  1. You cannot make it longer, you are limited by how it is set up (memory storage space and software).
  2. Have you tried a factory reset (hold A button in while turning on the power)?
  3. OK, for a start I hope you are using the Boss unit on the input side of the amp, so Guitar > Boss > Line 6 amp, not the amp to the Boss unit. You should be hooking up the 'GUITAR AMP L/mono' to the input of the amp. Try plugging some headphones into the headphone jack of hte Boss to make sure its working. Does the amp work if you plug your guitar directly into it?
  4. No, neither of your Line 6 items has the capability to be updated.
  5. No, it really doesnt have MIDI capability, despite what the Line 6 manual for FBV Control - the software that does the real work - says (http://line6.com/data/l/0a060072178e54aa1904ecce5c/application/pdf/FBV%20Control%20Application%20Basic%20User%20Guide%20(Rev%20A)%20-%20English.pdf) If it did, then you wouldn't need FBV Control to use it.
  6. For a start, you should be using an audio interface to get your guitar signal into your computer - this could be a Line 6 device like a UX2, or some other interface with instrument input. the Creative soundcard is really a gaming card, not the best device for audio AD conversion. The way most people will record audio and video at same time are two different chains - one the video recording, and two the audio recording, then combine them in video editing software.
  7. No, the FBV does not have MIDI capability - it is just a controller/switchbox.
  8. Any audio interface should be able to do this - in your computer you have to select the interface as your audio device so that SPotify, etc use it for sound - you'll need to disable the built-in soundcard.
  9. You should be able to go straight from the 1/4" output of the amp to the line input of the UX2. What do you mean by 'without success'?
  10. The bank up/down works, but you then need to select the patch (A/B/C/D) in that bank to switch to it. This allows you to got to any new bank while continuing to play your first-chosen patch, then change to that new patch when ready. The toe switch is very hard to engage on new FBVs, you need to stand up and have shoes one, too. As you got an older used model, its possible the switch is not working.
  11. Since you mention 'playback', you must be reocrding the signal? Check your buffer setting in your DAW.
  12. It's all about labor cost + parts cost. Most places charge a minimum $75 labor cost, a new pedal is $99 (less than that if you use a discount coupon like Guitar Center offers often - 10 or 15% off).
  13. Ben-gigi - do you have an FBV MkII pedal (Express or Shortboard)?
  14. If everything is the same - guitar, cable, and UX2 settings, something is affecting the recorded signal somehow, I'd look for settings or a plug-in you are not aware of being activated.
  15. Do you have Spider Edit installed on your computer? You will need this to load the tones into your amp. When you look at the listing of custom tones, there is a down arrow in a circle on the right, clicking on this gives the option to save or open.
  16. The Spider IV 15 is really a bedroom practice amp. With an 8" speaker, you really can't expect fantastic 'stage worthy' sounds. I wouldn't be using any cab sims on a pedal before the Spider's preamp, either.
  17. The FBV is just a controller - it doesn't house any patch or sound information, so the up/down just goes between each bank, then the A/B/C/D buttons select the patch in that bank.
  18. I don't believe it is constructed that way - the 150 doesn't have two 75 amps in it. The preamp/processor is the same, as the 75 actually has stereo ouput (accessible via hte headphone/DI output).
  19. Have you tried plugging the pedal into the MP3/CD input on the amp? This input bypasses the preamp. 'Muffled' to me means you're lacking the high-end, not the mid-range. First look at the G3X's EQ settings and make sure you don't have the high end backed off on it.
  20. Are you saying that the previously-recorded track is changing, or that when you record a new (dry) track it sounds different than the previous one?
  21. How are connecting them - are you using a splitter to put the stereo amp output into both inputs of the UR22 (1/4" line inputs)? You'll need to keep the amp master volume and gain controls on the Stenberg down low to start out with. Plug a set of headphones inoth teamp jack and make sure the sound is what you want when you start, too.
  22. This link is better: http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/fbv-mki-mkii-controllers/the-complete-line-6-pedal-compatibility-faq-r58 It shows that they are compatible.
  23. If the patch is controlling the FX, then I don't think the Shortboard's lights would show their use - only when you are using the SHortboard to manually control those FX.
  24. Make sure you are using a 'Clean' setting on the amp. Distortion X distortion seldom sounds good.
