You can't switch banks with the FBV Express pedal. It only has access to the presets stored in A/B/C/D of bank 1. In order to cycle through the banks you need the FBV Shortboard MKII.

Are you sure you've actually tried to change amps and cabs? You have to click on the "Amp/Cab" section of the top bar to bring up the amp screen, then click on either "Amp" or "Cab" to select the different amps and cabs.

Well, as I said, I was having the same problem where streaming music worked fine, but the amp would constantly lose it's data connection. Just like you, closing the app and re-opening it would always get it to reconnect. I assume that the music streaming and data connection use different protocols, which may be why one is affected when the other is not. It was getting pretty frustrating since I've owned my 75 for a while and the connection problems only surfaced recently. And like I said, I found out it was the wireless connection from my new tv that was causing it (the tv and amp are about 6-8 feet away from each other). Turning off the wireless on the tv solved the connection problems and I haven't had any since. Obviously, it wouldn't be a viable solution to turn off your wireless router. But it might be worth it to move your amp further away from it to see if it helps.

Constant connection problems are likely a sign you have something causing interference. Any wireless signal, as well as other devices running at 2.4ghz (microwaves, some fluorescent lights, cordless phones, etc), can cause interference. I was having the same problem about 6 weeks ago and discovered it was the wireless connection on my TV that was causing the problem. I turned off the wireless on the TV and the connection problems were gone.

How to use the FBV shortboard expression pedal for the bender?
Jaguar9080 replied to FAchterberg's topic in AMPLIFi
You can't. It doesn't work despite what the manual says. The expression pedal only controls the volume/wah. External expression pedals don't work either. -
My Amplifi 75 did the same thing when I bought it. I took it back and got it exchanged for another one. Since you just bought yours, it might be worth it to do the same. Also, for what it's worth, there is no Amplifi Utility for Mac. Only for PC. It is on the software page though. Just select "Amplifi Utility" from the Software List and choose "All OS" and it will come up.

You can't switch banks with the Express MKII. You can only select between presets A/B/C/D on Bank 1 with the footboard. None of the presets or banks are physically in the footboard, they're stored in the amp. The footboard merely acts as an interface to control the amp. If you want to be able to cycle through all of the banks and presets you need to get the Shortboard MKII. It's a little more expensive but, in my opinion, well worth it. Not only can you cycle through all of the banks/presets, but you can also turn effects on and off

In the app, go to "My Tones". Then select the tone you want to save to the amp, select "Save to Hardware", and select which preset you want to overwrite.
-
No, it's not a bug. Line 6 considers it a "feature". Turn off the Auto Tone Load, in the app settings (bottom left corner of the app). That will stop the app from automatically loading a tone from the cloud when you start playing a song.

USB and DAW issues!! AMPLIFi TT - Help please...
Jaguar9080 replied to Henriktemberg's topic in AMPLIFi
Go to the downloads page on the Line 6 website.... http://line6.com/software/index.html Choose your product (Amplifi TT), Choose "All Software" and "All OS" and you'll get a list of everything available to download. The drivers, PC utility, and latest version of the firmware are all there to download. -
Ooops - deleted post "Where are My tones saved?"
Jaguar9080 replied to addimanseicher's topic in AMPLIFi
#4 is incorrect (as far as my own experience is concerned). As I showed with screen shots in the original post, I was able to create and save a new tone on my iPad with no internet connection. Then, after re-connecting to the internet, that saved tone was then synced to the cloud and then synced to my iPhone. Here's the screen shots again. The tone was created and saved in the Amplifi Remote app on my iPad, with no internet connection. Then, here is the same tone now on my iPhone: -
I think something is wrong with your amp. Are you leaving the usb connected to the amp and your computer all the time? Or perhaps the last time you did a firmware upgrade something went wrong. The amp itself has absolutely no idea when an update is available. Only the iOS/Android app and the PC Update utility do. The amp isn't a networked device and has no direct interface to detect or even install an update. Furthermore, I've always been given a choice as to whether to update the firmware or not. I can also choose to install an older version of the firmware just by selecting it with the app. As you can see here, I'm able to go back to Firmware 2.0.0 quite easily:

I would recommend the MKII Shortboard (not Express) if you want to be able to cycle through all of the banks and presets, as well as be able to turn effects on/off. The MKII Express can only cycle through the A/B/C/D presets of Bank 1.

