I wouldn't have thought that was possible either. Could explain why it is slow though. That is a bit to ask for. I just assumed it wasn't possible so when I set mine up I put my backing track on a USB stick, and my recording goes to the SD card. Maybe try that. And I have the wireless function too with a USB hub. So my wireless and media both go into the M20D USB port. Works well.

Ok. I was not listening when I did this so of course did not hear effect. I was just looking. Thanks for the information. I feel bad as that is almost worse than not reading a manual! My "audio" board doesn't "look" right! Doh!

What I am doing exactly, is double tapping my vocal channel knob, and going to the effects "tweak" page. When I load the preset "male reverb", the reverb setting goes to about -20db. When I load "male delayed" I would expect they"delay" effect to be added, but all the effect knobs remain (or move) all the way to the right (off). There is no delay on my voice when I load "male delayed". As I said, maybe I overwrote the preset, but thought someone else could verify that delay is indeed added when "male delayed" is loaded. Coincidentally, it is the same for the "female delayed". No delay is added.

I am not sure if this is a result of the new firmware, or was there before, or is something I did. I was playing around with the presets. I was loading the vocal presets with effects on them. I had the effects tweak page loaded on my vocal channel. When I loaded the "male vocal reverb", the reverb knob went up, and all other effects down. When I then loaded the "male vocal doubled" preset, the doubler knob went up and all others down. When I loaded the "male vocal delay" preset, ALL the knobs went down to nothing. No effect. I would have expected the "delay" effect to go up. Can someone check their board and see if it is the same? Clearly this is not much of an issue. Just a possible "bug"? Or, maybe I have done something along the way. I backed up and restored my settings. Maybe sometime ago I overwrote the setting after turning the effect off.

Version 1.2 Update
Digital-sound replied to jeanpicasso's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
All went well for me too. Will be trying it out "live" this weekend. Expect no problems. Awesome update. -
Ah, ok. Of course. (Just cause I was first, doesn't necessarily mean I am quick!)

Glad to see my response agrees with yours. For the most part, but part of your answer poses a question. You say that when you send a signal from a channel to a global effect, the master level for that effect is at zero usually. I just want to be clear that at "zero", no effect will be heard correct? You would need the master fx returns to be greater than zero? Zero is off/no effect. No matter how high the signal from the input channel.

I have not been able to try this new version out but I am excited and have done lots of reading. The follow stage is only on the ipad app. When it is engaged, and then you press a stage icon on the M20D hardware, the fader is automatically selected on the ipad. So, it kind of does what it says if you think of it that way. Select stage icon on the M20D hardware, and the ipad "follows" by automatically highlighting the corresponding fader on the ipad app. When the FX center button is selected, you get the global fx screen. There you can control the amount of effect going to the mains, or monitor a, b, c, or d. You would have to go to the input you want and adjust the amount on each input in the "tweak" screen of that input. The global page will increase or decrese the selected effect, but, as the name implies, it will be global. I hope that helps. As I said, I don't have my hands on the new version. I have installed the app on my ipad, but no good until I get back to my board tomorrow!

Version 1.2 Update
Digital-sound replied to jeanpicasso's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
This looks really awesome! I am really glad to see that we can put the fader level and the trim level in one shot. More for the meters than the faders. I like to be able to glance over and see those two meters. Even my studiolive couldn't show them both at once! And I admit, since using the M20D, and having the "auto trim" feature, I have not worried much about input gains since! An awesome update....but...do you think a "monitor only" app will be in the works some day? And, possibly a better Media player as has been requested? But I can only assume great things will keep coming. A huge thanks to Line 6 for the ongoing development. From a very happy customer, who loves updates and looks forward to the next! -

Yeah, good idea...and I had to sit on it TWICE each time I wanted to activate it!!!!! -
Footswitch For Stagescape M20d
Digital-sound replied to Profett's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
I use the Boss FS-5U and it works great. There is also the Boss FS-6 which is two foot switches, and both can be independently latched or momentary. I actually use that one for my DMXIS software and it is also a reliable pedal. The FS-5U is great if you want one, but if you want to use two pedals on the board, then the FS-6 is a great option. To be honest....I stopped there, so I cannot compare to anything else. Other than as dboomer said, you do not want a latching one. Pain in the butt. -

