  1. Hi Boris This is the "user" forum and not a direct line to those you need to speak with. You'll need to open a service ticket to talk to Line 6. I'm sure they will be happy to help you.
  2. It certainly makes life a lot easier and is the way to go when possible.
  3. RF2 is a special case and I would advise using it only if RF1 becomes problematic. RF1 is pretty much set and forget in almost all cases. Their effect on 5G devices is the same but very minimal unless they are physically very close.
  4. Putting a transmitter right next to a receiver will usually overwhelm the receiver's input. But it is easily remedied by using paddle antennas and moving them away from the router.
  5. I can't check those serial numbers as they were shipped directly to EU. You'll have to check with your dealer.
  6. Being inside a box would be difficult for any mic because you are likely getting reflects off the back wall and ceiling right back into the front of the mic. In this case my best guess is the pattern probably won't make any difference at all.
  7. I'm not positive from your description ... are you running everything in RF1 mode? You should unless you can absolutely guarantee there is no wi-fi in the room. If you cannot maintain that or you just aren't positive then RF1 should work for you. Turning away (so that you are no longer in line of sight) or having someone stand in the way by themselves shouldn't take you off the air. They will cut your range some. So when you are looking at it (straight line of sight) are you getting 3 bar (or better) triangles next to the "A" and "B" in the LCD window? If you are running in RF1 and you are getting 3 bars or better then you should open a service ticket and get it checked.
  8. Lotta misinformation in that thread. :) I doubt that the V70 capsule is the problem. I have made controlled measurements side by side and the V70 always beats the sM58 for feedback rejection by better than 3 dB. But I will give you that all venues are different. But if you are having feedback problems outdoors I suspect something in the monitor chain isn't right. You shouldn't have feedback issues out of doors. I will give you that switching to a Beta58 capsule does make a difference in the patterns between the two mics ... but again depending on the exact conditions you cannot state that one pattern or the other will always perform better. It just depends.
  9. Here's a simple and cheap way ... you'd have to change the RCAs to 1/4's http://www.volutone.com/CALRAD-10-105-STEREO-INLINE-LINE-LEVEL-AUDIO-ATTENUATOR-P8778.aspx
  10. Re the feedback manager. That is normal operation. The "red" mode is intended for speech only so when you play music through it you are hearing artifacts. Switch it to "green" when you use music as a source.
  11. So that means that your mixer will overdrive the input by +12 dB on max peaks. The relative position of your controls doesn't really mean anything. If you insert a 15 dB pad in the line that will take care of it. If you overdrive the input you will go into hard limiting, which basically is the same as clipping sonically. You won't like that :)
  12. It will work great. You must limit the maximum input voltage to the beltpack at +8 dBu (peaks). So you will either need to turn a pro mixer down a bit or add an inline 15-20 dB pad.
  13. It's unlikely that you have 6 dead analog outputs, but possible. Have you tried restoring the factory default instead of any custom presets you may have made?
  14. Officially Line 6 would not recommend using any power supply that would provide voltage above 9.9 Vdc.
  15. Do you have rev 1.2 installed? There was a bug in some earlier versions that sometimes caused the outputs to think the mute button had been pressed on startup. In those versions just pressing the mute button on and off cleared the issue. I would also advise making a new setting from scratch just in case you have buried a mute command somewhere deep down inside your current setting.
  16. Yes you can update the firmware in any Line6 wireless products. But you MUST use a V75 receiver as the interface to the computer. Updates are done by downloading Line 6 Monkey updater.
  17. Unfortunately there's almost no way to diagnose an issue like this over the net. It needs to be looked at by the service department to determine the cause of the issue. With any electronic gear the most likely time a hardware issue will develop is during the first few dozen hours of operation.
  18. Possible the receiver has a mechanical problem. Or possible something else changed as well. Was the receiver sitting on a metal surface? How close to a wall was the receiver? When you got the dropouts did all green RF LEDs go off? Did you get any red LEDs? Line of sight is equally important with both systems. When you don't have it you lose range. Maybe a little maybe a lot. But even if you lose range and you have enough then your signal won't be affected at all. As long as the receivers are horizontal it should make almost zero difference which way they face.
  19. There is no known issue with the firmware that causes and drops in level. It is possible that errors in operating the mixer could be a cause so that needs to be ruled out first. Once that is decided that basically leaves either external conditions ( faulty cables or problems with the source gear) or the mixer has a hardware issue. If the mixer itself developed a problem then it will need to be looked at by the service department.
  20. I have only seen something like this happen one time. Reinstalling the firmware fixed that problem so give it a try. Otherwise it will need to be checked out by the service department.
  21. Are you running the newest firmware? There have been a number of upgrades over the history of V70. I'd need to know the technical details of your setup and the venue to offer much help. But it's usually easily solvable.
