I don't know Duncann, I set the ain't talking bout love from the pod hd 500 to helix, and it required 2 (!!!) paths to become full, I don't know, I think it is not so big.
-
I also still love my pod HD 500, even after owning a Helix. The Helix maybe sounds a bit better, but it lacks effects and options on the effects.. The DSP is not so huge as ppl believed, it is just a bit more than the 500X.. I still prefer the HD more. Maybe by time I will like the Helix more, (when I get a good unit).

I did the same thing, sent ticket to L6 and inform Nakas (local L6 representative) And will sent it back asap. I also loved it, and I hope to get a replacement soon enough, I will have time for less than 2 months to play with it.
-
Open a ticket for a replacement. Don't lose time mate !
-
Thank you, thank you :) :P

All the HD or M13 effects. Why to get less than all? It is a high end device, it should have more than it's predecessor!
-
Thank you!

Thank you Duncann for your good words-hopes. I hope to what you say to be true. Anyway, have a nice year Duncann, take care, and keep up the great music you are producing!!

It is a brand new device. A high end one... Supposed to be. Will send it back to get another, no reason for ticket. If the new will be same, I will get a refund and move to an AXE. It is a total let down....
-
Yes me too.. Just received it today... Same lollipop...for a top high end device it is pretty failure huh?
-
Hm... My washburn HB30 with the 36 anniversary , a divided by 13, a dimension chorus and a tube delay.

What Is Better?jtv Or The Old Variax 700?
arislaf replied to arislaf's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
On this I have to disagree.. I understand the preferences, but, the old variax had no delay when switching pickups or models.. Other than that, yes it is improved. -
DI, on the topic, the next shipment of Helix on thomann and geek supplier Nakas will be next next year January 8-12. Again will be limited numbers or a good big number of units? I want 1 before february

So guys what is best? 880 pro, 770 pro of 80 ohm, 770 pro of 250 ohm or the 990 pro?
-
That confused me now.. I can say that helix sounds more like a true amp and more close to the virtuoso tones u go for, but pod is standing more good to my ears ( although it lacks the full tone of helix). Great job duncann, thanks a hell man!!
-
Duncan don't get me wrong, but I can not hear any difference from pod or helix to your recordings. Both sound awesome on your hands.
-
Duncann is correct, 4 is the max.

Guys 3 very important questions , and please quote me for the answer. ( i don't know if you answer already before, I am missing onboard (seaman is my job) ) 1) Is still the amp and cab dep parameters available? 2) Is the bogner presence work as the normal bogner now? (like a wide eq?) 3) Is the treadplate any close to the sound of the true treadplate? Thanks anybody who will reply in advance.