Amplifi amp unable to connect via bluetooth post ios 8.3 upgrade
Jaguar9080 replied to psanchez72's topic in AMPLIFi
Working fine for me, on both my iPad Air 2 and my iPhone 6, both running 8.3. Did you try restarting your phone after forgetting the bluetooth device (before re-pairing)? -
You're best to stick to DSP effect pedals (digital effects). They work better with the Amplifi than analog pedals. I have a DigiTech iStomp and a Zoom G5 (both DSP effect pedals) and they work very well with my Amplifi 75. However, my older analog pedals break up really poorly with the 75. There's a lot of clipping and distortion (the bad kind), even at lower volumes. I found it really hard to reign in good tones with distortion and overdrive pedals. I even have some of the real-world pedals that some of the Amplifi effects and Zoom G5 effects are modelled after and they don't sound as good through the Amplifi as the modelled effects do.

I agree with you, it's a pain. All I'm saying is that not being able to do a hardware bank switch is a shortcoming of the AMP, and not the APP. It's the amp that won't switch banks, because it doesn't have the capability. The app is just a visual interface that allows you to interact with the amp. Even with the Shortboard MKII, which does allow cycling through all of the presets, and shows which bank and preset is selected, if I press the tone buttons on the amp itself I can only switch between A/B/C/D of bank 1. This is because that's the way the amp is programmed and designed. The Shortboard MKII doesn't perform a hardware bank switch, it again only acts as an interface to interact with the amp. Anyway, I'm glad I could help you out.
-
I think you're confusing the functionality of the amp, the footboard, and the app. The app lets you switch between any bank and preset by just selecting the preset in the app. Not being able to switch banks and cycle through all of the presets with the amp and the MKII Express is a limitation of the amp and that footboard and has nothing to do with the app. You can only switch between presets A/B/C/D of Bank 1 on the amp because that's the only buttons that are available. There is no button to switch banks on the amp. Same with the MKII Express. I agree that it's a shortcoming of the amp, and maybe it can somehow be addressed in a future firmware upgrade, but it has nothing to do with the app. If you need to be able to switch banks without using the app, I would suggest you consider getting the MKII Shortboard. As I said before, it's well worth it.
-
How so? You can select any of the 100 presets, as well as tones from the cloud using the app. You can also change, edit, and turn on/off any effects with the app. The app can actually do more than the Shortboard can do. The difference is, you do it with your finger instead of your foot.
-
The Shortboard MKII is only half the price of the Amplifi 75 ($269 vs $529 where I live) and it's well worth it if you want to be able to cycle through all of the presets as well as be able to turn effects on and off. And no, there are still 100 presets. The Amplifi series were designed to be used in conjunction with the Remote app. But yes, if you want to be able to switch on the fly without getting the Shortboard MKII you can overwrite bank 1 with your own presets.
-
I'm not sure what you're asking.... In the screen shot you posted you've selected preset C of bank 4. So you've switched to bank 4 just by pressing one of the presets in that bank. The tone button on the amp can only select the A/B/C/D presets of bank 1. There is no way to "switch" to another bank to control them with that button. The only way to switch banks outside of the app is with the Shortboard MKII, which can cycle through all 25 banks. Without the MKII your only option for selecting presets (other than bank 1 as noted above) is to scroll to the preset you want in the app, and then select it from there.
-
You can't switch banks with the FBV Express pedal. You need to get the Shortboard MKII if you want to be able to switch presets/banks from outside the app.
-
You can switch them in the app by selecting the screen in the menu that shows all of the presets. Just connect to your amp, select it in the app and then select the preset you want to use. They're also all already saved on the amp itself. That's where they're stored. So there's no need to save them to another bank. If that's what you're doing you're just overwriting other presets.
