I have a file in there named L6PODHD5SE64.sys

Hmmm, it should work. I'm using Windows 8.1 and have no problems at all. Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows? Mine is 64-bit.

As I've posted several times over the last year, I've never been able to edit any of the fields for patches I've uploaded to CustomTone. I've only had the option to delete patches, without being able to change anything else or edit in any way. I reported the problem to Line 6 support probably 6 or more months ago, and they said they were aware of some problems like this. I know that some people have never had this problem with their account/patches on CustomTone, but I wanted to mention it for anyone else who was still having problems like I was. It just finally started working out of the blue, so I'm hopeful that they've fixed the problem globally.

I agree with duncann, could be just about any. I'll guess Soldano.

I have the same issue depending on which headphones I use. I have 5 or 6 1/4" to 1/8" adapters and it happens with about half of them.

At home I use an Alto TS110A inputting both XLR channels. Live, I go XLR direct to PA, and then 1/4" left summed to a Kustom 12" powered monitor (don't remember the model number). Between the 3 (Alto, Kustom, and PA), I get fairly close tones to each.
-
I'm not familiar with the songs you're referring to, but there is one HD500X Hillsong patch on CustomTone: http://line6.com/customtone/tone/605078/ I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, but might be worth giving it a try.

Hey Peter, I just checked out the Fender Twin Reverb patch from your website. I really like it quite a bit. I have a low/medium gain patch that I've been using live that uses the Super O and I've always liked the patch, but felt like I wanted to do something a little different with it that I couldn't quite pin down using the Super O. The Fender Twin Reverb patch is perfect for what I've been wanting. I just needed to increase the mids to make it work for what I need. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing.

I'm not familiar with the Radial pedal, but if you run your left 1/4" out from the POD to one speaker and put it far left in the room, and the right 1/4" out to the other speaker and put it far right in the room, yes, this will give you stereo. I can't comment on the interaction/connectivity of the Radial and Mesa in the setup, though.
-
One other thing I like about it is that, even though it obviously doesn't have stereo capabilities due to being a single speaker, it does have two XLR inputs so that you can get both channels of the POD connected to it through XLR. You can always use the mono summed 1/4", but I like being able to use both of the XLR outs to the TS.

I have the TS110A and I love it. It's not very heavy at all, it sounds great, and it seems to be sturdy and well built. I've had it for almost a month and a half now and I think it sounds even better now than when I first bought it. Here's a post from when I first bought it: http://line6.com/support/topic/11327-alto-ts110a-with-hd500x/?hl=ts110a

These sound really good, especially the treadplate. Are both solo and rhythm parts in each of these tracks using the same patch with the same settings, or did you add/modify the settings for the solo guitar?
-
This is me at least once every week or two  (or probably more often if I'm being honest).

Alto TS11A at home, and straight into the PA live.

I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to make good labels at home, but at $2.99 each, I thought the price was pretty reasonable (we've paid more for little fridge magnets on vacation).

I'm playing directly into a FRFR powered monitor, not into an amp, so that may have something to do with it (although I usually find the opposite to be true for me; anything that sounds good on my POD with headphones or FRFR speakers sounds more muffled if I instead plug it into my amp, without turning off studio direct mode). I'll try the new patch and play around with the tone some more when I get a chance.
-
After posting my last response, I noticed that you have updated the patch. I'll give it a try, too. Out of curiosity, what did you change in the updated tone?
-
So that patch is interesting. I like the sound, but on my gear it sounds a little muted and muffled. I believe Gilmour uses the switch position that combines a coil from the neck with the middle pickup. It sounds good there, but strangely better on the bridge double humbuckers on my guitar. I turned down the bass on one of the amps and it sounded better on my gear. Of course any patch is going to sound different on anybody else's equipment, but if I can tweak it and get it sounding less muffled with my gear, I think it could be a good patch.

No problem. I'm happy with them and thinking about ordering a few more named after patches rather than effects (ie. clean, medium, heavy, etc.)
-
Yeah, I wish I had come up with it, myself :D They do these for AxeFX and another Fractal pedal, I believe, as well. The next time I play live will be in a couple of weeks and I'm looking forward to showing them off.

Question about new "old" models in the upcomming Metal Pack
alienux replied to RipperShred's topic in POD HD
If that's the case, is there a list of which models in which packs are HD and which are not? I just re-read the lists on the firmware update info page and in one of the other threads that includes the list and prices, and I realized it doesn't mention anything about HD or not HD (unless I missed something). -
I ordered some of the magnetic labels from Gigwrx last week and they came in yesterday. These are nice quality and I really like how they look. Just thought I'd share. I ordered more than I'll use at once, and one that I rarely would use to turn an effect off with a footswitch (reverb), but it's nice to have the label in case I ever want to.

I'll check this out when I get home. I'm a big fan of the album and love Gilmour's tone on this one.
