  1. Yes, I think that is the same as one of the times I had volume loss, I was assigning delay mix to the foot pedal.
  2. I would try the vox - and disable cab sims on the firehawk patches- you may be pleasantly surprised- go into the effects return on the vox.
  3. Firehawk lost sound twice last night- you could switch patches banks and effects but absolutely no sound, needed to restart both times- this is not practical.
  4. Just ask for a powered full range monitor speaker with the amount of power you need. I am runninga Roland KC-350 - which is a keyboard amp, and getting good results.
  5. As the main function of the Firehawk is to be an amp/cab simulator, it is optimum to use it with a full range powered speaker unit (basically a powered monitor), but you can also get good results with amps as well. depending on what you have, you may have to send your firehawk out into the return on the amp (instead of guitar input- to bypass your amps preamp), or, possibly not use a cab simulator on the firehawk, because your amps speakers will have their own characteristics.
  6. I love using the android app on my galaxy tab, so portable, you can make tweaks or design patches practically anywhere.
  7. Firmware 1.1, with no bluetooth device connected. I am used to very little latency on my boss gt-10, which is 7 years old, so I was surprised with the lag in this device when compared to it. Keep using it, you will also hear transition noises when doing some switches.
  8. The big knob turned pink adjusts the master volume without altering tone.
  9. Yes indeed - maybe we can pull the Line 6 R&D department away from the Helix to address this problem
  10. I think you can get into a system setup screen by holding down the A & C buttons while booting up the firehawk - I think display brightness is one of the options.
  11. I had loss of output today while programming patches, which required a restart. It happened while I was assigning the delay mix to the pedal. I am running firmware 1.10
  12. I must have just found it right after you created it- good show Alex!
  13. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Firehawk-FX-Correction-latence-change-preset/726710-23508 Not surprising that it did not get addressed at firmware 1.1 - it only had 4 votes!
  14. The first few minutes I had my firehawk plugged in, I knew that this was an issue. I know that you others that are having the same issue want it fixed- it seems the way things get worked on at line 6 is through Ideascale. I know another password to remember is pain in the a$$, but I urge you all who want this issue fixed, to vote on it. I have not yet, but I will right now. Thanks, and lets get thing morphed into a useable piece of gear.

    Helix FAQ

No one is addressing this........IS THERE LAG BETWEEN SWITCHING PATCHES WITH DIFFERENT AMP MODELS? thanks.
  16. Yes, and switching between the acoustic models with a variax is almost seemless. I hope they don't forget about the Firehawk users, as everone marvels over the Helix, with it's superfast proccessing power
  17. Having just bought a firehawk, and liking some of the innovations it has, but upset about the excess lag between patch switches, if the Helix unit does not have that agravating lag and noise between switching patches, I will save up for one- it is 3 times the cost of what I just got. But, I will wait until there is a definate affirmation of no lag, as I have found it to be the deal breaker with multi effects. It will probably take at least a month for honest opinions to be surface on this forum, as there are still users on the firehawk forum claiming the lag is not really an issue.
  18. When you switch presets which have different effects/amps, there is lag(latency). I was hoping that this would have been addressed in the first update, but it was not(I guess the looper won out on ideascale). Anyways, as I wait for the lag issue to be resolved by the line 6 crew, I am trying to figure out workarounds for this issue. The lag is less noticable if you design patches which only make use of the top row of stomp buttons. If I cannot get the desired sound within that one patch, I have added a few external stomp boxes into the effects loop, as they have very little lag. If you absolutely have to switch between patches (which is why I use multi effects units in the first place), then, you will have to do the switch between patches before you normally would, and have to live with the noise created between the transition.
  19. The A/D lights of death has happened to others and is documented on this forum. You are right about the Variax- mine is a joy to play, and I am glad I got it. But back to the Firehawk- As I have money invested in it, and cannot return it, I am trying to find ways/workarounds which will enable me to use it in a live situation- be it, adding extra stomp boxes into the effects loop chain, or more thought process in patch creation. I am hoping the lock up can be narrowed down, and the source revealed, so if it cannot be fixed, at least it can be avoided. But for the time being, I will have to use my GT-10 live, as I have done for the past 4 years.
  20. I have been organizing patches and banks on the Firehawk, and was finding it hard to remember the locations. One thing that I am finding which really helps, is having the app open to the bank page on my tablet , which sits on top of my amp. That way by quickly glancing at it, I have a cheat sheet to patch locations. By the way, the Higher rubber feet on the back row work like a charm.
  21. http://line6.com/helix/ at 3 times the price of the firehawk - wondering if you get 3 times the product?
