Guys if i remember correct there is an editor also yes?
-
I am with Duncann, I hope there will be effects. Though, my vote is for a Dumble.
-
Best way I use it, is after the amp, set low pass at 21% with Q at 21 to 18% and HP from 90% up to 82% (sometimes so low) and Q at 0%

Line 6 gets competition from Vox

Although I find it more beauty than any of the current JTV or Standard -
Yeap, you can adjust it. With the Helix , near the cable of the USB there is an alen, it is for this adjustment. TO adjust, simply look at the right side of the helix, and you will find the hole.

Thanks a lot guys, that is an awesome feature!!

If for example I want to put more trail to the delay?
-
There is a small improvement at the amps, and a huge at the effects. Nothing that a good EQ can not fix on a HD 500
-
You can either use it with or without a distorted amp. Depends which distortion you prefer more, just make sure that you will use a bit of one, and a bit more of the other!. what i observed is that i like to cut up to 100-120 hz from the fuzz, and it sounds awesome!!

Can someone explain me which presets of helix are which songs?
-
Can someone please tell me what settings, amp and what fx are used on this?
-
...thanks... :'(

Does anyone knows if the DSP chip is changeable or it is like pod hd? (with the algorithms to hit red even if a better chip is installed)?

Delays: if you use them before the amp, make sure the mix is pretty low and repeats pretty high. If you use them after the amp, make it vice versa. That is the best way to avoid the delay jump on you. Also, it is a nice way for recording, to put after the amp a mid focus eq with low pass at 20% (around 100 hz) and q arround 24%, high pass at 90% and q at 0%.

I know the feeling mate, I also try to recreate my ''ain't talkin bout love'' from my pod hd500, that runs with a single amp but has 8 effects, and I run out of dsp on the 1st path... Pretty let down .

Phil_m, we they are not 4 persons only, http://line6.com/support/topic/17526-brand-new-helix-with-display-faults/and you comment on this one, we are more, and also there are users on the TGP that have the same prob but refuse to sent it back , either cause they believe it is minor problem, or because they afraid that the new helix they will get for replacement will be worse than the one they already have. I agree with you that there is always a risk to any electronic device to be a lemon, but at my 10 years with line 6 I found that the risk is 50-50, rather than 10% of the other companies... Now why I get L6 items? Cause for the price they are the best, and they can connect to each other, and have some abilities that only the L6 has. I don't hate L6, I don't want to cancel my replacement, but it should be better if the QC would improve.

I am also from HD500 to Helix. Keep your HD and get yourself a torpedo cab. My 2 cents.
-
Though, I am not sure what effects you gonna use with so many inputs... (if any)
-
I already sent mine back, awaiting for a replacement after 2 days.. Hope the new one will be better...
-
check on mine ''the first time'' it uses a 5150 and sounds like a jcm 900
-
Thank u mate, I already did it. It is on the faulty scribble strips. I regret the unit...
-
last one. 1.0.4 something i think. anyway, tomorrow i am sending it back.
-
Thank you Nico, that is exactly what I want to say!!! Duncann, I did exactly as you said, and I consume all DSP on path 1... is also the DSP of my unit malfunctioning??
-
Sounds awesome!!!

path 1:phaser, tube drive,1 amp &cab, echo, and no more.. to put the gate and reverb i used the second path.
