  1. I had a unexpected loss of volume a few weeks back at practice, still don't know what happened. I am not using the firehawk live until issues get resolved (my return period is long over).
  2. Yes, but it depends on the amp you are using, I use the four cable method on my valvestate marshall head, bug you have to have the effects level on it 100% wet, then no preamp bleeds into the mix.
  3. I think by normalizing - meaning volumes of each patch are around the same volume level, so there are not any super loud ones, or ones you can hardly hear.
  4. Hold on- I will get you the answer soon.
  5. I am standing pat until 1.1 firmware is released- if the lag issue is taken care of- I will keep my Firehawk, if not, I will put my time into another unit.
  6. All input is good- I guess the other variable is the size of the player's foot- LOL
  7. I don't think the extra height needs to be 2", but I'll let you know how mine work once I get them made.
  8. The problem is the relation between the two banks of buttons, elevating the unit cannot change that. - other pods units have a step between the bottom and the top buttons- raising the height of the top buttons will allow engaging them while clearing the bottom bank.
  9. Sounds good- But I would advise to wait for my version 1.1, as the initial set may need some bugs ironed out - LOL
  10. This is my biggest issue. Bumping a lower switch while attempting a back row switch has hung me out a couple of times. I am in the process of creating a "riser" maybe out of tubing, with an in-fill, that will fit over the rear switches and give them a little extra height. When I get it developed, I will post. Yes, I like the fuctionality, and sound of the Firehawk enough to explore a work-around for this problem. I am exploring the idea of a 2 pc sleeve with rounded top to fit snug over each of the upper buttons- the top would be rounded out, for accidental side access, and the front would have a "cave" to allow the color of the effect to glow out of it. it would be attached to the base of the button with a set screw. I work at a machine shop, so this all could happen.
  11. Ok, well make sure you have all your presets saved in the app, then do a system restore (you will lose all settings, as it puts it back to factory state).
  12. They probably could release the 1.1 firmware, but may want it to coincide with the updated app.
  13. Haven't heard of that one before- can you use the tuner on the Firehawk OK without the app running? If so, I would lean towards a re-install of the app.
  14. When my FH had a problem, and locked up, I blamed it on a patch I had downloaded from the cloud. When I would load only this particular patch, the A and B patch lights would go solid, and that was it, until I did a hard reboot. I have my suspicions that the app has problems communicating with the Firehawk when sync'ing patches if the first patch- HD rythym, has been changed to something else.
  15. I have just been deleting them, or putting a revision number beside them in.
  16. open the tone up in the editor, then save it to whatever name you want.
  17. Yes, in version 1.1 you can adjust the patch volume with the large knob (in pink mode), but as I understand, you will still have to normalize each individual patch (either this way, or another), as there is not a global volume level setting.
  18. I will try to do this "tap test" later today, but off hand from the little time I dd use the tap temp, it looked to me that it changed back to the default if the patch. I will let you know.
  19. If it is the video i am thinking of, watch it again and you will see no direct switches between patches with a note ringing. there is not only a delay, but no bleed from the old note to the new one, which makes the switching sound more abrupt.
  20. Punkster- Thanks for the offer- but it would have to be the 500X- If I decide to trade- I am eagerly awaiting the firmware upgrade. I hope Line 6 ships more out soon, as more people on this forum would help, as the only real practical information for this unit comes from users..... at this time.
  21. I know what you mean Dave, I am having some successes as well as failures in trying to make the Firehawk my number one choice. A few things for me, besides the ones you mentioned, are: - when you do a tone search on the app, or if you are tone matching, to have a filter which will only display "FH" tones, instead of the amplifi ones mixed in. I understand they wanted to have tones up in the cloud when the firehawk was released, so people could get a taste of downloading, but as time goes on, I am sure users will want the FH tones, and will try to search them out- this would help. - having a multiple tone load/dump utility either as part of the app or a standalone. I have had to do a system reset twice(which restores everything to factory), and although it enabled me to get to know the FH and the app a bit more, it was tedious. - a better player, which is more taylored to guitar players, with song pitch shift, and speed control (I am using another app for this, but the FH always reconnects when I switch back and forth from it- if the reconnect issue is addressed, this would be a non issue ). -Some global functions - like something to easily normalize all patches you select, so you could easily select all your clean tones, make them the level you want, then your rhythym patches, then leads. So in three steps, you would have all your like-patches always the same level, and boosts in volume would be the same, regardless of the amps used to make the tone. One thing to note, is that the Firehawk is a two-headed beast, it can be confusing on what things need to be changed on the FH hardware, and what needs to be changed on the app- as well as sync'ing between the two, to have something which is a usable improvement.
  22. It is in an instruction for volume, in the knowledge base- choose firehawk on the product list on the right side- you'll find it.
  23. I am thinking just the thinking outside the box to merge the 2 different colored leds to make another, which will be used for something different, is why I am glad I got turned on to line 6 products.
  24. Yeah, me too. By the sound of it, you will just have to engage the pink led's on the large vol knob and dial in the level, save by depressing the stomp button of the patch.
  25. I was trolling around on this site and it looks like one of the requested features for Firehawk will be addressed with version 1.1. There will be a channel level, to allow patches to be normalized in comparison to each other- when engaged, the big volume knob will turn pink.
