  1. Yes, it is safe to connect.
  2. The license that comes with the UX is hardware enabled and will only work with the UX or within a DAW as a plug-in while the UX is connect. To BigChas's point, the Microphone would need to be ASIO compliant and you would need to you purchase a POD Farm 2.5 Hardware Independent license to have POD Farm recognize the mic.. But you could capture the signal from your mic into your DAW and use the POD Farm plug-in.
  3. AMPLIFi 75/150/TT: Press and hold the Master Volume knob and Tone button as you power up the amp.
  4. Cool!! Glad you finally got it going.
  5. My guess is the firmware is jacked from the incomplete flash attempt.
  6. I would back up your tones just in case. If there is a sonic change due to the fw, you can roll it back if needed.
  7. If you have no AMP model engaged and you are still getting the noise it may be a different issue, possibly a ground loop somewhere. If you can post a sound clip.
  8. I've seen other users report having an issue with the PC Utility and Windows 7. Perhaps a family member or friend has a pc or iOS device to try?
  9. Yes, the PC Utility will show a progress bar. The Update via the Utility only takes a minute or so. I would recommend trying another PC. Once you have the latest firmware you can update via Bluetooth on Android. Bluetooth updates take 30 to 45 minutes.
  10. Too hot means the signal is too strong for the input which will cause clipping. The PAD input attenuates the incoming signal.
  11. I would plug it into the Guitar Input first. If it is too hot and you are clipping coming in, then use the Pad input. I have active EMG's and a bass with active pups and have no issues with the regular Guitar Input.
  12. I get what you're saying. Plug headphones into the POD, you will likely hear the same noise on most of the high gain models. Especially if you crank the gain up or put a stomp model in the chain.
  13. Since I can't hear the noise I can't say for sure, but it is probably normal. Most high gain amps have a hiss/white noise when nothing is played. You can tame it by enabling the noise gate. Are you going into the front of your amp or an FX Rteurn?
  14. This hasn't happened to me yet, POD HD bean. But so far I have only created patches from scratch after the fw update. This weekend I will upload a pre 2.62 setlist and see if it glitches. If it does that may suggest an issue with pre 2.62 patches with the new fw.
  15. Not dumb, this website isn't always intuitive to navigate. Just for clarification, the app sychns with prrsets stored on the hardware.
  16. It likely won't make a difference. I don't have the Firehawk, but my FX100 does this, but I never did an A/B comparison on the length of the warp sound.
  17. If it is like a warping or warble sound, it is likely from a time based effect transition to/from a different timing.
  18. You should be able to reply to the ticket via the websote Go to your account: http://line6.com/account/ My guess is they requesting you to fill out your Computer Profile.
  19. I find it depends on what amp was originally in the AMPLIFi preset. If the AMP was from Type Clean, I have to do the click AMP then Type, Seems like there are no HD amps in the Clean Type.
  20. What version of POD Farm Platinum do you have? Do you purchase an i-Lok or Hardware Independent license?
  21. There's really no way to stop the synch process other than breaking the Bluetooth connection.. The 100 presets reside in the hardware, so when ever the app connects to the AMPLIFi it automatically starts the synch.
  22. I think ~ 1 minute is normal, that has been my experience with the FX100.
  23. I can confirm, when loading an AMPLIFi preset and then clicking the AMP block, there are only AMPLIFi models. To get to the HD AMPS: Click on the AMP block, then click Type, then select a Block Type and then you should see the HD AMPs