Probably the only thing I would like more than my Line6 gear, is M20d software updates with awesome new features! -
Using A Stage Source L3t As A Bass Rig
Digital-sound replied to dazbec's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Actually, I suppose any amp with a "line out", or preamp plugged into an L3t or L3m would serve well. I a not sure the speaker itself would make a good bass amp, but maybe the L3t would do just fine. Guitar setting, and then play with knobs! -
Using A Stage Source L3t As A Bass Rig
Digital-sound replied to dazbec's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
I have wondered as well. But I think it was probably used together with one of the Line 6 pods. Not direct. The HD500 has the line 6 link technology I believe. I don't know much about it, but have seen some posts. -
Next Firmware Update For M20d?
Digital-sound replied to linesixy's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
I am also in with you guys. It is great how it is, but I would be surprised (but not disappointed) if there were no more updates. That is a major benefit of a software controller. Looking forward to my future with line 6 products. -
Relay In Ear Monitor Solution - Please Please Please
Digital-sound replied to jwheeler91's topic in Relay Digital Wireless
With line6 link technology. Would be really nice. -
telf - I am so glad to read a post from someone as happy with their purchase as I was. I was going to try the stagesource system out before committed to them, because I didn't believe they could compete well with my set up I had. But after the store agreed to get them in for me with no money down try out, I sold my other system. Didn't expect it to sell so quick but when someone wanted it for exactly what I asked, I sold the system. So I had nothing while I waited for the stagesource speakers to arrive. I was worried, but was soon "wowed"! I completely understand how you feel! I love them!

Presets For The 4 Line Ins
Digital-sound replied to duselton's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
I also made the switch from what sounds like the same "nameless" mixer. And I agree with what would be nice, and I believe not too "out there" ideas that duselton mentions. I am also very happy with my switch. And I don't need all of my inputs so I have not noticed any shortcomings with inputs 13-16. What I do miss is a dedicated monitor mix app. The band does ok, but on occasion have adjusted the other guys mix. And, would be better if it worked from an iPhone. Anyway, this is a "line in" topic. Sorry. -
Light Pole Mounts?

Yes, it beats drilling another pole mount in the sub. -
Light Pole Mounts?

How did the holes on the to of the speaker line up with the holes of the pole mount? -
Light Pole Mounts?
Digital-sound replied to litesnsirens's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
I like that idea and did the same with my ef500p's over my ls801p's. I then actually put two more pole mounts in my subs so I could just put the lights on a pole into the subs. I think for the smaller stages, it is a great way to save space and speed up set up. I am g As to see it works on the L3t's too. I don't really want to drill a hole in the L3s for a light pole.....but never know..I might. Glad to see some pictures. Thanks litesnsirens. -
Presets For The 4 Line Ins
Digital-sound replied to duselton's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
I have not used inputs 13-16 so I will check. But surprised that presets cannot be assigned. I do have the light on the mute button as you do. In fact, sometimes from a distance, and angle, I think the mute all is on.....or off. But the channel one appears darker and easier to see the state of the button. There is a way to play back the recorded tracks. Not at my board right now, but push the "record" hardware button on the left, and then I believe it is in there. I have done it, but cannot recall. I will update tomorrow if no one else has responded. -
I was holding back from making a comment because I feel like jeanpicasso. The media feature is great to have, but really, it is a "nicety". However, if it is there, it could be easily made a little more user friendly and act a bit more like the media players we have come to know. (I say easily, but I am not a programmer!). I imagine it is low. I also use and external media player (my Mac mini which is doing lights anyway). I do use the media player for the one backing track we use. It is awesome I can kick it in and stop it with a foot pedal. The band loves it because now we can throw that song in anywhere. Before, I had to turn to the computer and click "play". Bt, if we had more than one, I would have to be careful.

I bought two of the L3t's but use them as mains. So I run them at 12:00 and NI volume or time problems with a while band, so I can't relate. I have an L2m on the way I plan to use as a monitor. I plan on ordering another as well, but I held back to test the one first. I l,an on using the L3t for solo/duo accoustic, but maybe I will get an L2t. Knew there was a reason I held off! And yeah, is guitar your first instrument? Complaining about toommuch volume? Because in my experience, the loud guitar player is right up there with the loud drummer. I remember one night playing and we were too loud. I mentioned it to the guys and everyone turned down a bit. I saw the guitar player go back to his amp during the next song and I could hear the increase....I commented on it after and he says "no, I turned it down!". Yeah, because that is what all guitar players do during the night....DECREASE their volume right??? Ha! I haven't played withe the speaker enough to know what you are talking about, but, I do know that there are tonal changes at different volumes. Which is exactly why the M20D has the "dynamic EQ". But as great as they did on the Stagesource system, I think a dynamic EQ would be pushing it. Maybe, they could just build a mini M20D into these speakers with all the features on two channels and we could run it with an ipad only!
