Can't see my model pack in my Pod XT device?
Triryche replied to Blipblop75's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Cool!! Glad you got it going. Flashing via MIDI crossed my mind, but since you had green for go on the USB firmware and drivers I didn't think that was the case. -
Make sure your app is version 1.1. When you updated the flash should have been 1.01 But basically you should be able to select AMPLIFi FX100 from the menu and a page with the hardware presets should come up. But AMPLIFi FX100 should display connected. From there you can select a preset and go into the editor. It does take a little bit for all 100 presets to populate the app. I would try "Forget this Device" and re-pair it. I'm wondering if forgetting and re-pairing is required when the firmware changes.

Can't see my model pack in my Pod XT device?

That is the issue. It needs to be flashed. If the Monkey cannot flash it, try a different USB cable and USB ports. -
Speaking of WiFi, I did have some weirdness one time with the app ( a couple versions ago) , not the same issue you have, but everything else on my WiFI was fine, rebooted my WiFi router and the app was fine afterwards.

Stereo Mix With Pod Studio Ux2
Triryche replied to ninen2001's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Did you find the check box for "Listen to this device" ? -
That's pretty much how the GX is, but I know where you're coming from, and I tried to do exactly the same thing too (but with a desktop pc and speakers) when I first started using the PODxt. And I did run the analog outs of my PODxt into my pc's internal soundcard for a while. But it is just the nature of USB ASIO interfaces in general because they are basically external soundcards. And you can do what you want like silverhead describes, it's just not optimal. And if you start recording, that is when you will likely want to go the optimal route.

Just for the record, your AMPLIFi Remote App is version 1.1 ? I would delete the app and re-download it. Log back in when you launch the app. Then "forget this device" and re-pair it and try again. Also make sure the phone stays in close proximity of the FX100 with no obvious obstructions between the phone and the FX100's BT antenna .

Can't see my model pack in my Pod XT device?

Can Monkey see it and has green ticks for firmware/drivers? If not, you might need to reflash you PODxt. If there are presets you tweaked and do not want to lose, back them up with Gearbox first. -

When you power up the PODxt, do you see the Metal Shop logo on the splash screen? -

You don't need to download any files to get the amps on the list you linked to. They are just available on your PODxt now. getting downloaded files to your PODxt is if you want presets from costumtone or that some has shared. -
+1 to Zap. This would work the same way with the PODxt/X3 by connecting your speakers directly to the xt/X3 and allows for direct recording to your DAW via USB. If you don't want to use headphones, even just a cheap set of computer speakers connected to the UX will sound better than laptop speakers.

I see your point. But in that situation, I personally would rather split and run my raw guitar signal to the amp, and then the rest flows to the main outs. I think it boils down to the intended usage. My perspective is coming from a home studio. I'm running the main outs to my mixer. If I want to jam, all the model/effects go to the main outs, I have no need to separate raw guitar signal to an amp while routing wet to the main outs. But I think the average user will find this configuration pretty slick. Headphones streaming your music while your amp is pushing air!!

UX1, Gearbox, Ableton 9

No prob, now get a riffing!! B) -
You are almost there.. In Reaper for Audio system select ASIO. Then the Input Device options should change to ASIO Driver. Then under Enable inputs select first 1:send 1 ---- lasts 4:send 4 Finally under Output range select first 1: Output 1 ---- last 4: Output 4 2: Output 2 Now when you arm a track to you should have the appropriate ins available. Your monitoring solution (Powered speakers/monitors and/or headphone) should be connect directly to the UX.

Download and run the newest version of Monkey to get everything up to date. If this is a POD Studio (black-faced) you likely should be running POD Farm 2.5x which also includes the plug-in (depending on when the unit was 1st registered). If this is an older Toneport (red-faced) you may only have POD Farm 1.12 (without upgrading). Once you get green ticks in the Monkey for PF, drivers and firmware, make sure you are selecting Line6 ASIO in Albeton as your device. Also make sure you are hooking up your speakers and/or headphones directly to the UX. Here's a vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIeJjy9Ruro from the Knowledge Base http://line6.com/support/page/kb -
Please be aware that the warranty is by region. http://line6.com/warranty/

If you purchase it in your region, it should be good to go.

How to create wet signal using podfarm?
Triryche replied to MotherGo0se's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
+1 to silverhead Reaper is free to try and has a whole lot of bang for your buck (IMHO). Not sure if Audacity directly supports ASIO yet, but I know in the past they did not but you could compile Audacity to incorporate ASIO. (Had something to do with Steinberg licensing). Also, in the POD Farm mixer view you can determine what the record sends are. When using proper ASIO drivers it is possible to capture the wet and dry simultaneously and then add the POD Farm plug-in (assuming you have POD Farm 2.5x) post processing, which is a typical workflow many use with the UX. -
You would not want to use the amp out to a PA. It's EQ'ed to go in the front of a guitar amp. Haven't personally tried it thru a PA, but sounds great thru studio monitors.

This got me hung up at first, not saying this is your issue, but this is what happened to me. I have a boat load of tunes in my i-Tunes library, they are in the cloud, no problem, I can play them from i-Tunes, I could see them in the AMPLIFi app but not play them. BUT, they did not physically reside on my i-Pad (until I dropped them from the cloud). In the AMPLIFi Remote app, go to settings and enable "Hide Songs Not On Device" and/air drop you library from the cloud to your device. Hope that's all it is. Post back with your findings.

Problem with my PODStudioGX

If you run the Line6 Monkey, do you have green ticks for everything? -
Using pod 2.55, with studio 1 free.
Triryche replied to gman125's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
I do not use Studio One so I do not know the exact specifics. But in general in your DAW you need to insert an instance of a plug-in, for PC look for VST. Then there should be a list of available VST's, look for POD Farm 2. If you can not find it, you my need to look in the preferences of Studio One to point and scan the folder where the POD Farm dll file is installed.
