  1. Anyone have any slick tricks for doing a boosted lead channel, when using a hi gain tube amp with lots of gain on the rhythm patch? Basically looking for the best way to keep the same basic sound as my rhythm, but boost the crap out of the volume for solos... E
  2. Hey Folks! So I have this one guitar solo from a japanese band called "the GazettE". Their lead guitarist has got an awesome guitar tone, which kicks lollipop in my opinion. I am trying to get my tone near to the following guitar solo, but I cant get something good out of my HD500X it. I know. That's sad. Maybe someone, who is more into their HD500X, can replicate the guitar sound? I would be really thankful, if someone is willing to do so. Since you're working on it, I will be even willing to pay you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbRHGe0_8sQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-EphIMS40A Its especially the guitar from the "second" part of the solo, which is played by the guitarist Uruha. Greetings, Nalfeyn.
  3. Hey guys, Just released this new Helix video. I really wanted this to be a solid rock track with a few different types of tones. I initially wanted to use a marshall amp model but I ended up using the Solo amp models exclusively for the guitars. The midrange on those amps is just insane! For the bass I used the Tuck n' Go amp with the Obsidian 7000 drive pedal. After some tweaking with that pedal I found that for me it works best when the eq is set completely flat. I'm using some very nice IR's from OwnHammer that are quite new and unique! It's the MR82 which can be found here: http://www.ownhammer.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=179 It's based on a Marshall 4x12 tall cab. Definitely check those out if you dig the tones. Here is the song! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Sey4dPl_LU
  4. Hi. Does someone have some kind of a "4 channel"-preset (or more), with a nice and clear clean, a warm bluesy low-Gain sound, a Marshall 800 like mid-Gain and a shredding high-Gain sound + solo-option. I heard it is possible to configure one preset that way to be used as a highly flexible multi channel amp. I would use your preset as a default construction for finding my basic tones in just one preset. Warm regards, Sascha (Please excuse my poor English. I'm from Gemany)
  5. I am having trouble cutting through the mix during my solos. I play in a 4 piece (drums, bass and 2 guitars) playing indie rock. I generally cut through just fine and in fact get regular comments from musos in the crowd complementing my tone. The problem comes in when I hit the 'solo button'. The result is either ear bleedingly loud or non existent. My rig is JTV 59 into an HD500 into an L3m. The nearest I have got to the boost I'm looking for is kicking in a screamer at the beginning of the chain to add a bit of grit, a studio eq after the mixer block with a 2db boost and a digital delay before the reverb. All these are turned on and off with one of the footswitches. What do you guys do to melt your audiences faces but keep their eardrums intact?

Today im just messing around with it and created a dual amp patch where i can switch from amp a to amp b. While creating it after inserting all the fx, i need to leave 2 blank space ( tge fx block in 500 edit software) as it stated DSP FULL please reduce usage. Anybody experience this and is this a common thing for 500x? e. Anybody experience this and is this a common thing for 500x? Then after successfully deleted the 2 blank effects i discover lost of volume although all the amps A and b cranked up.. i need to put the master knob to full in order to get a decent level of volume. But when i tested other patches downloaded from customtone and few my patches of my own everything is normal except my new created dual amp patch. Lastly, during soloing may i know what u guys use to boost up the volume? Is there any clean boost fx in the 500x. Thanx Reza
