  1. The current POD HD drivers works on build 10240.
  2. This above video is different from the one below, which displays the delay part in question much better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KUSkGeaUPU
  3. Great sounding patch, and really close to the original. A big part of the tone comes from the sustainiac, which it looks like you have on there? For the section with the delays, that would probably be very hard to nail unless you know exactly what the original note arrangement is. Anyway, great playing.
  4. Came across this wonderful acoustic guitar performance. After listening to this, isn't this why we play guitar? My mind is completely blown after watching this. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXDPjebNGsE

    ASIO latency

Very good point. I usually have my soundcard set to 10ms. Undesirable audio effects start to happen when set to anything lower than 4ms.
  6. At 48KHz sample rate, that's 166.67ms. At the same sample rate and a 2048 sample IR, the Helix would be 42.67ms. Does anyone know what the ones built into Helix are?
  7. Have you tried a pedal calibration?
  8. I've been trying Windows 10, and currently the HD stuff works on it. So I see no reason why Helix won't. I'm actually hoping Helix will work on 7, as 10 is really underwhelming in my view. It still needs a lot of polishing in a lot of areas.
  9. Haven't preordered yet, and probably won't. I really wanna wait and see what the initial effects list is going to look like. Amp list for me is way more than enough, in fact overkill. The thing about what TheRealZap said factors in heavily for me, since I'd use it only for recording. I'm also curious how it will compare to the AX8. But I will more than likely have this thing before year's end.
  10. It's fortunate that the community of people here are mostly male. Females would probably take offense at comments like this.
  11. You have the right idea about Q - it controls the bandwidth around a central frequency point - but reversed. So a lower Q would be a much wider bandwidth and a higher Q, very narrow.

    Helix Demo Videos

Nice to hear some bass samples in there. Sounds cool, especially the the one with the Rhino cab. Was there any signal processing done outside of the Helix in any of these?
  13. The amps are louder than any others for me as well, and I think you hit it with that statement. The model packs amps were made using the HX modeling process and then adapted to the HD units.

    Helix FAQ

It will contain at least these: SV Beast Nrm SV Beast Brt Cali Bass (assuming this is actually a bass amp. No clue what it's modeled after) G Cougar 800 Cali 400 Ch1 Cali 400 Ch2 These two were listed with the rest of the bass amps on the list I found. Not sure what these are modeled after either. The SV Beasts and the G cougar 800 are from the bass model pack for the POD HD, and they are really good. It's a good taste of what they might sound like on the Helix since they were made using the HX modeling, then modified for the POD HD.

    HELIX DELAYS

For the reverse delay, http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Reverse-Delay-for-Helix/740489-23508?submitted=1. There was a Sweep Echo in the originally posted effects list, but no Lo-Res, unless like you say, it can be done via a different method. Put it up on Ideascale
  16. In the Helix forum, can't remember which thread, this was talked about and they did use a different USB port on the Helix. So hopefully that problem doesn't exist on the Helix.
  17. I believe it's the down arrow while powering on. The right arrow while powering on brings up a list of diagnostic stuff, including for the flash memory.

    Helix FAQ

It's most likely USB2. This is one thing I've always disliked about the using the software editor; the sync time. Hope the new software might allow the possibility of a selective sync.

    helix remote

You're right. Looking at the picture on sweetwater, it says 9V 3A!
  20. Glad to help out.
  21. Same here, very distracting. Hold the view button on the unit to access the system menu, which is twelve pages. The setting you want is on page two.
  22. You're probably right. The good thing is the new Helix fixes this by having an LCD for each switch, if you're looking for a new, more expensive, modeler. But don't get your hopes up for them putting out another update for the POD HD series. You could always try by putting the idea up on http://line6.ideascale.com/

What is the DC IN on the helix control for?
  24. I doubt if something like this will be coming for POD HD. The best you could do is make physical labels for each switch. In fact, there's someone on this forum who makes labels for purchase: http://line6.com/support/topic/8544-custom-magnetic-labels-for-hd500x-any-interest/?hl=custom+labels
  25. LOL. When I first looked at this, the floor was a wall and the wall was a wall with a book/cd/video arrangement correctly aligned. Then I tilted my head and the floor was a floor but the wall was a wall with a book/cd/video arrangement incorrectly aligned.
