I'm not sure I understand what you mean/need, but it you're going 1/2 step down from standard tuning to Eb, and then vCapo 2 frets up (1 step up)? That ends up just being the same as going 1 fret up (1/2 step up) from standard tuning, right? Then why go to Eb at all? Just use vCapo 1 fret up or a real capo on 1st fret! My first JTV was a 59 and I loved it! Traded it for a 69 just for the looks...I'm more of a strat guy than LP

When I first bought the HD500 I was using it with a bose L1 compact. It sounded nice. These bose systems are very good, but I guess it all depends on what kind of use you have in mind... The HD will always sound good on some nice speakers/PA, you just gotta set the presets to it. You should use the full amp settings, though it's not a rule...you might find some pre's more interesting/better for what you want. I now use mine with a L3t and it sounds great to me. I even use it live like an amp and have the sound man mic it, cause when I went direct XLR to foh I'd always get significantly different results from venue to venue. Sound man kept saying "this preset is much louder/brighter/muddier/lower/....er/.....er/......er than the one before", and I was always like "WTF!? how can that be??? It sounded just perfect on my L3t!!!", so I started taking my L3t along and have them mic it...not it's all thumbs up!! :D

I guess you're using some translator to post here...the posts are not in great english! Anyway, what exactly is wrong with the model knob? Some times it may get too pushed in and won't activate the modeling anymore...Try pulling the knob out and see if it works just pushing on the metal part. If it works just put a small piece in the knob hole so when you insert it back again it won't go in as much as before. That should work, IF it's not some electronic malfunction

Jtv-59 & Tronical Tuner
pugdealer replied to Kcharriq's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Am I the only one finding the tronical tuner a bit inaccurate?? I never tried or seen one live, but from the videos on YT I find that when people make it tune the guitar, and they strum a chord, it sounds a bit off! I'm very very careful when tuning my guitar, and if any string is slightly off tune I'll notice it...I mean, I take my time tuning the guitar and making sure every string is just right, and the tronical doesn't seem to be as accurate as me... It has its advantages, live, etc, but what I'd really like to see on my JTV was an auto-tune function. Have you guys seen the peavey AT-200? DAMN that sounds sooooo perfectly tuned when they activate auto-tunning... -
Hey guys Quick question... I've got an HD500 and may upgrade to a 500X, so I was wondering if my saved preset bundles will go directly to the HD500X...I guess they will, right?

Bass Sound With Jtv + Pod Hd500
pugdealer replied to pugdealer's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
I've tried doing alt tunings on the JTV but it warbles all over the place, specially on the lower notes...it's like it can't "hear" the string properly and then the note goes all over the place! -
Hey guys I've been trying to emulate a bass sound with my JTV thru my HD500, and the results have actually been "acceptable"! I'm using th flip top amp on the POD and either the bass octaver or using the pitch glide to get down an octave. On the JTV it seems the chime-3 works very well for the purpose! Anyway, I was wondering if any of you had tried to do this and got decent results so you could share it! Thanks!

Jtv-69 Neck Issues - Fixed?
pugdealer replied to gene1714's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
I bought a 69 2 years ago...neck had issues, traded it for a 59, enjoyed it, sold it, got a 69 again, neck feels right now...I think they fixed it up, besides, you can always swap the neck for a strat neck anytime, and you can't do that on a 59! I'm very happy with my 69 now!!! GO for it -
my guess is that it won't install on an OS that old
-
I was expecting a "real" amp, something for "all" guitarists, and suitable for live situations...that's the impression their teasers gave me! I'm not buying, which is kinda good, cause I was afraid I might want it and had to cough up the money...I'm pretty happy as I am, with the dream rig! This seems more like a "toy" to me than a guitar amp
-
I believe they will fix all these issues soon. There's been a lot of complaints about 2.0 and line 6 tends to hear its customers and make them happy so 2.1 should be out soon and the popping and other issues will go away. I don't think they'll be selling a jtv-**X to overcome the issues...but I might be wrong

1) No. I've determined it happens much more noticeably on patches with delay(s), and only when JTV is connected via VDI, not jack. 2) No, didn't say anything to them as someone already had, so I'm just waiting as you... 3) Yes, consistent in frequency but not intensity! Previous FW for the POD also seem to diminish the popping, mostly noticeable on patches with delays as I said...
-
If you wanna have a dry/dirty signal you can have just the VDI to the pod for dirty and the jack for clean. You would just require 1 POD even. Split the chain in two and have the signals separated between left and right, and have the input 1 on variax and 2 guitar! two pods at once could be synced over MIDI!
-
it's possible, though the 1/4" would follow whatever guitar the pod with the VDI would have... Why do you ask? what would be the point?

Stagesource And Hd500
pugdealer replied to AlanRoll's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
I've actually submited to ideascale the ideia of having the MODE shown and controlled from the POD...it would be much more practical! The 500 and the 500x function in the same way in regards to the stagesource speakers, so you just have to manually select the mode on the speaker and then save it on the POD...you should be running the latest firmware on the pod, which is 2.2 in order to do so! -
Hey guys! I've been successfully controlling my POD via MIDI from my computer using Cubase. I change patch, effects within that patch, control expression pedal, etc... It all works fine, apart from 1 thing! Whenever the track stops on cubase, the POD takes the expression pedal value to zero, without it being ordered by cubase! I can't figure out why this happens!!! I've tried using logic and other DAWs, I've tried using previous firmwares on the pod, but it always does the same thing!!! Can anyone shed some light on this!?!?

you're welcome...anytime ;)
