  1. The one thing is for those of you who had to wait for your Firehawks, you won't have the hassle some of us had updating it to ver 1.10- mine would not update via USB, and took multiple times via bluetooth.
  2. Ok, so you have used the KC-350 with the Firehawk? If so, which hookup yielded the best results?
  3. Just got a Roland KC-350 amp. Anybody try one of these with the Fireawk yet. It is supposed to be a full range stereo amp. I would be curios on how the best way to hook it up would be, as it seems to have a fair bit of input options. Thanks in advance.
  4. I'm gonna buy another one- any Ideas on the best place to get a new one? Thanks in advance.
  5. I recently bought a second hand jtv-59, and have been learning a lot about it. I am a bit concerned about the battery. I had put the battery on the charger overnight and put it in the guitar. When I pressed the bottom button it showed 3 green lights, so I figured that the battery, being used a bit was just not able to hold a full charge. I planned to use the guitar at a gig on friday night, but after sound check, (I left the guitar plugged in), I went to hit the stage a couple of hours later, and the guitar was completely dead, with no lights displayed on the back side of the guitar when the button is pressed. I used an alternate guitar for the gig which I was more comfortable with. When I got home, I put the battery back on the charger, and paid more attention to what happened at charge time. When I plug the charger in, the light goes red, then goes out, I put the battery in, and then the light goes red, after a few hours, the light goes out. I read that once it is in the fully charged area, the red light will start to blink, mine never does that. Which has the problem, the battery or the charger?
  6. I had made this video on the 4 cable method when I first got my Firehawk: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mQvnC8EmfUY#
  7. I agree Silverhead, I have had problems with mine as well, but am sticking it out. For sure, there will be bugs with everything that is cutting edge, but the cool thing is that because line 6 is a company that actually welcomes input from it's users, and takes that input and tries to incorporate the ideas into the product, I am confident that in a little while, I will have mine set up how I need it to be.
  8. Yes, or just a setting within one of the effects/amps
  9. Nope, one by one is the only way...... so far. These topics have been covered in earlier threads.
  10. Don't think that will happen as Wayne created the patch on an amplifi unit, and will probably not go out and buy a firehawk so we can use his patch that was not really very good in the first place. This does bring up the point- are patches created on amplifi fully compatible with firehawk- I say no.
  11. the bad patch I had suspected was "she ain't pretty" uploaded by waynerb.
  12. I had the exact same problem- it was caused by a patch I downloaded from the cloud. Just figure out what patch you are running when it goes into the A/D lights of death, delete that patch and you are good to go. Here is what my problem looked like:
  13. When I tried to update my firehawk by bluetooth I got the same thing, I had to reboot both devices and hold down the bluetooth button on the firehawk so it lashed blue rapidly, then i went into the bluetooth setting on my device an turned it off then on and then paired them up again. When it finally updates via bluetooth, there will be a blue bar on the app, and a jumber counter on the firehawk will rise. The bluetooth light on the firehawk will be out.
  14. The Firehawk does not allow that.I wish it did,
  15. You already tried downgrading to 1.01 from USB using updater ver1.00 correct? When you boot your firehawk what shows up on the screen? If you cannot revert back to existing frimware by Vol/Tap at startup, you may have a defective unit. I am no expert, but when I did a system reset (I have done it 3 times) no matter what problem I was having, it went away.
  16. Sorry but there is no app for PC to edit tones, at least yet. Keep in mind this unit is brand new- some countries have not received any of them yet, so having one of the first ones, you are kinda like a beta tester. So is your problem that you cannot communicate with the Firehawk through your Bluetooth device? If that is it, try re-installing the app, or installing the app on a different device.. I could not upgrade my Firehawk with USB and a PC, but I was able to with Bluetooth.
  17. I just got the JTV-59 on the Memorial day weekend, so I have not had a lot of time with it. I updated it to the latest firmware, and downloaded workbench HD. But from what I can see, once you have your guitar models included in your patches on the firehawk, you are set. I did notice that there was no lag time when switching between the acoustic guitar patches in bank # 28 when using the variax, and did I mention they sound amazing! I cannot really answer your question about the sounds of the virtual tele vs a real one, but from what I have read, with the tweaking you can do on workbench HD, you can atain the sound you are looking for with a bit of tweaking. I just use Lester 1 for everything, except acoustic stuff right now.
  18. pol2711: In hindsight, my needs would have been better fufilled with an HD500X as well, but I pre-ordered mine from the US and got it rush shipped into Canada, so it was one of the first ones, if not the first one up here in Canada, and I had to pay a lot more for it because I wanted one so bad. I am far over the point of being to return mine, so I am going to stick it out, as I can see the potential in the unit, and with the Variax guitar I just picked up, a whole new world of guitar modelling has opened up for me.
  19. Did you already update the app to 1.1? If so, maybe you have no choice but to update without doing a save on tones. When I did my save it was before I updated my app and my Firehawk, so I cannot really say if that is the reason you cannot save. Maybe if you have already upgraded the app to 1.1, you can downgrade it to 1.0 and perform your save- then carry on with the update on both the bluetooth device and the Firehawk.
  20. When you do a firmware update on the firehawk, it will wipe the presets on the pedal to factory(so any custom patches you have saved to your Firehawk will be gone). When you update the IOS or android app, all your tones are still saved. So just make sure you copy any of the tones you have on the Firehawk to your bluetooth device, then perform the firmware update.
  21. Possibly the looper was always in the works, and the hardware was designed in such a way to allow for further expansion- processing speed and memory Have come a long way and dropped in price over the last few years (since the HD500X).
  22. Just checked the app - it is in bpm. Tap the pencil, then you will be able enter the speed.
