonstrated in the example preset? Or a FS on the Morningstar? BTW - which Morningstar are you using? So, on EVERY preset you want a FS to take you to Preset 000??? Using the HXS as controller you can't use the same FS that you're using to toggle Snapshots. You need to configure a separate FS to do that, in every preset that you want to do that (go to 000) in. If you're using the Morningstar as controller you'll have to read the Morningstar manual to figure that out.
  23. Here's a simple example preset. Note the settings in each Snapshot for IC1 (JVM preset select) and FS1 (Stacked Snapshots). amcolan1.hlx
