  1. Assuming you have a Spider IV. You can control many parameters, such as pitch bend, by programming the amp settings in a patch. Suggest you read the amp manual.
  2. That's an indicator that there is something else in the amp not working, a service center can diagnose it.
  3. Manuals are linked above. You cannot use both pedals as volume controllers at the same time.
  4. No, you cannot do that for the boost function, it is a continuous controller, not on/off. You'll need to read the manuals regarding programming it.
  5. Check the jack pins on your amp - there may be bent ones.
  6. You can use the EX1 to control volume, tone or any other adjustable parameter (not on/off) in the FX, but you need to program it to do so.
  7. Actual feedback (which should vary depending on the actual volume setting), or just a high-pitched squeal? Have you tried the guitar direct into the amp without the Wah?
  8. If you were able to download Monkey, then you were connected at some point! If you are still getting the same error in Monkey, you might want to uninstll it, delete all Line 6 files from the Line 6 folder and start again as it mauy not have installed correctly.
  9. The factory Cat5 cable is fairly fragile, as are the connectors (on pedal and amp), so that's your first step - try another cable. If the problem persists look at the connectors on the amp and pedal, there could be a bent pin.
  10. You must have bought your amp used, as they haven't made the 2 series since about 2007. How much did you pay? Guitar Center has used Spider 3 15's for $50, new Spider 4 15's for $99. A shop is likely to charge a minimum charge of $60-75 just to evaluate the amp. The sound from the Spider IV is infinitely better than the 2 series, I'd suggest moving up to a new one with warranty!
  11. The Spider 15 is not servicable (field service charge woudl be more than a new amp). I"m afraid your amp might be toasted. How long have you had it?
  12. Thre's a knob on the front of your Scarlett that says 'Direct Monitor'. All the way anti-clockwise is input, all theway clockwise is playback (track monitor).
  13. I have heard of this happening before, something in the FBV update jams up the FBV. Not sure there is any user fix. If its still under warranty, bring it to a factory service center for evaluation.
  14. First, back them all up to your computer, using Spider Edit. Then you can move any/all around to the User Preset locations. Without using Spider Edit, select the preset you want, then save it to the new location where you want it.
  15. Unfortunately, it sounds like something messed up with the firmware update when you did that. Your equipment should still be under factory warranty, so you'll need to take it to an authorized service center for evaluation and repair.
  16. have you tried plugging the FBV into your computer wihtout the amp plugged into the FBV? Does Monkey recognize it?
  17. Direct monitoring = monitoring what is plugged into the interface, so of course it will sound clean! I'm not familiar with Mixcraft, but most DAWs have a 'track monitor' selector on each track.
  18. Make sure you have all anti-virus and firewall software disabled, there is a firewall-type thing in W7 tha tmay be blocking you. After uninstall did you go into your files and delete the Line6 folder? If not, do so - there are files left in place that may be screwing htings up.
  19. there are people who have done so. Google "how to modify line 6 spider IV amp so speakers do not mute when pluggin in headphones"
  20. Not sure if you have tried it already, but without having the EX1 plugged in, put the pedal into WAH mode, then try plugging in the EX1.
  21. I assume you disconnected the USB form your computer before trying it wiht the amp. If this is a brand new FBV, I'd get it exchanged from whomever you bought it - I have heard of others hwose Express got screwed up somehow during the firmeware update.
  22. Not sure what you mean by 'cycles then fades' - it sounds like you might have a delay going.
  23. Plugging into the DI/headphone out on a Spider IV amp auotmatically mutes the speakers. The only way to bypass this is by opening the amp and changing the wiring, which will void your warranty. Womever advised you regarding MOnkey does not understand this equipment. Monkey is the program used to update and download/install Line 6 hardware-related software. You need an FBV MkII controller pedal to connect the amp to your computer to use Monkey.
  24. To build on what the RealZap says - ar eyou tyring to control an amp or PodFarm (you mention Podfarm in your post)? You mention 'MkII', which could be the Spider Valve or an FBV pedal.
  25. As far as switching channels and getting too-loud volume, you need to read the manual regarding saving user patches, sounds like you have your master volume all the way up.
