  1. You can't switch banks with the FBV Express. You need the FBV Shortboard to switch banks.
  2. In general, creating your own tones is quite simple. Just select the gear you want to use and play around with the settings until you get a tone you like. For creating specific tones for an individual song or artist, I find it easiest to do a google search and see what might come up. For example, going to google and searching for "muse supermassive black hole guitar tone" gives a ton of good search results that you can read through to find out which types of amps they use and what effect pedals and settings would work. Also, Equipboard.com is a decent place to look up what gear different artist's use/have used. Here's the page for Matthew Bellamy: http://equipboard.com/pros/matthew-bellamy Then, you just have to find equivalent amps and effects on your Amplifi and set up your tone. Here's a list of the gear equivalents for the Amplifi amps: http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/amplifi-products/ampl/amplififulllistofampsandeffects
  3. The reason why you can't see the presets without being connected to the amp is because the presets are all stored on the amp itself. To cycle through the presets with the FBV Shortboard (which does not require the app at all), simply press the Up/Down buttons on the Shortboard to move through the banks (the display will show you which bank you are on) and then press either the A/B/C/D buttons to select the corresponding preset.
  4. Did you try force closing the app (double click the home button and swipe up on the Amplifi Remote app), then forgetting the bluetooth connection and re-pairing?
  5. If you're using the latest version of the app, load your tone and make your changes. Then click Save/Publish button in the top right corner, and select "Store on Amplifi 150". Then select the preset you want to overwrite (or there are 4 user preset slots that are empty by default), and press "Done"
  6. You can't switch banks using the FBV Express. To do that, you need the FBV Shortboard, or to use the app. The FBV Express can only switch between presets A/B/C/D of Bank 1.
  7. Have you checked the repeat setting in the actual iOS Music app? Those settings affect the Amplifi Remote app for some reason.
  8. Firmware version 2.50.2 was released today (about 3 hours ago). Seems to solve most of the bluetooth disconnect issues.
  9. Thanks for the new firmware update. It only took a year of waiting, but the Bender effect finally works with the pedal on the FBV Shortboard. For those wondering how to set it up, do the following after selecting the effect (it's usually best to place it as the first effect in the chain): Set the "Heel" to 0 (select a different value if you want the starting position to be higher/lower than the dry signal) Set the "Toe" to the octave/note you would like to bend up/down to Set the "Mix" to 100% Assign the "Position" to the FX knob (press and hold on the word "position", then when the "Assign To Pedal" dialog appears, select "Yes" The pedal will now bend when you press the pedal down. You can reverse this by reversing the Heel and Toe values.
  10. You need to have Bluetooth turned on on your iPad, and then you need to pair the amp with your iPad. To do this: 1. Turn on the bluetooth on your iPad (Go to Settings, Bluetooth, and turn on). Leave the bluetooth settings open. 2. Then on the amp, press and hold the bluetooth button on the top left side (right above the guitar input jack). Hold it for a few seconds until it starts flashing quickly. 3. On your iPad, under "Other Devices" on the bluetooth screen you will see your Amplifi amp's name appear. Click on it to pair it with your iPad. 4. Then open then Amplifi Remote app and you see it connect to the amp.
  11. My experience is the same. I'm using a 6 foot Cat5e cable. The delay is a few milliseconds at the most. The only other thing I could add is that there is sometimes a slightly longer delay (still less than 2 seconds as claimed) when changing tones while the app is open on my iPad.

    USB Lag

I don't own an Amplifi TT (I have the Amplifi 75), so I can't say 100%, but I'm pretty sure that the USB port on the TT is out only. Meaning it's not an input. It's used to relay the output of the TT to your computer for recording. The RCA and Toslink jacks are outputs only as well. There's no Aux In jack to route audio to the TT. I'm pretty sure the only way to play your music through the TT is by streaming through bluetooth.
  13. How long ago did you buy it? You should be able to take it to the store where you purchased it (unless you bought it online) and have them deal with sending it out to the service centre.
  14. How did you get early access to the firmware?
  15. All they're going to tell you is that they're working on a new firmware version that will address the connection issues. And when you ask them when it will be available all they'll tell you is that they're working on it and don't have a release date yet. I've called a few times and that's the only answer I ever get.
  16. The Shortboard MKII is an interface only. So it only interacts with the amp, and doesn't store or save anything. The preset tones are all stored in the Amplifi. The Tone buttons on the front of the Amplifi TT only control the A/B/C/D presets of Bank 1, however the other tones are stored on the amp and are accessible by either the app or the Shortboard. It's the same with the Amplifi 75/150 amps. In order to have access to the presets though, you have to upgrade the firmware to the latest version. After upgrading, you should see the presets on your amp by using the app: My Shortboard wasn't plugged in when I took that screenshot and you can see that the presets are all there. It only takes about 5 minutes to update the firmware using the PC/Mac update utility, which can be found here: http://line6.com/software/
  17. Did you update the firmware on your TT? I believe the default factory firmware that it ships with does not include any of the presets.
  18. No, the manual is correct. Press the UP and DOWN buttons to cycle through the banks, and press A/B/C/D to select the corresponding preset.
  19. I apologize if my comment offended you. That wasn't my intention. Just wanted to point you to the instructions for future use.
  20. The only manuals available that I know of are the pilots guide and a list of the factory presets.
  21. Download the "Line 6 Update Tool" from the link above and follow the instructions. It's very easy.
  22. You probably could have saved yourself a ton of time by just reading the instructions: http://line6.com/data/6/0a060b316ac34f0593cc41922/application/pdf/FBV%20MkII%20Series%20Controller%20Advanced%20User%20Guide%20-%20English%20(%20Rev%20B%20).pdf
  23. It's not likely to ever happen. There's no display to show the user what bank and preset is being selected. The display used for the tuner only shows 1 character.
  24. The best advice I could give would be to buy one from a store with a good return policy (my local store's policy is 30 days as long as it's as-new when returned) and give it a try. Or hold off until the new firmware update is released (we keep being told it will be "soon") and get a sense from the forum whether any of the connection issues were addressed. You'll never know how well the amp will work for you and your playing habits until you try it for yourself.
  25. There is no app for Mac. Only for iOS devices (iPad and iPhone). There is a "Line 6 Update Tool" for Mac that is used for updating the firmware, which can be found on the Line 6 download page: http://line6.com/software/ All it does is update the firmware, but it does it much quicker than a mobile device can (5 minutes via the utility versus 1 hour+ on a mobile device).
