  1. There should not be any 2 second pause - if you hit the pedal buttons correctly when creating the loop.
  2. I could not listen to your dropbox files, either - links broken. OK, we're slowly getting somewhere. Have you tried a different USB cable from the UX2 to the computer? Have you tried a different USB port on your computer?
  3. To me you problem appears that you may be putting the recorded sound back through PodFarm, so you're getting the (good) recorded tone put through the FX/amp sim again. If you record the guitar dry, and play it back with PodFarm (as VST) disabled does it sound dry still?
  4. What O/S are you using? There is a setting in Win7 that basically fills up a memory location from any audio being used and when it fills up, it shuts down. rebooting clears it out, then it starts again. Been quite a few years since I changed my settings, I don't remember the details now.
  5. Sorry you are having problems - why have you waited so long to ask questions? I can't listen to your files (at work right now), but can you tell us what your signal chain is - what are you plugging into the UX2? You say that you record 'dry', so I'm guessing you pug your guitar directly into the UX2? How does it sound dry, with no PodFarm on it? If the sound quality is bad at that point, then the problem can be isolated to something in the signal chain.
  6. Which SPider IV amp do you have? Only the HD150 is a true stereo amp.
  7. Yes, get a stereo to mono adapter or splitter, your TS cable is not connecting to the Ring of the headphone jack.
  8. Yes it will work to switch between patches A, B, B and D in the currently selected bank on the amp.
  9. Sorry, it's unclear what your doing. You are connecting a stereo feed to the CD/MP3 input, then listening on the headphone jack? I am guessing that the CD/MP3 input gets merged to mono as its fed into the amp's mono system.
  10. I would imagine the 'emulated headphones' output is stereo? Are you using a stereo-to-mono adapter, or splitting the signal to go to 2 inputs on the UX2?
  11. What version of PodFarm do you have now? There has been no update in quite some time.
  12. No, sorry but you can only use one of the FX2 effects at a time.
  13. Never heard of this problem before. I would recommend backing up all your presets to a computer first, using Spider Edit, then doing a factory reset on the amp. Then reload the patches and see if the problem has cleared up.
  14. I'm not really familiar with FBV Control, but it is a software package - so any 'preset' would be in it, not in the pedal itself. The pedal sends MIDI (or amp switching) signals only.
  15. Yes, it is available (depending on your O/S, of course). http://line6.com/software Select FBV Control, then your O/S
  16. The competition has stepped up to the plate (Amplitube notably) in providing better sound. The question becomes is Line 6 going to stay in the game (of amp sims) or not ....
  17. The settings would be in the patch you are using on your amp.
  18. With the current amp you have two speakers, 1 for left, one for right. The amp must have both sides hooked up to something otherwise an imbalance will occur and eventually burn up something in the amp. If you connected one (mono) speaker cabinet to one of the speaker outputs on the amp (there are 2 - left and right) you would have one side coming out of the one speaker in the combo still connected and the other side coming out of the newly connected cabinet. To get a balanced (left & right) sound, you would need to either: 1) hook up both left and right outputs to the left and right input jacks on a stereo cabinet; or 2) hook up left output to one (mono) cabinet and right output to a second (mono) cabinet. I believe the impedance needs to be at least 8 ohms on the cabinets (check the amp specs), so verify that before hooking up any external speakers.
  19. The FBV Express Mk2 is just a 'switchbox' - any "programming" is done in your amp. You can switch between the 4 patch locations (A,B,C,D) in the patch bank you have chosen on the amp itself. You cannot change banks from the Express MkII - the Shortboard MKII has a bank up/down feature, but to change from 07C to 02A you would have to step on the 'bank down' 5 times, then on the 'A' button.
  20. Musicians Friend says 4-25 (of course yesterday they showed 4-15!)
  21. I don't have a UX1, but just looking through all the online specs for it, I can't see it has phantom power, which you definitely need for that microphone.
  22. The FBV3 is due to be released tomorrow, so you won't have to wait long. It sells for $250. You can pick up an Express MkII used for around $50 these days (they're $100 new).
  23. You might get more answers over in the Amplifi section of these forums, but I would say that if you are not going to be performing with this amp, then the Express would be the quick solution. I have not seen any releases from Line 6 about a new Shortboard model, only the FBV 3 switcher, which is due out this month.
  24. Answered on the other thread you started. It doesn't sound like an FBV problem, but one with the amp.
  25. First try a factory reset - hold the 'A' button in while turning on the power, holding it in for another 4-5 seconds. Did you buy this amp new or used? If new, it's still under warranty and you'll need to bring it to a factory authorized service center for evaluation if a reset doesn't work.
