  1. No, this signal indicator is just for the microphone input and lights up if there is an input signal detected
  2. As Bjnette pointed you can find a lot of patches in customtone. Most of the jazz and fusion patches are made for the HD500, but these can also be used with the HD PRO X. Note that some tweaking will be necessary because you most likely have a different guitar, different strings etc. But the most important issue is, you probably have a different perception of the tone you are after. Personally I mostly use the Mesa(treadplate) and Soldano(SLO) models for fusion tones and the Requisite (Vintage Pre) for Jazz. (the Vintage Pre is a preamp and can be found in the effect section under the effecttype "pre & EQ") Good luck and let us know the results
  3. You can set the desired footswitch behaviour in the utility section of the general setup. There you can set the FS-mode to either ABCD of FS5-8. See the manual(advanced guide) for a complete explanation.
  4. Check out this link, it will give you the answers you are looking for: http://line6.com/support/topic/2677-pod-hd-pro-fcb1010-midi-foot-controller/
  5. I cannot be sure as I don't have access to the source code but being a former software developer I guess the following issue prevents them for making this change: The field type they use for editing/displaying the percentage is a numeric one, this prohibits the use of alphanumeric characters such 1Khz (for example). Secondly, the percentage field is likely of the type Signed Char(8-bit). This means the value range is -127 to +127. so using 1000 instead of 1Khz would not fit into the fieldtype. To solve this they have to make serious changes to the software of the POD itself and also to the HD edit programs. Again, I cannot be sure this is the issue but maybe LIne 6 can comment on this and explain the issue themselves (would be nice to know)
  6. When performing, how do you select tones? C. Four present for the entire set and A,B,C & D four clean, crunch, overdrive and lead How do you manage your presents before a gig? B. No management, normally I use the same patch throughout the gig (with the above mentioned four presents) How do you use setlists (if at all)? D. Have specific setlists for different types of guitar (solid body, semi-hollow bode, steel string acoustic, classical and archtop). Furthermore I have different setlists for recording (full amp models and studio/direct output) and Live (pre-amp models and combo Poweramp output) Buy hey Igloo: Why do you want to know this anyway?
  7. To my knowledge there is one exception: The master volume is global and not preset specific
  8. Remember, yesterday was April 1st :)
  9. Just click on "receive selected" in the upper left corner of HD edit, this will reload the original patch from your device. (make sure you gave selected (highlighted) the patch you want to reload)
  10. Well, I have the HD Pro and I use the old shortboard and that works very well. As the HD pro X is, apart form the more powerful DSP chip, the same a the HD Pro I assume the old longboard should work.
  11. You will always have an output signal even without an amp selected.(that's part of the POD's internal architecture) However, if you find the signal too strong, you can use the mixerblock to lower the output level
  12. You cannot use footswitched to do that but as far as I know you can control the amp's drive knob with the expression pedal. Simply use the controllers section of HD edit: select the amp, choose drive as parameter en set the desired min and max value.
  13. OK, I checked this for you on my POD HD PRO. Except for the master all settings show up as you mentioned. The master however is at 1 o'clock (about 65%)
  14. For me it is not accurate enough. I use a Korg DTR-1 rack mount tuner
