  1. Hey everyone! Long time HD Pro user and fan here. So this unit has now been retired to a specific project I'm part of and I was wondering if it's possible to rename banks using the edit software? (Not just the individual patches/presets or the setlist, but the numbered bank that is made up of 4 patches). By default these are assigned number but the act I'm part of now is very FX heavy so it would be great to customize and dedicate a bank of 4 presets to a specific song and have that also show up on my mk2 floorboard for live shows. Anyone who can answer this will be rewarded with a crisp digital high 5 from yours truly! Thanks in advance!
  2. I literally cannot get a single good clean tone. Even the ones of customtone sound like absolute lollipop. And when its slightly average its still insanely quiet so i have to do something to make it louder but then it becomes distorted. Any help? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sz-grkFv8Ac. This tone at 0:30 is what im looking for.
  3. Hi everyone, really hope someone can help. I best start with my live setup... Krank Revolution series 1 head Pod HDPro Marshall 4x12 Ibanez RGD 7 string Basically, I'm looking for any help getting a high gain, dual amp sound. I literally just read that the best sound for the setup I'm using would be to use pre amp models instead of full, but I won't have chance to test this theory til our show on Saturday. At the moment, I'm using the Angel F-ball with parametric EQ in front (I've got the usual tube screamer, compressor, gates etc as well) with no cab sim for the first chain. Second part of the chain I'm using the Uber (pretty much same setup on the f-ball with different gain, eq and bias settings). It all sounds pretty thin and fizzy and super processed. That heavy saturated, dual amp Arch Enemy style tone is similar to what I want to achieve. Thoughts on whether pre would be better? My clean channel is also dual (clean) amps (no cab sim), but it's still super quiet. Lead is similar to my rhythm channel with more mids, tiny bit more gain, delay and a chorus. I was looking into the 4 cable method and using the tone from the Krank (best scenario), but I don't have a midi foot controller to be able to change patches and amp channels. Plus that thing is LOUD... Another thing I was going to mention was the whole delay trail thing while switching channels, but I guess that's something I'll have to live with. I do miss having that little trail off after a solo when switching back to rhythm. Bit too static with the HDPro :( Anyway, if any of you can make sense of this immense mass of words, it would be a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge help! Thanks in advance!
  4. First time messing with the HD Edit software, trying to create a patch with a harmonizer. But I want the harmony to be a half step, to achieve an affect similar to what you would hear in a Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza song. I assume the effect I would use would be the frequency shifter, but how would I set it to get a half step harmony?
  5. HI So Im currently running through a pod hd pro through my 5150 and using a line 6 shortboard MKII(not the express). I have no clue how to use the looper function. There is no block in the actual unit and no "looper" button on my pedal. I have read that you CAN still use the looper function with this pedal and that its a global function(thats why there's no block in the chain). I need some help asap. Thanks!
  6. I use POD hd Pro and i'm about to buy some new gear so i will be running > line 6 shortboard 2 > hd pro > rocktron velocity 300 > cab forgive my dumbness but what kind of cables are best for this and where would they go i.e. instrument and speaker cables also if i was to add a power conditioner how would i hook that up and again what type of cable. and last but not least if you use the live method above is it still better to keep hd pro on studio setting? cheers guys
  7. Over on the Ideas page I posted this; A possible solution to expand existing units and provide us with all the functionality we are requesting. Please contribute any ideas you have for such a device. Think as big as you like! http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/POD-HD-ULTIMATE-Module/502816-23508
  8. Hey guys, so I just purchased a Pod Hd Pro Rack unit. I wanna run it through a live rig and all I have is a discontinued Line 6 Mk1 Bogner head, a peavey 5150 slanted cab and an EC1000. The head only has a preamp out and power amp in. Now I have seen many videos of the HD500 live setup with the 4 cable method but the rack unit doesnt have the same outlets as the 500. I have a few questions about all this. 1. What cables should I be using specifically for the 4 cable method(stereo, mono cables? mix of both?) and how do i connect them without hiss or airy noises( do i need to mod something on the pod hd as well to link with the cab better?) I just changed tubes so i know its not the head or anything digital thats wrong. The speakers in the cab are new as well. 2. The loudness of the amp reduces when i plug in the pod hd( also all hiss and airy noise is gone). Is my amp not suitable to power the pod hd? 3. finally is there a way to bypass the effects from the head and just use the power from the amp to run my pod hd's effects? This noob would really appreciate your help. Thanks guys!
