  1. Whaaaaat? You described exactly what makes the 700 disgusting. That fake PRS look that is worse than those undisputable ugly PRS firewood. I am always embarassed for people playing this horrible furniture of the 80s and ninetees (PRS) on stage. They're simply awkward. They do not even look like guitars to me, probably like mutants born from a tête-à -tête between a one legged cello and a bedside lamp. I never understood this and I never will. If - by any law - I would be forced to play these boards only, I would quit playin. And JTVs look like guitars. And its better to imitate a strat or a paula than this painfully designed disaster. BTW: The one, only and ever beauty ist the Gretsch Jupiter Thunderbird. There you see a bold, timeless and cool guitar.
  2. The 700 is an ugly shaped piece of wood. Even the 300, 600 and 500 looked better. The 700 has neither style nor soul. They look like a log of wood for high school posers. I was definetely shocked when they came out - an absolute design failure. The JTVs, while I prefer the 69 for her surf style look, are real guitars with even that: Style and soul.
  3. The missing PDFs are here. hd500 dsp test summary (table).pdf HD500 Effects DSP Usage Estimations (collapsed version 1 page).pdf
  4. I have this Mission Engineering pedal and it is of very good quality. Before I used it I had connected a BOSS EV-5 which worked excellent. So I guess you can use any expression pedal with a max resistance of 10kO. Volume pedals for guitars won't work because they're usually at a high resistance (~1mO).
  5. Depends on the way, you look at it. You can define - as you wrote - four different voicings per channel (pre amplifier and power amp topology) and change the posibilities for your DT completely. But with the channel switch you choose the last selected voicing. And here you can select the different voicings with the voicings switch instantly. This will become the next last saved voicing.
  6. Oh! If you bought the HD for pitch glide only you could have spared a lot of bucks. For the style you mentioned ther is a lot of stuff like weird delays, reverbs and excellent fuzzes on the HD.
  7. The HD pitch glide is an excellent tool for extreme bending in a solo. For polyphonic pitching there is nothing better than an actual Whammy V for your pedal board.
  8. Yayy, johnnyayyy, buuut some are just more interested in caring for their problems, than looking for solutions ;-)
  9. It's supposable or nearly obvious that they cannot do it. If they use a complete new code, then structures, data types, classes and everything like this changed. For the old models they would have to implement a converter in the firmware for the price of loosing processing power.
  10. Strange. It works here. Probably you should try to set the input "guitar" only. Or there is something like an USB conflict. Try to pull the USB cable from your POD.
  11. Why don't you use the usual 1/4" guitar in on your pod like with every other guitar?
  12. 5/5 I use the magnetics for an ebow. You cannot get the interaction with the PU on the models.
  13. Thanks for the kudos. I'm glad somebody helped my advice. Yes, and I will try to balance the string volume like you did. They sound good in your sound bits.
  14. BTW: I changed the tone pot to 470k and the cap to 22n and set the pot to 8.5.
  15. For Position 2 do the following: 1. Grab the neck PU and draw it somewhat towards the bridge 2. Grab the bridge PU and draw it to the old position of the neck PU. 3. Grab the PU from step 1 again and draw it to the original first position of the bridge PU. 4. For this PU edit the value for position to 1.7" and the angle to 10.7. Level at 0db is quite good. 5. Now change the PU type of this PU to spank bridge. 6. Activate the middle and the bridge PU. 7. Upload to variax. Done. These steps worked for me and everything works as expected.
  16. Obviously a bug. But swapping the neck with the bridge PU and changing the models for the PUs solved it for me. Now that axe is fully working. Seems more like a solution than a workaround.
  17. As the expression pedal needs a potemtiometer from 0 to 10k, you can build a switch which bypasses on one position. On the other it has a 10k resistor. _____10k___ °------------X___________|---------°
  18. Hi starkjo, loosing the last state of a preset is a bug of the timeline, which is fixed now. Try the new beta firmware (1.43) for the timeline. If you switch to a other program the timeline will remember the last bypass/on state.
