I need some information to begin to diagnose your problem. What mode is each unit running in? Do you have a problem if you use only one unit without the other being turned on? Is this a new problem? Did it ever work right?

making the L6 Link go further then 50 ft.

So you can do al of that. You just cannot use L6 link but you can use regular analog connections. -
Wifi USB adapter dropping connection
dboomer replied to RONBLACK1's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Thanks for the tip. I'll look for one. I'm sure there are others that work. The issues is that it must be chip comparable and Apple is the only one officially tested for use. Don't make the mistake of buying an adapter that says it will work with Apple computers. That is not the same thing. -
M20d and Apple Airport Express
dboomer replied to oove's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Your link goes right to the list of recommended routers and shows Cisco, Belkin and airport express. However just about any other common router will work as well. I recommend the Belkin N-600 unit (about $80) because you can turn off the 2.4G service and run at 5G only. You'll likely have far fewer issues that way. You can use the dongle method, but dongles are low power and are subject to local interference much more so that using an external router. -
We have tested and tested the Trim-tracking feature and can never get it to respond in a way that causes level drops. I worked with a customer last week that though he was having this problem and it turned out that the level drops were in the speakers themselves (not Line 6) caused by drops in voltage from the wall. That's not to say that someone couldn't have hardware issues but there is nothing I can do about that over the internet. It is certainly possible that a mic pre could fail and drop the level but try as we may, we cannot get the software to cause that issue. Auto-trim couldn't be any part of this problem. So using it or not will only affect the distortion (and trim-tracking would address that) or extra noise in the system (so if the hiss doesn't bother you then there is also no problem). Setting the Trim correctly is the single most important setting in a mixer. If it is off then you effectively re-scale all of your controls. So if you try to adjust something there may not be as much adjustment possible as there could be if the trim was more correctly set. I guess if you don't make many adjustments then this may not be a problem for you. Trim tracking does have a limit at which point it would stop protecting you from clipping but even then it does not turn down the channel level. You have to hit the input with 200X the initial trim level to reach this point. So don't plug lightning bolts into the XLRs ;) ;)

making the L6 Link go further then 50 ft.
dboomer replied to gapchurch's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
You can plug mic cables into the input for probably 1000 feet. The limit is on the digital cable for L6 link. We are pushing 8 channels of audio in a system that is really intended for only doing 2 channels so there becomes a tradeoff of distance for cable length. What happens with distance is that eventually the little pulses that comprise the digital code being sent become too smeared and then become unreadable. Now if someone would only invent lossless cable ;) ;) ;) -

XD-V75 with TPB12 and Beyer TG-X55C
dboomer replied to badbiker's topic in XD-V Digital Wireless Microphones
You can turn up the output on the V75 receiver. The Line 6 wireless systems are all unity gain, so they simply put out whatever you put in. If the Beyer system seems louder then they have added gain somewhere between the input and the output.- 1 reply

G50 transmitter plastic housing broken
dboomer replied to sixxpounder's topic in Relay Digital Wireless
It's a pretty easy fix as the jack is part of a snap in assembly. You can get them online at Full Compass or you can have any Line 6 dealer order one for you. They are less than $15. -
More XLR inputs - pros and cons of 2 m20ds
dboomer replied to tdavidberry's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
I don't think the added latency will cause you much difficulty. The only time it is an issue is with the use on In Ear Monitors and then only with some performers. Otherwise a small latency is usually a benefit in a PA system. If you happen to also be using XDV wireless the latency there is 3 times more than you will be adding by adding a second M20d to your setup. There are 100,000 of them being used with no problem. -
V75 Handheld keeps muting itself
dboomer replied to GeneMaytak's topic in XD-V Digital Wireless Microphones
That shouldn't be happening if you have engaged the lockout switch behind the battery compartment. So if it is I suspect some hardware problem. I assume that you have tried the problem transmitter with more than one receiver to see if the problem stays with the transmitter? Otherwise it is possible that the individual receiver may have a problem. -
Problem with M20D display

There's no way to know without seeing the unit. I would recommend setting up a service ticket. -
Usb Dongle Wich One?
dboomer replied to Scenograf's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
There are lots of ideas from IdeaScale that are being looked at and worked on. Some will end up in new products and some will be added to existing products. It just appears that nothing is happening because it can take many months or even a couple of years to implement it and fully test it. Only then will it revealed. -
It may have never actually materialized, I don't see it. There's a lot of info in the FAQ. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/live-sound/relay-digital-wireless/ A lot of it applies to all line 6 2.4G wireless even though it may be listed under a different title.

The 1/4" line inputs have a smaller set of available presets. It was assumed that devices plugged in here would already be somewhat processed (mp3 players, keyboards, drum machines, etc) and not require much additional processing. To have all possible presets available you need to plug not inputs 1 - 12.

Line6 P180 Antenna Placement
dboomer replied to voicemaster's topic in XD-V Digital Wireless Microphones
When you are in low power mode you are effectively dropping the output power from 10mW down to 3.6mW. So if someone is also covering the antenna you don't have a lot leftover. Just switch the power back to normal and you should be fine. -
No, I'm trying to help you solve a problem. Hardware sometime fails and that's why there is a warranty, and while having a hardware failure is unlikely, having hardware failure from a second unit is highly unlikely. It is much more likely that you have a system problem and that is why it has happened twice. Since I can't see the system and you have provided very few facts there's really not much I can do from this end. If you would like some help I need the answers to all of the questions that I have raised.

I would recommend not using any power conditioners except for professional ones like SurgEx. Its possible that the conditioner could be contributing to your problems. How have you determined that the popping is coming from the mixer and not being caused by something else in the chain? Can you make the popping happen at will or is it just random? Are you using Line 6 speakers and do you have the system hooked up via L6 link? If so then the use of non AES cables can cause popping.

Without having it to examine I can't think of a reason that would cause the problem.

G50 relay dropout every 15 seconds or so
dboomer replied to AdamBradders's topic in Relay Digital Wireless
Sounds like it needs to be looked at by the service department. Clink on the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page and follow it to international service. Then fill in a service ticket.
